The Broncos have moved Ben Garland from defensive tackle to offensive guard.
Garland was a three-year starter at defensive tackle at Air Force and then signed in Denver as an undrafted free agent after the 2010 draft. He spent two years fulfilling his military duties before sitting on the 2012 practice squad. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder will try to crack the roster at guard this season. May 1 - 8:57 AM

Air Force alum Ben Garland is still pursuing an NFL career and recently gave up an opportunity to begin pilot training.

Garland, who turns 30 in a week, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Broncos last spring and spent the year on the "reserve/military" list. He won't be eligible to play in 2011, but could get a sort of work release from the Air Force next year. Garland is a 6'5/275-pound defensive lineman.
