49ers re-signed C Daniel Kilgore to a three-year contract.

This was one of the 49ers' top priorities after re-signing Jimmy Garoppolo. Kilgore held his own in his first year as a 16-game starter, grading out as a top-20 run blocking center at PFF. The 49ers value Kilgore's leadership and veteran presence in the middle of their line. Kilgore's new deal locks him up through his age-33 season.

The Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows reports the 49ers have discussed an extension with impending free agent C Daniel Kilgore.

The 49ers locked up Jimmy Garoppolo and DE Cassius Marsh last week, but they still have work to do before free agency opens with Kilgore apparently near the top of the list. The center held his own over 16 starts in 2017.

Updating a previous item, 49ers C Daniel Kilgore suffered a torn hamstring in the Week 14 loss to the Jets.

49ers placed C Daniel Kilgore on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

Kilgore started every game until injuring his knee in Sunday's loss to the Jets. It's not a huge loss for the 49ers, as Kilgore has been amongst the worst pivots in the league. One week shy of his 29th birthday, he probably won't be back as a starter next season.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore (PUP, ankle) is no longer in a walking boot.

49ers placed C Daniel Kilgore (leg, ankle) on the reserve/PUP list.

49ers C Daniel Kilgore's return timetable has been "pushed back" following a fractured left leg suffered last October.

Kilgore broke his left leg in Week 7 of last season. He's had ample time to recover, but recently needed surgery on his ankle. Coach Jim Tomsula indicated Kilgore isn't expected back until "after the middle of camp." This is yet another blow to a 49ers offensive line that will lack continuity in 2015.
