Saints signed LB Lawrence Wilson, CB Nick Hixson, OG DeOn’tae Pannell, and OT Hutch Eckerson.

Wilson is an athletic, but undersized former sixth-round pick out of UConn. He'll try to make the Saints as a special teamer. Eckerson spent last offseason in Chargers training camp. Pannell is a UDFA out of Penn State.

A sixth-round pick out of UConn last year, Wilson spent his rookie season on the practice squad. He is athletic, but undersized. Ta'ufo'ou saw time with the Bears before landing in Nashville last season.

Panthers practice squad LB Lawrence Wilson was arrested Wednesday with 11 grams of marijuana after getting pulled over for speeding.

According to the police report, Wilson began to cry and ask what it would do to his career. He was cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and speeding.

Panthers selected Connecticut LB Lawrence Wilson with the No. 166 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

A four-year starter, Wilson took home all-Big East honors in both his junior and senior seasons. However, despite good height and speed, he is very under-sized and easily blocked. Could be used on passing downs, but his NFL future is likely in special teams.
