The Jags signed three players on Monday (also LB JoJo Dickson and K Sam Swank), and Howard is the only one with an outside chance to make the 53-man roster. Titans seventh-round DL David Howard pleaded no contest Monday to a misdemeanor assault charge in Rhode Island.

Working as a bouncer in April of 2009, Howard was accused of punching and kicking a customer at a bar. The charge will be expunged from Howard's record if he steers clear of trouble for one year. The Brown University grad will not face discipline from the NFL.

Titans signed seventh-round DL David Howard to a four-year contract.

A developmental project for defensive line coach Jim Washburn, Howard is an NFL-sized (6'3/293) tackle out of Brown University. The two-time All-Ivy League selection also put up a ridiculous 39 reps in the bench press. With Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle also drafted this year, the rookies have their bases covered if a Trivial Pursuit game breaks out in training camp.
