Seahawks OG John Moffitt pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $1,407.
Moffitt also received a suspended sentence of 24 months in jail, but he won't have to serve it as long as he avoids further legal trouble. Moffitt originally faced two misdemeanor charges -- criminal trespassing and obstruction of a law enforcement officer -- following a series of three different incidents at Bellevue Square mall. He shouldn't face any discipline from the NFL. Jun 17 - 6:10 PM

Seahawks OG John Moffitt was absent from OTAs on Tuesday due to a court appearance.

The charges are misdemeanors for trespassing and obstruction, and shouldn't have an impact on the upcoming season. Moffitt began last season as the starting right guard, but missed time due to elbow and knee injuries before eventually being scratched healthy. He's back to competing for a job.
May 28 - 8:12 PM

Seahawks OG John Moffitt is active for Sunday's Wild Card round game at the Redskins after being a healthy scratch the past two weeks.

J.R. Sweezy is expected to draw the start at right guard, but Moffitt could end up splitting time. Seahawks inactives: WR Deon Butler, OG Rishaw Johnson, OT Mike Person, S Winston Guy, CB DeShawn Shead, LB Allen Bradford, and DT Jaye Howard. Seattle doesn't have a single injured-related inactive for the playoffs.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt (knee) returned to practice on Monday.

Moffitt was injured in Week 3 against the Packers, and Monday was his first practice since going down with the injury. Paul McQuistan has been starting at right guard for the Seahawks, and according to Pro Football Focus, he has been an above average run blocker.

Seahawks declared RG John Moffitt, WR Charly Martin, SS Winston Guy, CB Danny Gorrer, CB Jeremy Lane, DT Clinton McDonald and DT Jaye Howard inactive for Week 6 against the Patriots.

Marshawn Lynch was limited in Wednesday's practice for rest purposes, but was full go on both Thursday and Friday. He's ready to go against the Patriots' top-10 run defense. Pat McQuistan is making another start in Moffitt's absence. Moffitt remains week-to-week.

The Seahawks have no timetable for RG John Moffitt's (knee) return.

Pat McQuistan played well in place of Moffitt in last week's win over Carolina, so Seattle should be able to wait out the absence. "It was a little bit more serious than we thought," Carroll said. "So we're just making sure we're taking care of him. We're OK on the depth chart right now so it's working out."

Seahawks RG John Moffitt (knee) has been declared out for Week 6 against the Patriots.

Moffitt has been sidelined since Week 4, and remains week-to-week. Marshawn Lynch has had little trouble rolling up big numbers in his right guard's absence.

Seahawks declared RG John Moffitt (knee) inactive for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Panthers.

Marshawn Lynch hasn't missed Moffitt too much as he leads the league in rushing. Otherwise, the Seahawks are healthy as CB Marcus Trufant (back) is ready to go. Their inactives: WR Charly Martin, SS Winston Guy, CBs Danny Gorrer and Jeremy Lane, DTs Jaye Howard and Greg Scruggs.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt (knee) has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Panthers.

It will be Moffitt's third straight absence. It's a blow to the Seahawks' running game, but Marshawn Lynch has still been rolling up big numbers in Moffitt's absence. He remains week-to-week.

Seahawks declared RG John Moffitt, WR Charly Martin, S Winston Guy, CB Danny Gorrer, CB Bryon Maxwell, DT Jaye Howard and DT Greg Scruggs inactive for Week 4 against the Rams.

G/T James Carpenter (knee) is active, and will be making his 2012 debut. He'll start at left guard. Otherwise, it's a quiet week for the Seahawks, who enter the quarter pole as one of the league's healthier teams. Earlier reports that DT Alan Branch was inactive were inaccurate.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt (knee) and RT Breno Giacomini (pectoral) did not practice on Wednesday.

Both players were not known to have been injured in Monday night's win over the Packers. Rookie J.R. Sweezy filled in for Moffitt in Week 1 and was thoroughly dominated by Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett. Giacomini's back-up is veteran Frank Omiyale.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt will rejoin the starting lineup in Week 2 after missing most of training camp due to elbow surgery.

Rookie fill-in J.R. Sweezy got destroyed by Darnell Dockett in the opener and will take his rightful spot on the bench. Moffitt should be a big upgrade as a run blocker for Marshawn Lynch and pass protector in front of Russell Wilson.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt is out 2-3 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair "loose particles" in his elbow.

It's another blow to a Seahawks line that annually can't keep front-five starters off the shelf. Moffitt, a 2011 third-round pick out of Wisconsin, should still be ready for the start of the season. But continuity is a big deal in Seattle's zone-run scheme, and they're going to enter the year without it.

Seahawks RG John Moffitt (torn MCL, PCL) was "full-go" in Thursday's practice.

Moffitt worked with the first-team offense at right guard, so the knee appears to be no longer an issue. Frank Omiyale is working at left tackle, though starter Russell Okung (pectoral surgery) is close to being cleared for a full return.

The Seahawks expect RG John Moffitt (torn MCL, PCL) to be healthy by the start of training camp.

Moffitt had surgery on November 24, so he'll be a full eight months removed by the start of camp. "John Moffitt is working out hard now, so he should be in good shape," coach Pete Carroll said. "So we’re not too far off there." Moffitt is expected to be Seattle's starting right guard when the season opens.
