Saints signed WR Preston Parker and DL Jay Richardson to reserve/future contracts.
Parker, who turns 26 next month, caught 40 passes for 554 yards and three touchdowns for the Bucs in 2011, before falling out of favor with new coach Greg Schiano this past season. Richardson is a defensive end/tackle 'tweener. Fri, Jan 4, 2013 05:48:00 PM

Bucs released WR Preston Parker.

At final cuts, Parker was given the nod over Tiquan Underwood. A few weeks later, the two are swapping spots. Parker had no catches on two targets through the first two games and struggled to field punts cleanly.

Preston Parker (foot) is practicing in full this week.

Parker's status was thought to be in doubt after the Bucs re-signed Jordan Shipley, but it turned out to be Sammie Stroughter (foot) who could miss a good chunk of time. Although he's supposedly the Bucs' top slot receiver, Parker is off the radar in PPR leagues.

Bucs WR Preston Parker sustained a foot injury during the Week 2 loss to the Giants.

Parker is theoretically the Bucs' top slot receiver, but he has zero catches on two targets through two games. Jordan Shipley was re-signed Tuesday, hinting that Parker could be sidelined for a bit.

Josh Freeman singled out Bucs slot receiver Preston Parker as a player he's excited about this season.

Parker and Sammie Stroughter have been working with the second team during OTAs, most notably ahead of Dezmon Briscoe and Arrelious Benn. Parker is the clear favorite for the team's third receiver/slot job, but will only see a few targets each week behind Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams.

Bucs signed WR Preston Parker to a one-year, $1 million extension, including $50,000 guaranteed.

Parker signed a one-year, $540,000 deal in April, but is now signed through 2013. A $50,000 signing bonus is the only guaranteed part of his contract, and in a savvy move, the Bucs essentially bought out his 2013 restricted free agent year at less than the RFA tender would have been. Parker is coming off a 40/554/3 campaign, but should be in for a reduced role following Tampa's signing of Vincent Jackson. He'll likely focus on returns this season.

Buccaneers re-signed exclusive rights free agent WR Preston Parker.

The Bucs' slot receiver a year ago, Parker flirted with the fantasy radar in 2011 due largely to the fact that no other Tampa wideouts could get open. That's going to change with Vincent Jackson in Pewter this year. Parker is still an asset for the Buccaneers, but he won't be a fantasy pick in 2012.

Preston Parker caught four passes for 74 yards in the Week 17 loss to the Falcons.

With Arrelious Benn (neck) sidelined, Parker got plenty of chances as the Bucs fell behind 42-0. The second-year slot receiver responded with his best game since Week 2. Parker's season ends with 40 catches for 554 yards and three touchdowns. He projects as a No. 4/5 receiver and returner for the Bucs going forward.

Bucs WR Preston Parker sustained a concussion in Week 16.

Parker returned to a full practice Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday, so he's on track to play against the Falcons on Sunday. Parker has cleared 50 yards just three times all year while totaling 36 receptions for 480 yards and three touchdowns in his second NFL season.

Preston Parker caught four passes for 42 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears.

Today was just the second time in his past five games Parker was able to haul in more than two receptions. Averaging 3.29 catches and 44.3 yards through his first seven games, Parker will be little more than a WR5 coming off the Bucs' Week 8 bye.

Bucs WR Preston Parker caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 6 win over the Saints.

Parker would've been a total non-factor if not for a 19-yard score in the second quarter. A decent little slot receiver in a balanced offense, Parker will struggle to maintain consistency in fantasy leagues going forward. Consider Parker a low-end WR3/flex option only in Week 7 against the Bears.

Preston Parker disappeared in Sunday's blowout loss to the Niners, catching just one ball for 13 yards.

We're not going to pin Parker's struggles entirely on him, but the Niners' man coverage was going to be more difficult for him to beat regardless of Josh Freeman's struggles. Keep an eye on him in deep PPR leagues, but until he can prove his consistency owners should look elsewhere.

Bucs slot WR Preston Parker had five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Colts.

Sandwiched around a 12-yard, one-catch effort in Week 3, Parker has 11 catches for 168 yards in Weeks 2 and 4. In a PPR format he is worth a look with Josh Freeman looking like a checkdown machine, but expect inconsistency from week to week. Parker is on pace for 64 receptions, 892 yards, and four touchdowns.

Bucs WR Preston Parker caught six passes for 98 yards in the team's Week 2 win over Minnesota.

The second-year undrafted free agent worked in the slot all game, and benefited from Mike Williams and Arrelious Benn's struggles with separation. Parker played efficiently, catching six of seven targets. He's an injury fill-in for Sammie Stroughter (foot surgery), and not much of a fantasy prospect.
Sun, Sep 18, 2011 06:03:00 PM

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson said that Preston Parker will step into the slot receiver job with Sammie Stroughter (foot surgery) sidelined.

Stroughter is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. Parker handled himself well yesterday, catching four passes for 44 yards as the Bucs went pass-heavy in the second half. However, the Bucs will use many more two-wide sets in normal situations and Parker isn't a great talent. Only extreme deep leaguers should be monitoring his progress.
