Chris Prosinski will start at free safety in Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Dwight Lowery (ankle) is out. Prosinski gets the nod ahead of Chris Harris, who was just signed off the street on Monday. In one start last season, Prosinski posted four tackles and one pass breakup.

Jaguars placed S Chris Prosinski (thumb) on injured reserve, ending his season.

A fourth-round pick out of Wyoming, Prosinski had just cracked the Jaguars' starting lineup, replacing Dwight Lowery (shoulder) at free safety in Week 14. Prosinski shouldn't have trouble making the roster in 2012.

Jaguars rookie S Chris Prosinski has been out two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Poor timing for the fourth-rounder, as he was expected to challenge hard-hitting Courtney Greene for the starting strong safety job. The Jags hope to have Prosinski back in practice by Sunday.

Jaguars signed No. 121 overall pick S Chris Prosinski to a four-year contract.

The Jaguars are said to be sky high on Prosinski's NFL prospects, but he's not a realistic candidate to play a major defensive role as a rookie. Though Prosinski is a thumper in run support, he's expected to struggle in coverage. He'll help out on special teams in year one.

Jaguars selected Wyoming S Chris Prosinski with the No. 121 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

A three-year starter, Prosinski racked up an impressive 140 tackles as a senior. However, that number was due largely to his ability as a run stopper, and he is not viewed as a legitimate ball-hawking safety at the NFL level. More than likely, he'll be limited to special teams duty for the Jaguars in 2011.
