ESPN Colts reporter Mike Wells left RB Jordan Todman off his 53-man roster projection.
Todman is theoretically competing with Robert Turbin for the backup role behind Frank Gore, but both could be supplanted by undrafted rookie Josh Ferguson. Todman looked good in limited work with Pittsburgh last season, and it would not be a shock if he beat out Turbin in camp. Jun 20 - 10:14 AM

Colts signed RB Jordan Todman, formerly of the Steelers.

Indianapolis will be Todman's sixth NFL stop since entering the league in 2011. Injuries to Le'Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams forced Todman into a timeshare with Fitzgerald Toussaint late last season. He'll fight with Robert Turbin for scraps behind veteran starter Frank Gore in 2016.
Mar 18 - 2:30 PM

Steelers RB Jordan Todman managed six yards on five carries in Sunday's Divisional Round loss to Denver.

Todman seemed to open the game getting a shot to show a "hot hand" -- potentially as the Steelers' lead back -- but he failed to generate yardage between the tackles and gave way to Fitz Toussaint in the final three quarters. Todman turns 26 next month and is headed for unrestricted free agency.
Jan 17 - 8:21 PM

Jordan Todman rushed 11 times for 65 yards in the Steelers' Wild Card win over the Bengals.

Todman only played 14 snaps to Fitzgerald Toussaint's 49, but he was more explosive with the ball in his hands. Todman ripped off a couple big runs and out-gained Toussaint 65-to-58 on the ground despite six fewer carries. Toussaint made big plays in the passing game, however, and seems to have the coaching staff's trust. Todman will continue to serve as a change-of-pace option if DeAngelo Williams (foot) sits out next week.

Steelers signed RB Jordan Todman, formerly of the Panthers.

Todman spent the preseason with Carolina after playing with the Jaguars the previous two seasons. He has a career 4.1 YPC average, but is nothing more than a change-of-pace back and special teamer.

The Steelers have interest in free agent RB Jordan Todman.

The Steelers are searching for depth behind DeAngelo Williams and Dri Archer while Le'Veon Bell serves a two-game suspension. Todman put up 134 yards on 17 carries during the preseason including a 49-yard touchdown sprint against Pittsburgh on Thursday night. He was among the Panthers' final cuts.

Panthers released/waived RB Jordan Todman, LB Jason Trusnik, S Marcus Ball, LB Brian Blechen, CB Carrington Byndom, OT David Foucault, LB Adarius Glanton, CB T.J. Heath, TE Marcus Lucas, OG Jordan McCray, DT Terry Redden, TE Scott Simonson, OT Martin Wallace and CB Lou Young.

It bodes poorly for Todman's NFL future that he couldn't crack one of the thinnest running back corps in the league. Perhaps he'll be brought back after Week 1, where veteran salaries are no longer guaranteed. Trusnik is a core special teamer.

Panthers reporter David Newton expects RB Jordan Todman to contribute as a kick returner.

Todman will have a tough time unseating fifth-round pick Cameron Artis-Payne or Fozzy Whittaker for snaps behind starter Jonathan Stewart, but he should improve the Panthers' bottom-ten return game. Todman owns a 25.9-yard average over 68 career kick returns.

Panthers signed RB Jordan Todman, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year contract.

Todman didn't get a restricted free agent tender from the Jags even though they only have Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart atop their depth chart. So Todman will fight for a roster spot in Carolina, where they'll continue to add backs behind Jonathan Stewart. Todman, a bit undersized at 5-10/198, does bring some added value as a solid primary kick return candidate.

The Jaguars declined to tender restricted free agents RB Jordan Todman, FB Will Ta’ufo’ou, CB Teddy Williams, G/C Jacques McClendon, and TE Fendi Onobun.

All five become unrestricted free agents, as the Jags deemed none of them worthy of a $1.54 million lowest-possible tender. Todman served as a situational passing-down back in 2014, behind Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson. Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell has had 14 restricted free agents on his watch through three years on the job. He has not tendered a single one of them.

Jordan Todman rushed for 52 yards on seven carries in the Jaguars' Week 17 loss to the Texans, adding five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown.

Todman saw extensive snaps after Toby Gerhart was injured early. He wraps up the season with 186 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries, adding 25 catches for 198 yards and another score. Merely a third-down back and pass-blocking specialist, Todman played just about 300 snaps this season behind Denard Robinson, Toby Gerhart, and, at times, Storm Johnson, though his role remained steady on a weekly basis. That’s something the three other running backs can’t say. Todman will be a restricted free agent in March. He should be back with the Jaguars in 2015.

Jordan Todman rushed five times for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans, adding two catches for five yards.

Todman had the play of the night in the fourth quarter. With the Jags running a fake reverse, Todman took the handoff, made one cut and was off to the races for a 62-yard touchdown. Todman showed serious speed in housing his first score of the year. He could be in for a bigger role in Week 17 if Toby Gerhart (ribs) can't go.

Jordan Todman (quad) is probable for Week 10 against the Cowboys.

Todman sat out practice Friday, but should be ready to roll as the Jaguars' sparingly-used third-down back. His snaps have decreased each of the past three weeks.
Fri, Nov 7, 2014 08:55:00 AM

Jordan Todman caught one pass for 26 yards in the Jaguars' Week 7 win over the Browns.

Todman did not get a rushing attempt. His reception came on a well-designed screen. Even with Storm Johnson's role scaled back and Toby Gerhart (foot) on the shelf, Todman has not been a frequently utilized player in the Jaguars' offense beyond pass-protection situations. If the Jags eventually call up practice squadder Henry Josey, Todman could be the odd man out.
Sun, Oct 19, 2014 05:07:00 PM

Jordan Todman rushed three times for one yard and caught a pass for zero yards in the Jaguars' Week 6 loss to the Titans.

The Jaguars' passing-down back behind Storm Johnson, Todman mixed and matched change-of-pace carries with Denard Robinson, but was ineffective behind Jacksonville's poor run blocking. Todman let his team down with a brutal third-quarter drop that would've gone for a long gain. He had Titans OLB Kam Wimbley beaten on the play. Todman has no value in fantasy leagues.
