49ers C Daniel Kilgore (PUP, ankle) is no longer in a walking boot.

Kilgore was seen snapping to Colin Kaepernick before last week's game. Along with the trade of backup Nick Easton, Kilgore's activity suggests he will be ready to return as soon as eligible Week 7. Marcus Martin has struggled mightily in place of Kilgore the first four weeks.

49ers placed C Daniel Kilgore (leg, ankle) on the reserve/PUP list.

Kilgore remains in a walking boot. He broke his leg last season, and underwent ankle surgery in June. Marcus Martin should man center in Kilgore's absence. The earliest he can return is Week 7. Kilgore believes he'll be ready when first eligible.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore (leg, ankle) is questionable for Week 1.

Kilgore underwent ankle surgery at some point before training camp, after fracturing his leg last season. He’s reportedly ahead of schedule, but his availability won’t be known until at least the middle of training camp. Marcus Martin has been getting reps at center in Kilgore’s absence.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore's return timetable has been "pushed back" following a fractured left leg suffered last October.

Kilgore broke his left leg in Week 7 of last season. He's had ample time to recover, but recently needed surgery on his ankle. Coach Jim Tomsula indicated Kilgore isn't expected back until "after the middle of camp." This is yet another blow to a 49ers offensive line that will lack continuity in 2015.

49ers placed C Daniel Kilgore and CB Chris Cook on season-ending injured reserve.

S Ray Ventrone was re-signed in a corresponding move. Kilgore broke a bone in his left leg during the 49ers' loss to Denver Week 7. San Francisco will hope third-round rookie Marcus Martin (knee) is ready following the team's Week 8 bye. Cook suffered a hamstring injury against the Broncos Week 7.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore (leg) is out for the season.

Kilgore broke a bone in his left leg during Sunday night's loss at Denver. The first-year starter had been holding up well as he replaced Jonathan Goodwin, earning a top-12 grade from PFF. The 49ers will try to rush third-round rookie Marcus Martin (knee) into the starting lineup following the bye.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore suffered a broken leg in Sunday night's loss to the Broncos.

Kilgore had played every snap this season for the Niners, earning strong grades in run blocking. Now his season is in jeopardy. UDFA rookie Dillon Farrell replaced Kilgore in the lineup Sunday night, but the Niners will try to get third-round rookie Marcus Martin (knee) back after the bye.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore was carted off in Sunday night's Week 7 game against the Broncos with a left leg/ankle injury.

It's another blow to a 49ers offensive line that's already down RT Anthony Davis and LG Mike Iupati. Kilgore had been off to a strong start this season, grading out as a top-ten center by Pro Football Focus. UDFA Dillon Farrell has replaced him in the lineup. Third-round pick Marcus Martin (knee) could return after the 49ers' Week 8 bye.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore had the public intoxication charges against him dismissed last week.

Kilgore was booked in January after he was "staggering down a sidewalk" in his hometown in Tennessee. The 49ers didn't seem too concerned and inked him to a three-year contract extension in late February. Kilgore is fully expected to be given every opportunity to replace Jonathan Goodwin at center.

49ers signed G/C Daniel Kilgore to a three-year contract extension through 2017.

CSN Bay Area first reported the sides were close to an agreement. A 2011 fifth-rounder, Kilgore had been considered the most likely candidate to take over for free agent Jonathan Goodwin. This sets it in stone. Kilgore has appeared in all 16 games each of the past two seasons, but has just 170 career snaps to his name. He's mostly been used as an extra blocker on offense. The 49ers need a back-up plan, perhaps in the form of a draft pick.

The Sacramento Bee expects fourth-year OL Daniel Kilgore to succeed free agent Jonathan Goodwin as the 49ers' starting center in 2014.

Goodwin is a free agent. Center is a popular position for the 49ers in mock drafts, but beat writer Matt Barrows sounds confident San Francisco will use its premium picks elsewhere. Kilgore has been effective in spot duty the past two seasons, seeing (limited) playing time at all three interior line spots.

49ers OL Daniel Kilgore was arrested for public intoxication early last Sunday morning.

Kilgore and another male were "staggering on the sidewalk" in Kingsport, Tenn. at 2:18 AM Sunday morning and were subsequently arrested "for their safety and the welfare of the public." Kilgore was a fifth-round pick of the 49ers out of Appalachian State in 2011. He's a key reserve and will likely be in the competition for center duties if free agent Jonathan Goodwin isn't re-signed.

49ers reserve OL Daniel Kilgore left Monday night's game against the Cardinals with a concussion and will not return.

Kilgore was injured on the opening kickoff. San Francisco already listed Joe Looney as an inactive, so they are down to veteran Leonard Davis as the only offensive line back-up. Kilgore was a fifth-round pick in 2011.

Daniel Kilgore is expected to compete for the 49ers' starting right guard job this season.

The Niners allowed veteran Adam Snyder to bolt for the division-rival Cardinals, leaving a hole at right guard. They traded up in the fifth round to get Kilgore last April. It's an area of need for the Niners.
