Free agent WR Kyle Williams will work out for the Jets on Sunday.

Williams missed all of last season after tearing his Achilles early on at Broncos training camp. He hasn't played an NFL snap since 2013. If Williams does sign with the Jets, he'll just be another training camp body.

Broncos placed WR Kyle Williams on injured reserve with a torn Achilles', ending his season.

Williams went down on the first practice of Broncos camp. He tore his ACL twice in 2012-2013. Williams is the son of Chicago White Sox VP Kenny Williams.

Broncos WR Kyle Williams suffered a torn Achilles' in training camp.

It's another setback for Williams, who has dealt with injuries throughout his career. Williams wasn't more than a fringe roster player, but will likely be placed on injured reserve. He was in the mix for Denver's punt-return job. 27-year-old Williams has appeared in 39 games over five seasons.

Broncos WR Kyle Williams was carted off the field after suffering an apparent knee injury in practice Saturday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Williams suffered "at least" a partially torn Achilles. Williams went down awkwardly while attempting to grab a football during a punt-return drill and was visibly distraught as he was carted off the field. It is a tough blow for a player who has become accustomed to them. Williams tore the same ACL in back-to-back seasons from 2012-2013 and missed last year after suffering a shoulder injury in the Chiefs' preseason finale. He is likely done for the season.

Broncos signed WR Kyle Williams and CB Curtis Marsh to reserve/future contracts.

Williams has battled a multitude of injuries the past few seasons, tearing the same ACL in back-to-back seasons from 2012-2013 and then suffering a shoulder injury at the end of this past preseason. He'll turn 28 in March. Marsh appeared in 26 games for the Eagles and Bengals from 2011-2013.

Chiefs placed WR Kyle Williams (shoulder) on injured reserve.

Williams suffered a shoulder injury in the Chiefs' preseason finale. He was competing for one of the final receiver spots before going down. Williams could be released with a settlement when healthy.

Chiefs WR Kyle Williams (knee) is healthy entering training camp.

Williams tore his ACL for the second time in as many years last November. ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher expects Williams to get a chance to win the slot receiver job vacated by Dexter McCluster. Williams will be competing with Junior Hemingway and rookies Weston Dressler and De'Anthony Thomas.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he expects WR Kyle Williams (knee) to be ready for training camp.

Williams is rehabbing from his second ACL surgery in the last two years, so his camp status remains questionable despite Reid's comments. Even when healthy, Williams is a long shot to make Kansas City's roster. Williams appeared in just one game with the Chiefs last season after being claimed off waivers and was re-signed on a one-year, $730,000 contract.

Chiefs re-signed WR Kyle Williams.

The Chiefs claimed Williams off waivers from the 49ers in November last year, and he tore his left ACL a week later. Williams has now torn his left ACL twice in his NFL career. He'll be a long shot for Kansas City's 53-man roster.

Chiefs placed WR Kyle Williams on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

Williams tore his left ACL almost exactly a year ago, and it sounds as if he tore the same one again. Claimed off waivers by the Chiefs from the 49ers nine days ago, he didn't catch a pass in the lone game he was active for Kansas City. Williams didn't look the same this season after last season's knee injury, so it's fair to wonder if his career may be coming to a close. Williams will be a free agent in the spring. Chad Hall has been re-signed to take his spot.

Chiefs claimed WR Kyle Williams off waivers from the 49ers.

Williams was waived on Tuesday after losing his starting job to Mario Manningham. He caught just 12 passes for 113 yards in nine games (five starts) with the 49ers and will be reunited with QB Alex Smith. Williams will be no higher than the No. 4 receiver in Kansas City and remains off the fantasy radar.

49ers waived WR Kyle Williams.

Williams "started" five of the 49ers' first nine games at receiver, but caught just 12 passes for 113 yards. He was also dead last in the league in punt-return average. Williams was a fringe NFL talent even before tearing his ACL last Thanksgiving, so it was extremely surprising how much time he got with San Francisco's offense. He's unlikely to draw much interest on waivers. The 49ers are moving forward with Mario Manningham opposite Anquan Boldin.

Kyle Williams was added to the Week 10 injury report with a knee injury.

Williams practiced in full Friday and is officially listed as probable, so it's not a major concern. With Mario Manningham set to return this week, Williams is going to lose considerable snaps opposite Anquan Boldin. Williams has just 11 catches for 108 yards through eight games.

49ers WR Kyle Williams caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's Week 8 win over the Jaguars, adding one carry for ten yards.

Williams played the No. 2 receiver role with Jon Baldwin (illness) inactive, but that hasn't translated to much production for the reserve-caliber wideout all season, and again didn't today. Look for Mario Manningham (knee, PUP) to return after the 49ers' Week 9 bye, relegating Williams to a fourth receiver at best. Quinton Patton (foot) and Michael Crabtree (Achilles') are also eventually on their way back.
