ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling expects RG Brandon Fusco to be a candidate for release or a pay cut this offseason.
Fusco signed a five-year, $25 million extension just ahead of the 2014 season and has three years left on his deal. But there's no guaranteed money left on the contract, and Fusco was a major part of the problem on the Vikings' league-worst offensive line. He made 14 starts this season, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 62 guard out of 77 qualifiers, getting annihilated in pass pro. Jan 17 - 8:43 PM

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco suffered a concussion Week 14 against the Jaguars.

Fusco went down in the fourth quarter. It is his second concussion of the season and yet another offensive line injury for the comically banged-up Vikings. Zac Kerin replaced Fusco following the injury.

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco exited the Week 5 win against the Texans with a concussion.

He left on the first series and never returned. Zac Kerin took over at right guard once Fusco left, giving the Vikings three reserves on the offensive line with T.J. Clemmings at left tackle and Jeremiah Sirles at right tackle. The bye is coming at a good time for Minnesota.

Vikings OL Brandon Fusco is moving back to right guard in 2016.

Free agent addition Alex Boone will man the left side, where Fusco struggled mightily in 2015. Fusco has been much more effective at right guard throughout his career. Going on 28, Fusco is signed through 2019.

Brandon Fusco said he is happy to move back to right guard after the Vikings signed Alex Boone in free agency.

"That’s where I’m most comfortable. I’m willing to go back to the right and get back to where I was playing," Fusco said. "I’ll do whatever they tell me to do, but hopefully right guard is the thing I’ll be doing, and I’m looking forward to it." Fusco struggled in his first year at left guard last season, but he has played well on the right side throughout his career. The Vikings have done a good job upgrading their offensive line this offseason, and they are likely to get even more help in the form of free agent RT Andre Smith. If Smith signs, the Vikings should line up with LT Matt Kalil, LG Boone, C John Sullivan, RG Fusco and RT Smith in 2016.

Vikings LG Brandon Fusco did not practice on Wednesday due to a concussion.

Fusco played every snap in the Vikings' Week 2 win over the Lions, so it is unclear when the concussion occurred. With C John Sullivan (back, I.R./recall) and RT Phil Loadholt (Achilles, injured reserve) out, the Vikings cannot afford to lose Fusco as well. Jeremiah Sirles played in Fusco's place on Wednesday.

Vikings LG Brandon Fusco (pectoral) is expected to be ready for training camp.

Fusco will be fully cleared for the start of camp after being limited throughout the offseason. The Vikings are moving Fusco to left guard this year, with T.J. Clemmings, Tyrus Thompson, and Joe Berger competing on the right side.

Brandon Fusco worked at left guard during Vikings' OTAs.

A right guard through the first four years of his career, Fusco could be shifted to the left side in order to give struggling LT Matt Kalil the steady partner he has missed the last two seasons. The shift would also allow rookie G/T T.J. Clemmings to stay on the right side. Primarily a run blocker, Fusco may not fit perfectly on the left side, but he is a good enough player to make it work. Fusco missed 13 games last season after suffering a torn pectoral Week 3.

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco has fully recovered from the torn pectoral that ended his 2014 season last September.

He's a full participant in the offseason program. One of the NFL's premier run-blocking guards when healthy, Fusco's return is good news for the entire Vikings offense. The Vikings have internally discussed moving Fusco to left guard if rookie T.J. Clemmings can nail down a starting job at right guard.

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco (pectoral) has resumed lifting weights for the last 3-4 weeks.

Fusco tore his pectoral in Week 3, leaving a big hole that Vlad Ducasse and Joe Berger were unable to fill. The Vikings are hoping to get their $25M man back for OTAs.

Vikings placed RG Brandon Fusco on injured reserve with a torn pectoral, ending his season.

Fusco's loss is a big one. The former sixth-round pick is a dominant run blocker and above-average in pass protection. He signed a five-year, $25 million extension earlier this month. Fusco was injured in Sunday's loss to the Saints. Former Jets whipping boy Vlad Ducasse filled in at right guard, but took two penalties on just 11 snaps. It's a hit to Matt Asiata's already weak fantasy stock.

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco was forced from Sunday's game against the Saints with a shoulder injury.

Fill-in Vlad Ducasse has struggled mightily in Fusco's absence. It's a concern for a Vikings' offensive line that's been getting pushed around.

Vikings signed RG Brandon Fusco to a five-year, $25 million contract extension.

The deal includes $6 million guaranteed. A 2011 sixth-round pick, Fusco has started the past two seasons for the Vikings. He was the No. 8 overall guard by Pro Football Focus last year, and graded out as a top-five run blocker. Fusco is now signed through 2019.

Vikings RG Brandon Fusco was forced from Sunday's game against the Ravens with a knee injury.

Fusco was ruled out at halftime. The No. 6 guard in Pro Football Focus' ratings, Fusco has started every game since the beginning of the 2012 season. A serious injury would be a major blow for the Vikings' running attack.

Coach Leslie Frazier suggested that Brandon Fusco has won the starting right guard job.

"There is nothing that anyone else has done that could unseat him," Frazier said. Fusco has essentially won the job by default. Veteran Geoff Schwartz missed the majority of camp due to sports hernia surgery, and DeMarcus Love has missed time with a pectoral injury. We expect the revamped O-Line to be much improved from last season.
