ESPN's Jenna Laine reports the Buccaneers and Browns both tried to trade for former Rams DE Robert Quinn.
The Bucs reportedly offered a fourth-round pick and the Browns a fifth, but the Dolphins acquired him for a fourth-round pick and an exchange of sixth-round picks. With the number of draft picks the Browns have, it's fairly surprising they weren't able to work out a deal for a player that could help improve their pass-rush. Mar 4 - 4:23 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins have acquired DE Robert Quinn from the Rams.

The Rams are getting back a fourth-rounder in April's draft while the two sides are also exchanging sixth-round picks. Quinn was a first-team All-Pro in 2013 and amassed a whopping 40 sacks between 2012-2014. He missed 15 games in 2015 and 2016 but played in all 16 last season, notching 8.5 sacks as a stand-up 3-4 linebacker. He'll go back to his traditional 4-3 end spot in Miami, joining Cameron Wake and 2017 first-rounder Charles Harris. Quinn, 28 in May, is signed through 2019. The move saves the Rams a much-needed $11.4 million against the cap but creates a gaping edge-rusher hole.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs "were pushing to trade for" Rams OLB Robert Quinn in talks around CB Marcus Peters, but Quinn is unlikely to be part of the package.

Quinn, 28 in May, was once one of the most feared pass rushers in the sport after accumulating 40 sacks from 2012-2014, but he missed a bunch of time to injury in 2015 and 2016 before notching 8.5 sacks in his first year as a 3-4 outside linebacker under DC Wade Phillips last year. There's been some chatter the Rams could release him, which would clear over $11.4 million in cap space. But since they weren't willing to make Quinn part of the trade for Peters, it sounds like Quinn will be back in L.A. Draft picks are expected to go to Kansas City.

Rams OLB Robert Quinn (illness) returned to practice Wednesday.

Quinn missed every practice last week and the game against the Texans with an undisclosed illness. He was limited on Wednesday, but even that level of work puts him on track to return this week. Quinn has just 2.5 sacks in eight games this season.

Rams OLB Robert Quinn (illness) is inactive for Week 10 against the Texans.

Quinn was listed as doubtful because of an undisclosed illness on the final injury report. He will be joined on the sidelines by Malcolm Brown (knee), TE Derek Carrier (hamstring), WR Mike Thomas, OT Cornelius Lucas, QB Brandon Allen, and RB Justin Davis.

Rams OLB Robert Quinn said he's recovered from the hand surgery that sidelined him during OTAs.

Quinn admitted his hand was "messed up a little bit," but expects to be ready for the Rams' first practice on Saturday. The former first-team All-Pro is hoping for a bounce-back year after recording a career-worst four sacks last season.

Rams OLB Robert Quinn is recovering from "minor" hand surgery, and expected to be ready for training camp.

Quinn was spotted with his right hand in a cast on Tuesday. It's not a concern in and of itself, but Quinn's health has become an annual question mark. Quinn is still only 27, but has fallen a long way from the pass-rushing force he was the first four years of his career. He has nine sacks across 17 games the past two seasons. Getting Quinn on track should be one of Wade Phillips' priorities.

Robert Quinn will play outside linebacker in the Rams' new 3-4 defense, but remain a down lineman in nickel situations.

Nickel situations, of course, are more common than not in the modern NFL. New coach Sean McVay compared Quinn's expected 2017 usage to DeMarcus Ware's, saying he'll play "Will" linebacker but "be treated like a rush end." The key to Quinn's season will be his health, not his "new" position. Quinn has appeared in just 17 games over the past two years.

Rams placed DE Robert Quinn on injured reserve with a concussion, ending his season.

It ends an injury-plagued, disappointing season for the sometimes elite pass rusher. Quinn had missed the past two games with a concussion, and previously dealt with a shoulder issue and mysterious illness. Quinn underwent back surgery last offseason. Although he's still only 26, and signed through 2019, Quinn has been a disappointment the past two years, registering nine sacks in 17 games. He'll be a bounce-back candidate in 2017, but needs a healthy offseason.

Rams DE Robert Quinn (concussion) is doubtful for Week 15 against the Seahawks.

This will be his third straight absence. Quinn practiced fully on Friday but has been a DNP all week. Obviously he's had some sort of setback. With nothing left to play for, Quinn may as well call it a season.

Rams declared DE Robert Quinn, CB Blake Countess, RB Benny Cunningham, CB E.J. Gaines, TE/FB Cory Harkey, QB Sean Mannion and OT Pace Murphy inactive for Week 14 against the Falcons.

Quinn will miss his second straight game with a concussion. His absence comes as a surprise after putting in a full practice on Friday. Benny Cunningham is out after being listed as doubtful with a neck injury.

Rams DE Robert Quinn (concussion) is questionable for Week 14 against the Falcons.

He was a full participant at Friday's practice and is fully expected to play on Sunday. Quinn missed last week's game with a concussion. Tavon Austin is also expected to return after sitting out Week 13 with a chest injury.

Rams declared RE Robert Quinn, LG Rodger Saffold, WR Tavon Austin, QB Sean Mannion, CB Steve Williams, OT Pace Murphy, and TE Temarrick Hemingway inactive for Week 13 against the Patriots.

Quinn has a concussion, Saffold a hand injury, and Austin a chest issue. Look for rookie Pharoh Cooper to handle slot duties in place of Austin.

Rams DE Robert Quinn (concussion, questionable) is unlikely to play Sunday in Week 13 against the Patriots.

Quinn didn't practice all week and remains in the league's concussion protocol. Consider him week to week. It's a big blow to the Rams' pass rush and should give Tom Brady more time to throw, which is never a good thing for opposing defenses.

Rams RE Robert Quinn (concussion) missed practice again on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 13 at New England.

It looks like Quinn was unable to earn medical clearance and will miss Sunday's bout with Tom Brady, significantly upgrading Brady's matchup. Quinn is by far the Rams' top outside pass rusher.
