Ravens activated suspended S Will Hill.
Hill served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Hill has been suspended three times since entering the league in 2012, but has been a stand-out safety when on the field. He should quickly push starting FS Darian Stewart for playing time. DT Christo Bilukidi (ankle) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Oct 18 - 1:03 PM

Ravens S Will Hill could receive a reduced suspension.

Hill is currently one game into his six-game suspension for substance abuse. With the NFLPA agreeing to a new drug policy, he could be reinstated before Week 7. Hill should push FS Darian Stewart for snaps whenever he returns.
Sep 12 - 8:10 PM

Ravens signed suspended S Will Hill, formerly of the Giants.

GM Ozzie Newsome may be getting a steal here. Hill, 24, was one of the better safeties in the league last season, racking up 77 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles as a ten-game starter. However, he was slapped with a six-game suspension for violating the substance-abuse policy. It's his third suspension since entering the league. Hill will be eligible to return in Week 7. He should then push Darian Stewart for the starting free safety job.

Free agent S Will Hill has signed with the Arena League's Arizona Rattlers.

Hill was suspended six games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy last week, and was waived by the Giants on Monday. He'll stay fresh in the Arena League until he's able to return to the NFL in Week 7. Despite all the off-field issues, we'd be surprised if Hill's NFL career is over. He's 24 years old.
Jun 6 - 10:44 AM

Former Giants S Will Hill passed through waivers unclaimed.

That's despite a bargain-basement $570,000 salary. Suspended for the first six games of the season, Hill's ability should earn him a deal once his ban is through.
Jun 3 - 5:47 PM

Giants waived S Will Hill.

As beat writer Jordan Raanan notes, the Giants simply can't trust Hill to make the right decisions. He's been suspended three times since entering the league in 2012, including a six-game ban this year for another violation of the substance abuse policy. They'll roll with Stevie Brown at free safety and Antrel Rolle at strong safety. Hill's very significant on-field ability will make him a worthwhile risk for a team just in case he ever gets his head on straight. He was Pro Football Focus' No. 2 overall safety last season.
Jun 2 - 12:19 PM

The Giants "may not welcome back" S Will Hill after his six-game suspension.

Hill has been suspended three times since entering the league in 2012. The New York Post's Paul Schwartz believes "it's almost definite" this third strike will be his last one with the Giants. Hill is an impact safety when on the field and could provide a starting option in Week 7 if the Giants decide to keep him. Stevie Brown is set to replace Hill at free safety opposite Antrel Rolle.
May 30 - 5:59 PM

NFL suspended Giants S Will Hill six games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Hill tried appealing the ban, but came up short and he'll be sidelined until Week 7. Hill has now been suspended three times since being signed by the Giants as a UDFA out of Florida in 2012. A high-impact performer when available for games, 24-year-old Hill graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 2 overall safety in 2013, behind only Devin McCourty. The Giants will enter Week 1 with Stevie Brown starting at free safety, and Antrel Rolle on the strong side.

The Newark Star-Ledger thinks S Will Hill "looks like a goner" from the Giants.

It was recently announced that Hill failed yet another drug test -- his third in three seasons -- and is facing a lengthy suspension. Even though Hill has proven to be extremely talented, he's not worth the headache. The Giants had plenty of safety depth even before drafting Nat Berhe over the weekend.
May 13 - 9:03 AM

The New York Daily News reports FS Will Hill is likely "done" with the Giants after failing another drug test.

Hill is facing a lengthy suspension, one that could cost him 6-8 games or an entire calendar year. It'll be Hill's third suspension in as many seasons, though he does plan to appeal. Whether he wins that appeal or not isn't expected to matter in terms of saving his job with the Giants. The team is reportedly "livid" at Hill's continued drug issues. He was PFF's No. 2 overall safety in 2013.
Apr 22 - 10:23 AM

Giants FS Will Hill is facing another suspension for violating the league's drug policy.

Hill has been suspended in each of his first two seasons, one for violating the PED policy and the other for illegal substances. The troubled former Florida Gator has reportedly failed another drug test and could be facing a yearlong ban. Hill has admitted in the past that he enjoys smoking marijuana. He has gobs of talent but may not be in the league much longer if he continues to blaze up.
Apr 22 - 9:12 AM

Giants FS Will Hill could face a third drug suspension in as many seasons during 2014.

Hill was arrested on December 20 on a warrant related to being more than $9,000 behind on child support. The Newark-Star Ledger was recently informed that officers detected a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle Hill was driving. Hill has served two separate four-game suspensions since he entered the league. The next, we believe, would be an eight-game ban. Some believe the Giants could release Hill, even after he had a breakout season in 2013.
Jan 4 - 10:12 AM

Giants FS Will Hill was arrested Friday night on a warrant related to child support.

The Giants are calling the incident a "personal matter." Hill made the trip to Detroit with the team on Saturday and is still expected to start against the Lions.

ESPN Giants blogger Dan Graziano writes the team "really believes they have a good player" in S Will Hill.

Hill has come a long way. Nobody has ever doubted his talent. He was a five-star recruit when he committed to Florida. Hill then had numerous off-field issues and went undrafted in 2011. He's served two separate four-game suspensions in the NFL. But he's showed up on the field in 2013, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 7 overall safety. Hill has been one of the lone bright spots for the G-Men and could make Antrel Rolle expendable in the offseason.
Sat, Nov 23, 2013 10:59:00 AM

Suspended Giants S Will Hill admitted that his four-game substance-abuse ban was the result of "multiple" failed marijuana tests.

Hill opened up and said that he even spent a month in a rehab clinic. He's been an off-field mess ever since his days at Florida. Hill is competing for the No. 4 safety job in New York, but he's skating on very thin ice.
