Jacquizz Rodgers is battling rookie Davonta Freeman for No. 2 RB duties.
Through three NFL seasons, Rodgers has averaged a paltry 3.63 YPC as an alleged change-of-pace back. We're expecting Freeman to perform far better with the gig. Even with Steven Jackson nearing the end of the line, there's not much Dynasty value in holding Rodgers. Jun 18 - 10:30 AM

Jacquizz Rodgers has hit escalators resulting in a 2014 cap number of $1.436 million.

Thanks to playing on at least 35 percent of the Falcons' snaps in two of his first three NFL seasons, Rodgers' 2014 base salary has jumped from $645,000 to $1.389 million. Steven Jackson also carries a 2014 cap figure of $4.166 million and Jason Snelling will count $1.733 million. It's a lot to pay a largely ineffective running back corps, but the Falcons are well under the 2014 projected cap. They'll likely keep Rodgers as a change-of-pace option behind Jackson.

Jacquizz Rodgers (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17.

Jason Snelling and Antone Smith will share backup duties behind Steven Jackson against the Panthers. Rodgers' third NFL season ends with 673 total yards and four all-purpose touchdowns. Although Rodgers is a largely effective change-of-pace back, the Falcons do not internally view him as a future feature runner, severely capping his long-range fantasy ceiling. He's also yet to clear 4.0 YPC in any of his three years as a professional.

Jacquizz Rodgers (concussion) has yet to be cleared for Week 17.

Rodgers remained out of practice Thursday, and is unlikely to be cleared in time for Sunday's finale. It means Steven Jackson will be backed up by Jason Snelling and Antone Smith against the Panthers.

Jacquizz Rodgers (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.

Rodgers suffered a concussion in Monday night's loss to the 49ers and will be in a race to get cleared for Week 17. His status will be updated again on Thursday.

Jacquizz Rodgers exited Monday night's game against the 49ers and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Rodgers caught a fourth-quarter screen pass and took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Aldon Smith. It wasn't a vicious blow, but it was enough to send Rodgers to the locker room. Jason Snelling and Antone Smith are Steven Jackson's backups. Rodgers rushed for ten yards on three carries and caught three passes for another 15 yards before leaving.

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 17 yards on four carries and caught four passes for 24 yards in Week 15 against the Redskins.

With Antone Smith out with a knee injury, Rodgers handled all of the change-of-pace duties behind Steven Jackson. He's not a fantasy option.

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed seven times for 14 yards and caught three passes for 33 yards in the Falcons' Week 14 loss to Green Bay.

Change-of-pace back Rodgers had a few more touches than usual because Antone Smith departed with a knee injury. Quizz is a Steven Jackson handcuff only as it pertains to fantasy football Weeks 15 and 16.

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed four times for 12 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday's Week 13 win over the Bills.

Rodgers played sparingly as Antone Smith and Jason Snelling both got some change-of-pace snaps behind workhorse Steven Jackson. It's nothing new. Over the last four games, Quizz has totaled 25 touches from scrimmage. He's nothing more than a weak handcuff to Jackson.

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed three times for seven yards in Atlanta's Week 12 loss to the Saints, adding two catches for 31 yards.

Rodgers was a pure change-of-pace option, getting out-touched 19-5 by Steven Jackson. He also ceded some passing-down work to Jason Snelling, further diluting his already faded FLEX value. If you're still trotting 'Quizz out in a 14-team league, it's long past time to move on.

Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) is listed as probable for Thursday night's Week 12 game against the Saints.

Rodgers was upgraded to full participation on Wednesday after being limited Monday and Tuesday. He'll be all systems go but isn't even a flex option.

Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) remained limited in Tuesday's practice.

Rodgers' injury isn't believed to be more than a minor tweak, so he should be active for Thursday's game against the Saints. His status will be updated on Wednesday. Averaging just 7.5 touches for 41 yards from scrimmage over his past four games, Rodgers is little more than a desperation FLEX option.

Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) was limited in Monday's practice.

We didn't notice Rodgers suffer any injuries Sunday, but he did sit and watch Antone Smith and the backups for much of the fourth quarter with the Falcons getting blown out. Rodgers should be fine, but he could lose reps to Smith.
Mon, Nov 18, 2013 09:12:00 PM

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed six times for 22 yards and caught an eight-yard pass in the Falcons' Week 11 loss to Tampa Bay.

Rodgers got seven touches, and then took a seat to watch third-string RB Antone Smith break off gains of 50 and 33 in garbage time. (Jason Snelling was inactive.) Rodgers is playing a similar snap count to Steven Jackson, but isn't being featured in terms of touches. He's just a handcuff in fantasy leagues.
Sun, Nov 17, 2013 05:24:00 PM

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed three times for 31 yards and caught five passes for 28 yards in Sunday's Week 10 loss to the Seahawks.

Rodgers continues to give the Falcons' crumbling offense more life than Steven Jackson, but he's not getting much more work than a few change-of-pace looks. Over the last three weeks, Quizz is getting just 7.6 touches per game. He's not going to be a real flex option unless the Falcons put S-Jax out of his misery and make this a full-blown committee.
