Ryan Fitzpatrick says Naaman Roosevelt has been "the man" so far in Bills training camp.
"All he does is get open and catch the ball; that's it," Fitzpatrick said. "He's always in the right spot at the right time. You always know what you're going to get from him. He's just Mr. Reliable." Per beat writer Mark Gaughan, Roosevelt has been "showing off his phenomenal hands," and "hauling in a good number of passes, mostly against backup defenders." Roosevelt is squarely on the roster bubble, but that won't last long if his impressive play carries over to preseason games. Tue, Aug 7, 2012 12:33:00 PM

Naaman Roosevelt caught three passes for 29 yards in the Week 17 loss to the Patriots.

Roosevelt fell behind Brad Smith and Derek Hagan on the depth chart. His second season in Buffalo ends with 16 catches for 257 yards and one touchdown in 10 games. Roosevelt will have to battle for a roster spot in 2012.

Bills declared Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) inactive for Week 15 against the Dolphins.

Roosevelt has fallen behind Brad Smith, so he's a healthy scratch. Scott Chandler (ankle) is also inactive, as expected. The rest of the Bills' inactives: DB Josh Nesbitt, OL Sam Young, DL Jarron Gilbert, WR Kamar Aiken and TE Fendi Onobun.

Bills declared WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) active for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Roosevelt is ready to serve as the No. 4 receiver. Stevie Johnson and Brad Smith will start out wide, with David Nelson in the slot. The Bills will be without K Rian Lindell (shoulder), giving Dave Rayner another shot. The rest of their inactives: WR Derek Hagan, WR Kamar Aiken, T Sam Young, DE Kyle Moore, LB Antonio Coleman and S George Wilson.

Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) returned to Bills practice Wednesday, albeit on a limited basis.

It's a big step after Roosevelt failed to step on the practice field last week. If he's able to go again on Thursday, he'll likely be better than 50-50 to suit up against the Titans. Roosevelt still won't be a fantasy option.

Bills coach Chan Gailey said Monday there's a "chance" WR Naaman Roosevelt returns for Week 13.

The Bills are majorly banged up at receiver, so Roosevelt will surely be pushed to return this week. If he's active, he'll likely line up opposite Stevie Johnson on the outside, leaving David Nelson in the slot. His status will be updated on Wednesday.

The Bills have ruled out WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder), SS George Wilson (neck), and K Rian Lindell (shoulder) for Week 12 against the Jets.

Recently promoted Kamar Aiken is expected to dress as the No. 5 receiver behind Brad Smith and Ruvell Martin. Still learning the offense, Derek Hagan is believed to be sixth on the depth chart. Rookie Da'Norris Searcy racked up a team-high 11 tackles starting in place of Wilson last week.

Bills WR Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) missed practice again on Thursday.

Roosevelt's injury could be a reason why the Bills added two receivers to the roster this week instead of just one to compensate for Donald Jones' loss. Roosevelt won't be a fantasy option for Week 12 at the Jets regardless.

Bills WR Naaman Roosevelt did not participate in practice on Wednesday.

The Bills have yet to provide a reason for his absence. In line to play outside (David Nelson in the slot) with Donald Jones out for the season, Roosevelt could be worth a look in deeper PPR leagues if he's able to suit up this week.

Bills slot WR Naaman Roosevelt caught one pass for a 60-yard touchdown against the Giants in Week 6.

Roosevelt went untouched through the heart of the Giants defense for a 60-yard catch-and-run to give the Bills a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. He saw just one other target, which is hardly a comforting thought heading into the Week 7 bye. He's merely a stash in fantasy leagues.

Naaman Roosevelt projects as the Bills' slot receiver going forward.

With Donald Jones (ankle) out 4-6 weeks, Lee Evans in Baltimore, and Roscoe Parrish (ankle) and Marcus Easley (heart) both on I.R., the Bills are scraping the bottom of the barrel. The slot receiver in Chan Gailey's offense has PPR appeal, but Roosevelt is a replacement-level player. He's just a flier in fantasy.

Naaman Roosevelt caught five passes for 41 yards on seven targets in Sunday's win over the Eagles.

The Bills needed somebody to step up after Donald Jones left with an ankle injury midway through the first quarter, and that's exactly what Roosevelt did, hauling in all five of his catches after the first period. Undoubtedly an excellent day for a player who entered the afternoon with just one catch for 28 yards, but not one that is likely to be repeated unless Jones is sidelined for an extended period. Even then, Roosevelt would be little more than a low-upside flier for players in PPR leagues.

Bills signed WR Naaman Roosevelt from the practice squad.

Roosevelt caught nine passes for 139 yards in six games as an undrafted rookie last season. The hometown favorite will function as the Bills' fifth receiver with Roscoe Parrish out for the season.

Bills WR Naaman Roosevelt is expected to miss "a few weeks" with an ankle injury.

There are only two weeks left of preseason games, so it sounds like Roosevelt may be done for the exhibition season. A second-year undrafted free agent, the hometown favorite from the University of Buffalo was fighting for a roster spot.

Naaman Roosevelt caught three passes for 30 yards in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Jets.

That's more like it. Roosevelt posted 74 yards in Week 16 but came back to earth just one game later. The local product (University of Buffalo) is unlikely to ever be a fantasy factor.
