Free agent ILB Kavell Conner will visit the Chargers on Wednesday, and is expected to sign.

The Indy-to-San Diego pipeline continues. Conner entered 2013 on the trade block, and ended up playing only 115 snaps. Conner was mostly ineffective as a starter from 2010-12. He'd be a two-down, run-stopping specialist for the Bolts.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Colts ILB Kavell Conner is on the trade block.

A starter most of the past three seasons, Conner tallied 54 tackles in 2012, but played just 326 snaps. He's an early-down thumper. It's an indication the Colts want to start Pat Angerer opposite Jerrell Freeman.

Kavell Conner will enter the season as the Colts' starting weak-side linebacker.

A seventh-round steal last season, Conner has already drawn comparisons to former Titans linebacker David Thornton. Thanks to an appendectomy that kept Ernie Sims out for much of August, Conner had little competition for the job. Sims will play on nickel downs once he gets back to full strength.

Colts president Bill Polian believes that 2010 seventh-round pick Kavell Conner can be "the next David Thornton."

Thornton was a versatile linebacker for the Colts early in his career, coming up as a fourth-round pick and earning a starting job by his second season. Conner, 24, collected nine starts in his rookie campaign. He's in line to compete for a starting position on the strong side during the 2011 offseason.

Colts LB Kavell Conner underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the fractured bone in his left foot.

The Colts are only saying that he's out this week, but it's certainly a multi-week procedure. Cody Glenn will start at weak-side linebacker against the Jags this Sunday if starter Clint Session (hamstring) isn't ready to return.

Colts LB Kavell Conner has a fractured bone in his left foot, according to Fox 31's Josina Anderson.

It leaves the Colts wafer-thin at linebacker. The team is no doubt desperately hoping Clint Session (hamstring) will be ready for Week 4. If he isn't, Cody Glenn would start.

Colts LB Kavell Conner left the stadium Sunday with a protective boot on his left foot.

Conner was injured late in the first quarter and did not return. It left the Colts extremely thin at linebacker as Conner was starting in place of Clint Session (hamstring). Cody Glenn came on for Conner.

LB Kavell Conner left Sunday's game against the Broncos with an unknown injury.

Team trainers looked to be examining Conner's leg on the sideline after he limped off the field. He was later seen being carted off to the locker room. Conner was starting at weak-side linebacker in the place of Clint Sessions, who was out with a hamstring injury. LB Cody Glenn replaced Conner. Conner did not return.

Rookie Kavell Conner could make a second straight start at weak-side linebacker against the Broncos on Sunday.

Starter Clint Session missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, and he's yet to practice this week. Coach Jim Caldwell gave Kavell a mixed review in his starting debut, noting that he showed "some pop and ability" in addition to his inexperience.

Colts signed seventh-round LB Kavell Conner to a four-year contract.

Conner has drawn comparisons to Clint Sessions, who started out at strongside linebacker before moving to the weakside last year. The former Clemson Tiger is headed for a special teams role if he manages to crack the squad as a rookie.
