Jets WR Greg Salas caught two balls for 48 yards in Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Ravens.
Salas, filling in for usual slot man Jeremy Kerley (elbow), was the Jets' leading receiver against Baltimore. A situational backup in a dysfunctional passing offense, Salas is without value in re-draft fantasy leagues. Sun, Nov 24, 2013 04:38:00 PM

Greg Salas caught two passes for 57 yards in Sunday's Week 9 win over the Saints.

With Jeremy Kerley (elbow) leaving early on, Salas came on and did well to show burst on a pair of wideout screens. He'll see very limited snaps going forward, especially if Santonio Holmes (hamstring) is back after the Week 10 bye.

Jets signed WR Greg Salas.

The Jets plucked the former Patriot and Ram off the Eagles' practice squad. He's the second receiver the Jets signed on Tuesday, suggesting Clyde Gates (shoulder) could miss Week 7, and that Santonio Holmes (hamstring) will be sidelined at least one more game. Salas was released at final cuts even after going 7/107/1 in the preseason. He'll bring up the rear of the Jets' receiver corps.

Eagles signed WR Greg Salas, OT Michael Bamiro, LB Travis Long and RB Matthew Tucker to the practice squad.

Salas had a strong preseason, but has a very mixed regular-season record. It stands to reason he'll eventually get a look on the 53-man roster. The top name available for this year's Supplemental Draft, Bamiro needs a year to develop before making another roster bid.

Eagles waived WR Greg Salas, OLB Chris McCoy, and OLB Travis Long.

Salas is a surprise after a strong preseason. Chip Kelly is keeping former college pal Jeff Maehl over him. The Eagles will only carry three outside linebackers: Trent Cole, Connor Barwin, and Brandon Graham.

CSN Philly considers WR Greg Salas in the lead for a roster spot.

Salas was dumped by the receiver-needy Rams last fall and subsequently waived by the Patriots, but was apparently having an "outstanding" camp before leading Philly in receiving (3-54) in the preseason opener and securing a 12-yard TD from Matt Barkley. It speaks to how serious the Eagles' issues at receiver are behind DeSean Jackson. Salas won't approach fantasy relevance this season.

Eagles claimed WR Greg Salas off waivers from the Patriots.

They waived Mardy Gilyard to make room. Salas, a fourth-round pick out of Hawaii two Aprils ago, will start out low on Philadelphia's wide receiver depth chart. He can return punts and play offensively in the slot and at flanker.

Patriots waived WR Greg Salas and activated G/T Markus Zusevics from the NFI list.

Hint, hint: The Pats wouldn't be cutting Salas if Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd were in any danger of missing Thursday night's game. Despite questionable tags, they will both play. Zusevics is an undrafted rookie out of Iowa. He tore his pectoral muscle during the pre-draft process but has swing-lineman potential.

Patriots signed WR Greg Salas from the team's practice squad.

Salas was acquired from the Rams prior to the start of the regular season and was on the roster for a week prior to being waived and subsequently signed to the practice squad. The second-year wideout also received a pay raise to keep him from leaving for another team's 53-man roster while on the practice squad. Salas will take the roster spot of the released Deion Branch. The Patriots have three receivers on the Week 11 injury report.

The Patriots recently increased the practice squad pay of WR Greg Salas from $149,600 to $465,001.

The significant pay bump was likely extended because another team tried to poach Salas off the New England practice squad. At $465,001, Salas' salary is now $1 more than what it would be at the league minimum for a second-year player. Salas is likely to receive a late-season callup from the Patriots.

Patriots signed WR Greg Salas to the practice squad.

Salas passed through waivers unclaimed after surprisingly being cut loose on Tuesday. He'll provide some youthful insurance for the Patriots' veteran receiver corps, but only one year removed from making 27 catches in six games as a fourth-round rookie, the Pats could have a hard time keeping him on the practice squad.

The Patriots have reportedly waived WR Greg Salas, RB Lex Hilliard and LB Mike Rivera.

Salas' release is a surprise, less than three weeks after the Pats reunited him with ex-Rams coordinator Josh McDaniels for the cost of a conditional 2015 draft pick. Salas must not have shown much in practices, as he had yet to see the field in the first two games. The Patriots worked out free agent WR Brian Robiskie on Tuesday.

Patriots acquired WR Greg Salas from the Rams in exchange for a conditional 2015 pick.

Salas will be reuniting with OC Josh McDaniels, who pushed to make Salas the No. 112 pick of last year's draft when he was the Rams' offensive coordinator. Capable of manning both the outside and slot, Salas was coming on in the slot before breaking his leg in Week 9 last season, making 22 catches for 216 yards in the four games prior. He'll open the year as the Patriots' No. 5 receiver.

Greg Salas has been moved from slot receiver to the outside in training camp.

Salas played out wide quite a bit at Hawaii and "continues to look good" making a "seamless transition" in recent practices. With Danny Amendola handling the slot, Salas will compete with Brian Quick, Brandon Gibson and Steve Smith for the two outside starting jobs.

TurfShowTimes.com reports WR Greg Salas is "really getting play" early in Rams camp.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas recently cautioned not to sleep on the 2011 fourth-rounder. Salas got off to a rough start last season, but acquitted himself well after being inserted in the slot in Week 6. A broken leg sent him to injured reserve in Week 10. Salas appears to be winning over his new coaching staff, but the healthy return of Danny Amendola caps his fantasy upside.
