49ers signed WR Chad Hall from the practice squad.
Hall takes the roster spot of released kicker Billy Cundiff. Hall is a diminutive 5-foot-8 and 187 pounds but has the ability to line up in the slot or in the backfield. He's unlikely to see many, if any, offensive snaps, though. We wouldn't read into this as an indication of Michael Crabtree's game-day status. Jan 19 - 6:55 PM

Eagles signed WR/KR Chad Hall off their practice squad.

It's not a good sign for Jeremy Maclin's shoulder. Hall is a versatile player that can return kicks and carry the ball, but the Eagles have mainly used him as a receiver despite his 5'8/187 frame.

Eagles waived WR/KR Chad Hall.

Philly's fifth wideout for most of the 2010 season, Hall had been battling Sinorice Moss and Johnnie Lee Higgins for the final spot this year. The two veterans held a major size and athletic advantage over Hall, who will be a practice squad candidate.

Chad Hall caught six passes for 84 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.

With the Eagles resting all their regulars, it was Hall that stepped up for Kevin Kolb. The 5'8 undrafted free agent out of Air Force worked the middle of the field well and showed good hands. Regardless, if Hall is forced into action in a meaningful game, the Eagles are in big trouble.

Eagles declared WR Chad Hall, DT Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, CB Ellis Hobbs, TE Garrett Mills, OT King Dunlap, FS Nate Allen, and OG Reggie Wells inactive for Week 10 against the Redskins.

Mike Kafka is the third quarterback. Dimitri Patterson draws the start at right cornerback, replacing the injured and ineffective Hobbs. With Allen also injured, rookie Kurt Coleman gets the first-team nod at free safety.

Eagles signed WR Chad Hall off the practice squad.

Hall will serve as the team's fourth wide receiver with Riley Cooper (concussion) out. There's also a chance that the former Air Force star will see some time in the backfield. He is not a fantasy option.

Eagles waived WR/KR Chad Hall.

Hall quickly became a fan favorite in Philadelphia thanks to his toughness at 5'8/180. The Eagles need depth at receiver more than a kick returner, though, so Hank Baskett will likely stick. Hall is a strong practice squad candidate.

Eagles signed former Air Force WR/KR Chad Hall to a three-year contract.

The Mountain West Conference offensive player of the year as a senior in 2007, Hall was a triple threat as a receiver, running back and returner averaging 208.7 all-purpose yards per game. Now 23, he's spent the past two years as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. The contract isn't guaranteed, so Hall will have to battle for the kickoff returner job.
