Free agent S Darian Stewart will visit the Falcons after he's done visiting Denver.

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News says the Giants are also interested, though no visit has been scheduled. Stewart played all 16 games for Baltimore last season, the first time he's done that in his career. The Falcons are looking to replace Dwight Lowery at free safety.

Free agent S Darian Stewart will visit the Broncos on Thursday.

With FS Rahim Moore expected to depart in free agency, the Broncos have an opening opposite T.J. Ward. Stewart started 14-of-16 games for the Ravens last season, performing well while playing his most snaps (782) since 2011.

The Baltimore Sun confirms Darian Stewart will open training camp as the Ravens' starting free safety.

Stewart played with the first-team defense throughout OTAs and minicamp. He's competing with rookie Terrance Brooks and Jeromy Miles to start opposite Matt Elam. Stewart has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but is the heavy favorite to win the job as long as he stays healthy.

Ravens S Darian Stewart is the front-runner to start at free safety after running with the first-team defense during OTAs.

Stewart has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but he is healthy now and doing "a nice job" according to coach John Harbaugh. The job looks like Stewart's to lose as long as he stays healthy. Third-round S Terrance Brooks ran with the third-team defense during OTAs.

ESPN Ravens blogger Jamison Hensley considers Darian Stewart a "fallback option" at free safety.

Stewart is currently penciled in the starting lineup opposite Matt Elam, but has a history of injury concerns and struggled to play above replacement-level when healthy. The Ravens would be smart to draft a safety in the first or second round, allowing Stewart to be used in a situational role. 25-year-old Stewart has yet to play a full season in his four-year career.

Darian Stewart is expected to be the Ravens starting free safety.

Stewart started 13 games for Steve Spagnuolo's Rams in 2011. Spags is now on the Ravens staff and loves Stewart. The former UDFA had 84 tackles, three sacks, and a pick-six during the 2011 campaign. Stewart has battled nagging injuries his entire career and will need to stay healthy to keep the job.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he was "excited" about S Darian Stewart and "really liked him on tape"

The Ravens need to fill the hole left when Matt Elam shifted over to strong safety, and Stewart should be given the first shot. He will have to stay healthy, though. Stewart has yet to play a full season in his four-year career.

Ravens agreed to terms with S Darian Stewart, formerly of the Rams.

Stewart, 24, appeared in 13 games with St. Louis last season, making six starts and recording 36 tackles with five pass breakups. He was a favorite of old Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo, who is now Baltimore's secondary coach. Stewart has experience at both strong and free safety. The Ravens are searching for a free safety to book end Matt Elam, who they prefer to use in the box.

Free agent SS Darian Stewart is scheduled to visit with the Panthers on Monday.

It's possible the Panthers are no longer interested in Stewart after signing Roman Harper to a two-year deal on Saturday. Stewart appeared in 13 games (six starts) with the Rams last season, finishing with 36 tackles and five pass deflections. He'll compete for a backup role wherever he signs.

Rams FS Darian Stewart (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday.

Stewart has been sidelined since mid-August with a thigh/hamstring issue and missed the first two games of the season. He'll return to a backup role behind Rodney McLeod now that he's finally healthy.

Rams declared S Darian Stewart, DB Quinton Pointer, LB Jonathan Stewart, TE Cory Harkey, OL Barrett Jones, OG Brandon Washington and DE Gerald Rivers inactive for Week 1 against the Cardinals.

Darian Stewart is sidelined by a thigh/hamstring issue. He had already lost out starting free safety duties to Rodney McLeod. The Rams enter Week 1 as one of the league's healthiest teams.
Sun, Sep 8, 2013 03:04:00 PM believes Darian Stewart's hold on the Rams' starting free safety job is loosening.

Stewart suffered a hamstring injury in last week's preseason game against the Packers, and he didn't practice at all this past week. Rodney McLeod has been getting all of the first-team reps next to SS T.J. McDonald, and he'll see plenty of action in Saturday night's regular season dress rehearsal in Denver. Stewart hasn't been able to stay on the field in his young career.

Coach Jeff Fisher said Darian Stewart is "penciled in" as a starting safety.

After Quintin Mikell's release, Stewart is now the elder statesman of the Rams' safety group. Stewart's main problem has been nagging injuries throughout his career, and he's already dealing with them at OTAs. He sat out Thursday's session with a calf issue. The Rams will see if Stewart can hold up through the summer. If not, they could make a move on Kerry Rhodes or re-sign Mikell.

Updating a previous item, Rams S Darian Stewart's one-year contract is worth $1.075 million.

It was originally reported that restricted free agent Stewart was tendered at the original-pick level of $1.323 million, but that's not the case. Stewart, 24, is tentatively expected to compete for one of the Rams' starting safety spots. Injuries and falling behind in a new scheme limited him to 82 defensive snaps in 2012. The Rams have the least amount of cap space in the league.
