Lance Kendricks is recovering from thumb surgery, and is questionable for Week 7.

According to coach Jeff Fisher, Kendricks has been playing hurt since Week 1. That could explain some of Kendricks' costly drops. He should be considered week to week, and will likely be back by Week 8.
Oct 15 - 1:45 PM

Lance Kendricks took a slightly smaller offer to re-sign with the Rams rather than sign with the Falcons.

One of the reasons Kendricks stayed (at four years and $18.5M) was due to a promise of an expanded role in the passing game. We'll believe it when we see it, especially with Jared Cook still looming. Kendricks, whose value is more tied to versatility and blocking, is coming off a meager 27-259-5 campaign. The Falcons settled for cheapies Tony Moeaki and Jacob Tamme as free agent additions at tight end.
Apr 6 - 8:28 AM

Rams re-signed TE Lance Kendricks to a four-year, $18.5 million contract.

It's a mild upset, as Kendricks has always been a disappointment as a pass catcher in St. Louis. He offers a big frame in the red zone, however, and is an adequate blocker. He's a more well-rounded player than Jared Cook. Kendricks will remain well off the fantasy radar in 2015.
Mar 10 - 5:31 PM

The Falcons are expected to pursue free agent TE Lance Kendricks.

Kendricks can block and has some red-zone chops, though he isn't much of a "move" tight end. He would upgrade on Levine Toilolo under new Falcons OC Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan has a history of funneling targets to tight ends.
Mar 10 - 2:37 PM

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch thinks the Patriots could make a run at free agent TE Lance Kendricks.

Patriots OC Josh McDaniels was the play-caller in St. Louis when the Rams drafted Kendricks 47th overall in the 2011 draft and went as far to "pound the table" for him. It proved to be a significant reach, as Kendricks never developed into a pass-catching threat for the Rams. But he's a solid do-it-all tight end who could make for a solid running mate with Rob Gronkowski in New England.
Mar 6 - 12:01 PM

Free agent TE Lance Kendricks is seeking $4 million annually.

A blocking and red-zone specialist, Kendricks had a 27/259/5 line as the No. 2 tight end behind Jared Cook last year. The Rams are fully expected to let him test the open market. Kendricks will be one of free agency's bigger overpays if teams are willing to meet his asking price.
Feb 21 - 5:04 PM

Lance Kendricks caught one pass for 17 yards in the Rams' Week 17 loss to Seattle.

The Rams’ red-zone specialist and blocking tight end, Kendricks is a valuable piece. He knows how to get open at the goal line and can make the tough catches. But Kendricks isn’t a high-volume pass-game target. The Rams will likely try to re-sign Kendricks as a free agent. He’s not going to break the bank.

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 35 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Giants.

Kendricks exploited the seam nicely for a 23-yard score in the third quarter. The Rams No. 2 tight end takes a 26-230-5 line into the finale at Seattle.

Lance Kendricks was held without a catch in Saturday's preseason game.

He was targeted twice. Kendricks has four grabs for 35 yards through three exhibition contests. He's well off the fantasy radar as the Rams' No. 2 tight end.
Sun, Aug 24, 2014 01:23:00 AM

Lance Kendricks caught five balls for 54 yards in the Rams' Week 17 loss to the Seahawks.

Evolving into more of an in-line blocking tight end than the pass-catching weapon he was supposed to be coming out of Wisconsin, Kendricks ends his third NFL regular season with 32 catches for 258 yards and four touchdowns. Kendricks will not be worth a pick in 2014 re-draft fantasy leagues and has little or no Dynasty league value.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks (finger) is practicing in full for Week 12.

Kendricks is fully healthy with the Rams coming off their bye. He'll continue to play in two tight end sets behind Jared Cook, but remains off the fantasy radar.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks (finger) is listed as doubtful for Week 10.

Kendricks suffered a fractured finger in Sunday's loss to the Titans and didn't practice all week. Mike McNeill and H-back Cory Harkey will replace him in two tight ends sets behind Jared Cook.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks suffered a fractured finger in Week 9 and "could miss some time."

Kendricks' playing time has risen recently because he's a critical blocker on the now-run-minded Rams. His backup is former UCLA TE Cory Harkey.

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 23 yards in Week 8 versus Seattle.

Kendricks saw five targets, good for second-most on the team along with Chris Givens. The Rams are playing a lot of two- and three-tight end sets, so Kendricks is heavily involved on offense. However, it's not enough to make him fantasy-worthy. Kendricks is a TE3 in the deepest of fantasy leagues.
