The Dolphins expect C Mike Pouncey (hip) to resume practicing in Week 5.

The Dolphins' offensive line can use whatever help it can get after Geno Atkins & Co. destroyed it on Thursday Night Football. Pouncey is one of the top centers in the league when healthy. He didn't play in the first four games.
Sep 30 - 2:05 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) has been ruled out for Week 4.

Pouncey is targeting a Week 5 return. With Anthony Steen (ankle) doubtful, Kraig Urbik will likely start against the Bengals.
Sep 28 - 4:36 PM

Dolphins coach Adam Gase suggested C Mike Pouncey (hip) will not play Thursday night against the Bengals.

Even with fill-in C Anthony Steen dealing with a high-ankle sprain, the Dolphins are not going to rush Pouncey back without seeing him in practice. Kraig Urbik will likely draw the start at center Thursday night. Pouncey could return Week 5.
Sep 26 - 11:39 AM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) could be held out until Week 5.

Pouncey hasn't practiced since going down before the opener. His loss has been a major part of Miami's run game struggles, and it sounds like he'll miss at least two more games. The Dolphins are stuck with Anthony Steen until Pouncey returns.
Sep 23 - 7:20 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) is out for Week 3 against the Browns.

He's still not practicing. Pouncey is week to week. Anthony Steen will continue to fill in at center.
Sep 23 - 4:15 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) has been ruled out for Week 2.

Pouncey missed Sunday's opener in Seattle and the Dolphins predictably could not run the ball at all. They won't be able to run it at New England, either.
Sep 16 - 3:22 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey is dealing with a small fracture in his hip.

He'll undergo a CT scan later this week. Pouncey has already been ruled out for Sunday's opener in Seattle and won't be ready for at least another week or two. Anthony Steen will fill in at center.
Sep 11 - 11:37 AM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) has been ruled out for Week 1.

Pouncey is week to week. His loss is a big concern for the Dolphins' interior line in Seattle. Anthony Steen will make his first NFL start on Sunday.
Sep 9 - 4:18 PM

Speaking Monday, Dolphins coach Adam Gase called C Mike Pouncey (hip) week to week.

Barring a miracle, he'll miss Sunday's opener against the Seahawks, leaving second-year UDFA Anthony Steen to man the pivot. Pouncey seems no better than 50-50 for Week 2.
Sep 5 - 2:54 PM

The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad said there has been "no indication" Mike Pouncey (hip) will be ready for Week 1.

Pouncey has been sidelined since mid-August with a hip injury. There was always concern he would not be ready Week 1, and it does not look like he has shown any signs of being ready at practice. Second-year UDFA Anthony Steen would start if Pouncey cannot play.
Sep 5 - 12:28 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey is done for the preseason with a hip injury and his Week 1 status is in question.

A Pro Bowler in each of the last three seasons, Pouncey's loss would be a major blow in Week 1 at Seattle. The Dolphins' backup center is second-year UDFA Anthony Steen. Miami has a ton of moving parts on the interior line with Laremy Tunsil, Jermon Bushrod, Billy Turner, and Dallas Thomas competing for two guard jobs. The last thing they needed was to lose their stalwart pivot.
Aug 21 - 3:25 PM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey said there is "a lot of talent" on Miami's offensive line.

After adding Laremy Tunsil, the Dolphins now have four first-round picks on the line. "I would have never believed that, but I’m looking forward to it," Pouncey said. "We spent a lot of money on this offensive line, so it better be [good]." Pouncey, Tunsil, LT Branden Albert and RT Ja'Wuan James all boast first-round pedigrees. If Tunsil is able to get comfortable at guard and all four stay healthy, the Dolphins should have a stronger offensive line this season.
May 30 - 11:42 AM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) said he's 100 percent healthy.

Pouncey underwent hip surgery after the season, but it sounds like it was minor. He's also recovering from foot surgery after injuring it in Week 15. Keeping Pouncey healthy is key for the Dolphins' makeshift interior line situation.
May 20 - 9:15 AM

Dolphins C Mike Pouncey confirmed he had hip surgery right after the season ended.

The surgery was in addition to an operation to repair the foot injury which kept him out of the season finale. Pouncey has had issues with his hip in the past, but he said this surgery was not to the same hip he had repaired in 2014. Despite the two operations, Pouncey plans to be ready for OTAs.
