Eagles signed WR Jeremy Williams to their practice squad.

Chargers waived WRs Jeremy Williams and Seyi Ajirotutu.

A 93-yard punt return TD in the preseason finale couldn't save Williams' roster spot. He was a star in OTAs before fading in training camp. Ajirotutu is considered a better bet for a spot on the practice squad.

Undrafted rookie WR Jeremy Williams' performance has reportedly "leveled off" heading into the third week of preseason.

Williams didn't have a single catch in San Diego's second exhibition game, and fellow undrafted free agent Seyi Ajirotutu may be passing him on the depth chart. Ajirotutu had three receptions for 71 yards over the weekend.

Undrafted rookie Jeremy Williams is "pulling away" in the battle for the Chargers' fifth-receiver job.

With Vincent Jackson still unsigned, Josh Reed and Buster Davis are the third and fourth receivers. Williams has been head and shoulders above Gary Banks and UFA Seyi Ajirotutu. Williams wouldn't have gone undrafted had he not showed up to the Combine with a torn labrum in his shoulder.

It was revealed at the Scouting Combine that Chargers rookie WR Jeremy Williams had a torn labrum in his shoulder.

This explains why such a productive wideout with at least decent speed and size went undrafted last month. The Bolts are essentially holding an open tryout for their No. 5 receiver job behind Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, Legedu Naanee, and Craig Davis. Williams is in the thick of the battle, along with fellow UFA Seyi Ajirotutu and career practice squadder Gary Banks.
