Free agent DL Terrell McClain is visiting the Dolphins on Friday.

McClain has made several visits since being released in April but is still looking for work following a disappointing one-year stop in Washington. Despite his lackluster performance last season, he would be an immediate help on the Dolphins' interior line. McClain would likely compete with Jordan Phillips, Davon Godchaux, and the recently acquired Akeem Spence at defensive tackle.

Redskins released DL Terrell McClain.

McClain signed a "four-year, $21 million" contract last year which reportedly included guaranteed money this season, but ESPN's John Keim reports McClain's $3.25 million base salary was not guaranteed. Either way, McClain is looking for work following a lackluster one-year stop in Washington. DL A.J. Francis was also cut.

Redskins agreed to terms with DL Terrell McClain, formerly of the Cowboys, on a four-year contract.

Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post reports the deal is worth "north of $21 million." Washington needed help on the defensive line, but McClain is not the impact option they are searching for, especially with Chris Baker looking likely to bolt in free agency. They still have more work to do.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have "some interest" in free agent DT Terrell McClain.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports the Falcons and Seahawks have interest in free agent DT Terrell McClain.

McClain is a run-of-the-mill defensive tackle going on age 29, but lower-tier free agents are going to be paid like mid-tier players, and mid-tier players are going to get star money in a market where teams are wielding such large bankrolls. McClain lands somewhere between a low- and mid-tier free agent. McClain would be a rotational interior lineman in both Seattle and Atlanta.

Cowboys NT Terrell McClain will miss this weekend's preseason game with a high-ankle sprain, but "fully expects" to return to practice next week.

Penciled in as the Cowboys' starting nose tackle, McClain has been sidelined for the majority of camp. A journeyman, McClain's job would be in danger for any other club, but the Cowboys have less front-seven depth than any team in recent memory. Provided he can get back on the field sometime in the next 10 days, McClain should be in the Week 1 lineup.

ESPN Dallas expects Terrell McClain to push for the Cowboys' starting nose tackle job.

Nick Hayden worked with the first-team defense throughout OTAs, but his job is tenuous. McClain, a former third-round pick, has a chance to start at one-technique in Rod Marinelli's 4-3. Henry Melton is locked in at the three-technique spot.
