The Cardinals are moving WR Teddy Williams back to cornerback.
A 2010 undrafted free agent, Williams entered the NFL as a receiver out of Texas-San Antonio, but converted to corner for the Colts in 2012. He moved back to wideout for Arizona last season, but landed on injured reserve with a torn Achilles' tendon in November. Whatever his position, Williams will be a long-shot to crack the 53-man roster. May 12 - 3:28 PM

Cardinals WR Teddy Williams has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles' tendon.

It's a crushing, season-ending blow for the fourth-year wideout out of Texas-San Antonio. Primarily a special teamer, Williams notched one catch in three games this season.

Cardinals WR Teddy Williams was carted off with an Achilles' injury in Arizona's Week 11 game against the Jaguars.

Williams' injury was essentially non-contact, which is never a good sign with Achilles' ailments. The reserve wideout/special teamer was signed in October.

Teddy Williams caught one pass for 51 yards in Sunday's Week 8 win over the Falcons.

Just signed on Tuesday, the freakishly fast Williams got behind the defense on a play-action fake and should have had a TD. But Carson Palmer underthrew him, making Teddy slow down and get tackled while making the grab. He's a situational deep threat that remains off the fantasy radar.

The Cardinals signed Teddy Williams as a wide receiver.

Williams was a former track star in college that runs in the 4.2s. He was a wideout with the Cowboys, but the Colts moved him to corner once they got their hands on him. Now he's back at wideout as a developmental prospect behind Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and Andre Roberts.

Cardinals signed CB Teddy Williams, formerly of the Colts.

25-year-old Williams keeps getting chances because he can run like the wind. The converted wide receiver will be a long shot for any defensive impact with the Cardinals, though he should be able to cover punts.

Colts promoted CB Teddy Williams from their practice squad and waived CB Marshay Green.

A 6-foot-3, 200-pound converted wideout, Williams will be the Colts' No. 4 cornerback Sunday against the Patriots. He should mostly play special teams.

The Cowboys are moving WR Teddy Williams to cornerback this offseason.

The former UT-San Antonio track star may be perfectly nick-named the "Splendid Sprinter," but his football skill hasn't gotten him on the field in two years with the Cowboys. If he ever makes a contribution, it will likely be on special teams.

Cowboys waived WR Teddy Williams.

Williams, a former sprinter star at UT-San Antonio, spent some time on the Cowboys' active roster late last year. He can go to the practice squad.

The Cowboys reportedly promoted WR Teddy Williams from their practice to block the Dolphins from signing him.

All the "Splendid Sprinter" offers is ridiculous speed, but that's apparently enough to entice at least one other NFL team. The former track star at UT-San Antonio recently switched from cornerback to wide receiver. He's a long-term project.

Cowboys promoted WR Teddy Williams from their practice squad.

The former college track star has blinding speed, but he's as raw as they come as far as football goes. He's no guarantee to see the active roster.

Cowboys signed WR Teddy Williams.

The "Splendid Sprinter" was a track star at UT-San Antonio, breaking the 10-second mark in the 100 meters and clocking in at 4.26 and 4.27 in the forty-yard dash. Unfortunately, he can't play football. "He's got three things," Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones said. "Speed and I forgot the other two."
