Eagles C Jason Kelce (MCL tear, partial ACL tear) is limited to individual drills at OTAs.
Coach Chip Kelly "isn't sure" when Kelce will be cleared for team drills, but he remains on pace to be ready for training camp. On paper, the athletic Kelce is a very strong fit for Kelly's high-octane offense. May 13 - 12:48 PM

Date:

Eagles C Jason Kelce (MCL tear, partial ACL tear) to be fully cleared in a month to a month and a half.

"Not all healed up yet," said Kelce, who is five months removed from surgery. "I’m probably about a month, month-and-a-half before I am cleared for football activity. I am full-go in the weight room, full-go in the training room. On the field is the last area where I still have to go full-go." Kelce appeared to be emerging as one of the NFL's best young centers before the injury.

Eagles C Jason Kelce (torn ACL) expects to be ready for training camp.

Kelce started running three weeks ago, and he'll soon begin doing plyometrics and cutting on his surgically-repaired right knee. "Right now, the target date with how I've been rehabbing is somewhere in the minicamps," said Kelce. "The first one I might be a little bit limited, but the second one, we'll go for it."

Eagles C Jason Kelce (torn ACL) has been cleared to resume running.

Kelce is on pace in his rehab after going down in Week 2, and should be ready for the beginning of camp. It's possible he'll spend some time on the active/PUP list, but it would be very surprising if he opened the regular season on reserve/PUP. A svelte (for a center) 6-foot-3, 282 pounds, the third-year pro should help anchor new coach Chip Kelly's fast-paced attack in 2013.

Eagles C Jason Kelce (injured reserve) underwent surgery Thursday, October 18 to repair his torn ACL and MCL.

Kelce was placed on injured reserve in mid-September after going down in Week 2. Because he tore both the MCL and ACL, doctors were forced to wait a month to perform the reconstruction so the swelling would subside. Kelce's loss has been a major factor in Philadelphia's offensive line woes. Their interior pass blocking has been pasted by defenses in the first six games.

Eagles placed C Jason Kelce (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.

A Tuesday scope revealed that Kelce will need his ACL repaired along with the MCL. He'll be out anywhere from 6-12 months. It's a major loss for the Eagles, as they'll now have to roll with inexperienced Dallas Reynolds and fringe talent Steve Vallos at the pivot spot. They were already playing without All-Pro left tackle Jason Peters, who tore his Achilles' tendon during the offseason.

Eagles C Jason Kelce will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to determine the full extent of his Week 2 knee injury.

The scope is being called "minor" for now as the Eagles assess the damage to Kelce's ACL and MCL. The MCL is definitely fully torn. The team is hopeful Kelce's ACL was only partially torn. If it's determined that Kelce has fully torn the ACL, he'll require reconstructive surgery and be done for the year.

Updating a previous item, Eagles C Jason Kelce sustained a partial ACL tear and full MCL tear in Sunday's win over the Ravens.

The Eagles have not ruled Kelce out for the season just yet. He plans to get a scope and see if his knee will be ready for action in 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, inexperienced Dallas Reynolds will be making the calls from the pivot spot.

Sources tell CSN Philly that Eagles C Jason Kelce (knee) is out for the season.

Kelce was blocking Terrence Cody during the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Ravens when Ed Reed ran into his right knee. If Kelce is indeed done, he'd join starting left tackle Jason Peters on injured reserve. Former practice squadder Dallas Reynolds will step in at center and represent a major downgrade. Sunday marked his first career NFL game.

Eagles C Jason Kelce is headed for an MRI on his right knee.

The Eagles sustained a fistful of injuries Sunday, but they appear most concerned about Kelce's. We can't rule out a torn ligament. Backup Dallas Reynolds would be a major downgrade.

Jason Kelce left Sunday's game against the Ravens with a knee sprain and will not return.

It's a major concern for the Eagles as Kelce has been a rock on the offensive line. Inexperienced Dallas Reynolds has come on.

Eagles C Jason Kelce (Lisfranc sprain) expects to be ready well before the team's first minicamp.

This is the first confirmation that the sprain was of the Lisfranc variety, though Kelce did escape surgery. The Eagles have high expectations for the 2011 sixth-rounder, whom coach Andy Reid calls a "phenomenal athlete" and a "smart kid." Kelce's biggest improvement will come in pass protection this season.

Eagles C Jason Kelce will avoid surgery after his Week 17 injury was diagnosed as a mid-foot sprain.

There had been some concern that the sprain was of the Lisfranc variety, but that turned out not to be the case. Although he graded out poorly in Pro Football Focus' ratings, the rookie starter received glowing late-season praise from Eagles OL coach Howard Mudd.

Eagles OL coach Howard Mudd believes sixth-round rookie Jason Kelce is already one of the finest centers in the NFL.

Kelce was shaky early in the season, but Mudd now compares his mechanics to other centers he's coached such as former All Pro Kevin Mawae. "I know that he hasn't played against anybody that's better, I'll promise you that," Mudd said. The Eagles' revamped O-Line has improved by leaps and bounds since the first month of the season.

Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg confirmed that sixth-round rookie Jason Kelce is his starting center.

With Howard Mudd now in town as line coach, the Eagles are transitioning to a smaller, quicker unit. Kelce joins first-round guard Danny Watkins to give the Eagles two rookies protecting Michael Vick. It's far from an ideal situation, especially with the right tackle spot also unsettled. Former starting center Jamaal Jackson will be forced to swallow his pride and play a reserve role.
