Rams TE Lance Kendricks had his right knee scoped last month.
Kendricks was dealing with swelling in his knee and decided to have it cleaned out. The former second-round pick showed up on the injury report a couple of times last season with a knee injury, but he didn't miss a game. With Jared Cook in town, Kendricks is expected to focus on blocking in 2013. He's sitting out OTAs, but he should be ready for training camp. May 23 - 4:44 PM

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 33 yards versus the Seahawks in Week 17.

Kendricks had a much better sophomore season after he struggled badly with drops as a rookie in 2011. The former Wisconsin tight end caught 42 passes for 519 yards and four touchdowns while also proving to be a force as a willing blocker. The Rams could do a lot worse at the position, but there's also a lot of room for improvement. If the Titans' Jared Cook somehow makes it to free agency and avoids the franchise tag in Tennessee, reuniting with Jeff Fisher in St. Louis seems like a perfect fit.

Lance Kendricks caught four passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in St. Louis' Week 16 win over the Bucs.

The 100-yard game was the first of Kendricks' career, and came thanks in large part to an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the second half. Wide open down the seam, Kendricks looked like an offensive lineman lumbering toward the end zone, but managed to make a tackler miss on what will likely go down as the longest play of his career. The 119 yards were a new career high by 48.

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 35 yards in St. Louis' Week 15 loss to the Vikings.

The three-catch, 30-yard effort was Kendricks' third straight, while the touchdown was his third of the year. Kendricks has been slowly stabilizing his "real-life" value, but hasn't done anything to suggest he'll be a fantasy factor in 2013.

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 36 yards in St. Louis' Week 14 win over the Bills.

Kendricks was targeted eight times, but had trouble connecting with an inaccurate Sam Bradford. The second-year tight end has now been held to three catches or fewer in 11-of-13 games this season. He's not a compelling Dynasty-league prospect.
Sun, Dec 9, 2012 05:23:00 PM

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 32 yards in St. Louis' Week 13 win over the 49ers, but committed costly drops on each of his other two targets.

In other words, a typical day at the office for the second-year pro. He's on pace for just 39 catches and 395 yards. Kendricks' pedigree as a second-round pick should have his roster spot safe for 2013, but he'd do well to have the best offseason of his life. Kendricks' Dynasty light is flickering.

Lance Kendricks caught a 37-yard touchdown in St. Louis' Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Kendricks' second-quarter score was his only catch of the afternoon. Although it was nice to see Kendricks get his second touchdown of the season, he's still just a bit player in the Rams' middling aerial attack.

Lance Kendricks is questionable for Week 12 with a knee injury.

Kendricks missed Wednesday's practice before getting in limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. He'll likely be a game-time decision against Arizona. With bye weeks over and done with, Kendricks is no longer even on the TE2 radar.
Fri, Nov 23, 2012 06:31:00 PM

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 14 yards in the Rams' Week 11 loss to the Jets.

He also departed late with a left foot injury. Averaging just 2.5 catches for 22.7 yards, Kendricks isn't looking like any less of a bust during his second NFL season.
Sun, Nov 18, 2012 05:33:00 PM

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 48 yards in St. Louis' Week 10 tie with the 49ers.

The 48 yards were a season high for the 2011 second-round pick. That should tell you all you need to know about Kendricks' fantasy value, though if you're looking for a silver lining, he's now notched at least three catches in three of his past four games. However, one of his grabs came on a fake punt. Kendricks is a low-end TE2.
Sun, Nov 11, 2012 09:13:00 PM

Lance Kendricks caught four passes for 32 yards in St. Louis' Week 8 loss to the Patriots.

The four catches matched a season high for Kendricks, while the 32 yards were his second most of 2012. That should tell you all you need to know about the cement-footed tight end's fantasy value.

Lance Kendricks caught four passes for 40 yards in St. Louis' Week 6 loss to the Dolphins.

Both the catches and yards were season highs for Kendricks, who now has 13 grabs for 128 yards through six games. Perhaps Kendricks' role will finally grow in the absence of Danny Amendola, but it's doubtful to be enough to turn him into a viable bye-week fill-in.

The Rams want TE Lance Kendricks to improve on his "out-of-frame" catching.

Kendricks has good hands, but struggles at times when he has to reach away from his body for the football. The second-year man has just 10 catches for 88 yards and one touchdown through five games despite playing on about 85 percent of the snaps. Even with Danny Amendola (collarbone) sidelined, we can't treat Kendricks as a viable fantasy option.

Lance Kendricks caught one pass for seven yards and a touchdown in Week 5.

Kendricks opened up the scoring on the game's opening drive, beating Cardinals LB Paris Lenon for a red zone score. With the St. Louis offensive line decimated by injuries, Kendricks is being used mostly as a blocker. He saw just two targets on the night, dropping the other. The second-year tight end is not a fantasy option.

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 22 yards in St. Louis' Week 4 win over the Seahawks.

He was targeted only twice. With four games in the books, Kendricks has looked sharper than he did during a lost rookie season, but is still on pace for only 36 catches and 324 yards. He's not worth a bench spot in deeper leagues.
