Mike Person has been lining up as the Falcons' starting left guard at OTAs.
Signed to a three-year, $3.35 million deal in the offseason, Person has never started zero of his 17 appearances since entering the league as a 2011 seventh-rounder. With Peter Konz and Sam Baker still recovering from injuries, Person will certainly face competition. He's no lock to even make the roster. May 22 - 8:28 AM

Rams claimed G/T Mike Person off waivers from the Seahawks.

A former seventh-round pick, Person's lone career appearance came in Week 1. The primary reason for his claim could be the intelligence he can provide on one of the Rams' division rivals.

Colts claimed G/C Mike Person off waivers from the 49ers.

Person was a seventh-round pick after being a consensus first-team All-American at D-IAA Montana. Person boasts solid size at 6-foot-5, 299 pounds, but has been forced to transition to the interior line due to short 32-inch arms. A left tackle in college, he'll provide depth at guard and can play center in a pinch.

49ers signed No. 239 overall pick G/C Mike Person to a four-year contract.

A consensus first-team FCS All-American, Person played left tackle at D-IAA Montana. He'll be kicked inside with the 49ers, and there's plenty of opportunity to move quickly with center David Baas now in New York.

49ers selected Montana G/C Mike Person with the No. 239 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

Person, who goes 6-foot-5, 299, was D-IAA powerhouse Montana's starting left tackle last season and didn't allow a single sack all year, earning consensus first-team FCS All-American honors. Somewhat unfortunately, his arms are just under 32 inches, meaning he'll have to play guard (probably left guard) to stick in the pros. He finished his career with 48 straight starts.
