Colts waived/injured K Brett Swenson.

He'll go on injured reserve after clearing waivers. We've not heard word on Swenson's injury, and the Colts have Garrett Lindholm as a camp leg. Adam Vinatieri has dealt with an accumulation of injuries recently and will need rest.

Rookie Brett Swenson is expected to push Adam Vinatieri for the Colts' kicking job in 2010.

Vinatieri has the obvious edge if he proves that his knee is healthy, but Swenson is a name to track. There is already speculation that Vinatieri could be on thin ice if Swenson, Michigan State's MVP last year, impresses this summer.
