Rams waived/injured CB Mikail Baker.

Baker was extremely injury prone in his six-year career at Baylor, so it's no surprise that he's already headed for I.R. He was vying for a spot on special teams as a gunner or return candidate. CB Dionte Dinkins (ankle) was also waived/injured.

Seventh-round CB Mikail Baker is expected to be used primarily on special teams as a gunner and a return candidate.

In Baker's six-year career at Baylor, he played wide receiver and safety before moving to cornerback. He could end up competing with Danny Amendola and Mardy Gilyard for kickoff-return duties.

Rams selected Baylor DB Mikail Baker with the No. 216 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

Baker was a sixth-year senior last season after breaking his collarbone in 2007 and tearing his ACL, MCL, and LCL in 2009. He's not much of a defensive prospect, but Baker is an explosive athlete and among the most prolific kick returners in Baylor history.
