Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) confirmed he'll be ready for the offseason program.
Pouncey missed 11-of-16 games this season, in addition to Miami's Wild Card loss. "I feel great right now," he said. "I know I’m healthy, I’ll be healthy in a minute or so. I’m ready for the offseason. I’m going to attack it just like I do any offseason. ... I ain’t retiring for 10 years." One of the best centers in the game, the Dolphins' run game became highly inconsistent when it lost Pouncey for the season. Jan 9 - 5:48 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip, injured reserve) said he will not need surgery.

Sidelined since Week 10 by yet another hip injury, Pouncey was finally placed on injured reserve last week amid concerns he could suffer a career-ending setback by heading back on the field. Even so, Pouncey expects to make a full recovery and plans to participate in the offseason program. We certainly hope that is the case, but Pouncey's history with hip injuries and the apparent serious nature of his latest issue suggests he is at high risk for a setback.

Dolphins placed C Mike Pouncey (hip) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Despite both the Dolphins and Pouncey being hopeful he would return this season, the center seemed headed this way for several weeks. The Dolphins reportedly think Pouncey will be able to return for the offseason program, but his long history of hip injuries suggests is it not a given he avoids setbacks and surgery this offseason. Anthony Steen will continue to start with Pouncey on injured reserve.

"I don't know. We'll see how it goes," Pouncey said. The center did say his hip "feels good" and he is making progress, but that progress has clearly been slow. On the bright side, the Dolphins did get LT Branden Albert and LG Laremy Tunsil back against the Ravens.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said C Mike Pouncey (hip) is still "week to week."

The Dolphins could get back both LT Branden Albert (wrist) and LG Laremy Tunsil (shoulder) this week, but Pouncey does not sound close to returning. Anthony Steen has held his own in Pouncey's place, but the Dolphins will obviously be happy when the Pro Bowler is back in the lineup.

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) is listed as doubtful for Week 11 at Los Angeles.

Pouncey went to see a specialist on Friday to have his troublesome hip examined. As the LT Branden Albert (wrist) was already ruled out, the Dolphins will be missing two key starters on the offensive line against the Rams' talented front four. It is a concern for both Jay Ajayi and Ryan Tannehill. Indications from beat writers are that the Dolphins fear Pouncey will miss multiple weeks. Anthony Steen will replace Pouncey and Laremy Tunsil will replace Albert at left tackle, forcing Kraig Urbik into the starting lineup at left guard.

Mike Pouncey was held out of Thursday's practice after his troublesome hip flared up.

Not good. Pouncey missed the first four games of the season as he returned from a fractured hip. Pouncey's health is one of the main reasons Miami's offensive line, and by extension team, really got rolling the past month. Pouncey's Week 11 status is uncertain, but not looking bright. Anthony Steen is the next man up.
