KBOI Boise reports Broncos S Shiloh Keo was arrested for driving under the influence early Saturday morning in Ada County, Idaho.

Keo was booked into the Ada County Jail at 2:19 a.m. Saturday morning. Keo played his college ball at the University of Idaho and still makes his home there in the offseason. A fifth-round pick of the Texans in 2011, Keo spent 2014 out of the league before latching on with the Broncos in December.

Broncos signed S Shiloh Keo.

This is a fun one. Keo, 28 next week, tweeted at Broncos DC Wade Phillips last week when the team promoted S Josh Bush from the practice squad. "Keep me in mind if things don't pan out," Keo said. Phillips replied, and eight days later, Keo is reunited with Phillips after they were in Houston together.

Bengals signed S Shiloh Keo to a reserve/future contract.

Keo spent his first three seasons in Houston, starting 11 games in 2013. He battled a calf injury in 2014 training camp and was among the Texans' final cuts. Keo will try to carve out a role as a backup safety and special teamer.

Texans waived S Shiloh Keo.

S Josh Aubrey was promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding roster move. An 11-game starter in place of Ed Reed last season, Keo had yet to appear in a game as he battled a calf injury. Largely ineffective in 2013, Keo has made 42 career appearances. Three months shy of his 27th birthday, he'll search for reserve/special teams work.

ESPN Texans reporter Tania Ganguli believes S Shiloh Keo's roster spot is in danger.

Keo started 11 games at free safety for the Texans last season, registering 63 tackles and six pass breakups. He's appeared in 42 career games since being a 2011 fifth-round pick. The Texans upgraded their safety position in free agency, signing Chris Clemons and Kendrick Lewis to team with D.J. Swearinger.

The Texans will start Shiloh Keo at strong safety during Danieal Manning's absence.

Coach Gary Kubiak hinted the Texans weren't even considering rookie D.J. Swearinger for the role, mentioning both Keo and CB/S Brandon Harris before their second-round pick. Keo started the first two games in place of Ed Reed. He has 14 tackles on the season and will be a low-end DB3 in IDP leagues.

Texans FS Shiloh Keo will start on Monday night against San Diego.

With Ed Reed (hip) a game-time decision, the Texans will be forced to start Keo in their base 3-4 defense. Reed hasn't been ruled out for Week 1, but will be reduced to a limited role if active.

Texans promoted S Shiloh Keo from their practice squad.

A favorite of NFL Network draft guru Mike Mayock, Keo is a gung-ho special teams prospect. He will take injured S Dominique Barber's spot on the roster.

Fifth-round rookie Shiloh Keo is expected to be given a chance to start at strong safety for the Texans.

The coaching staff and front office are extremely high on Keo, and neither of the Texans' 2010 starting safeties are returning. At strong safety, Keo would compete with Dominique Barber, Torri Williams, and Troy Nolan, the latter of whom is the favorite for the job. If Keo doesn't win the position, he'll be heavily involved on all four special teams packages.

GM Rick Smith and coach Gary Kubiak singled out fifth-round SS Shiloh Keo as the one late-round pick for fans to keep an eye on this year.

Keo is a Wade Phillips favorite from the East-West Shrine Game. "He's physical," Smith said. "He's got range. He doesn't have top-end speed, but he's got enough to get over the top." Kubiak praised Keo's football IQ and hands. "If the ball is close, he's going to make the play and has the ability to take it back to the house," said Kubiak. Keo also averaged 14.2 yards on punt returns at Idaho. The Texans cut both starting safeties, leading us to believe Keo could end up starting as a rookie.

Texans selected Idaho S Shiloh Keo with the No. 144 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

A four-year starter and All-Conference as a Senior, Keo is an aggressive in-the-box safety with solid run-stopping skills and a willingness to sell out against the blitz. With below-average speed and coverage skills, he's destined for a special teams role in Houston.
