Dontrelle Inman snared three of five targets for 51 yards in the Chargers' Week 11 loss to the Chiefs.
Inman had San Diego’s longest gain of the afternoon, a 27-yard catch-and-run in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately he also committed an unforgiveable drop late in the third quarter on a play where no one else was near him. It looked like he just took his eye off the ball. With Keenan Allen gone for the year and Malcom Floyd’s status in doubt, the opportunities will be there for Inman. He’ll face the Jaguars in Week 12. Nov 22 - 8:30 PM

Dontrelle Inman will be the Chargers No. 2 receiver this week.

With Keenan Allen (kidney) out for the season and Malcom Floyd (shoulder) likely to join him soon, Inman and Stevie Johnson will serve as the top two receivers for the foreseeable future. "We talk about it all the time," Inman said. "We’ve got to carry the load. We’re going to go out there and give it our all. Expect the best game out of both of us." Inman recorded back-to-back 79-yard games to close out last season, but he struggled when thrust into a bigger role before the bye this year. Against a Kansas City defense playing better as of late, Inman is nothing more than a WR3 in PPR leagues this week, but he could develop into a usable fantasy asset down the stretch.
Nov 21 - 11:46 AM

Dontrelle Inman caught 3-of-5 targets for 28 yards in the Chargers' Week 9 loss to the Bears on Monday night.

He also lost a fumble. Even with Keenan Allen (kidney) missing the entire game and Malcom Floyd (shoulder) going down after one quarter, Inman wasn't a major part of the offense as the No. 4 option. He'll be nothing more than a desperation WR5 play Week 11 against the Chiefs after the bye.
Nov 10 - 12:39 AM

Dontrelle Inman failed to catch either of his two targets in the Chargers' Week 5 loss to the Steelers.

Inman played in three-wide sets with Stevie Johnson (hamstring) out, but with Antonio Gates returning from suspension, the Chargers opted to use more two-tight end looks. Inman will need multiple injuries to play a major role.
Oct 13 - 1:06 AM

Dontrelle Inman secured 3-of-5 targets for 88 yards in the Chargers' Week 4 win over the Browns.

Taking over for Stevie Johnson (hamstring) and Malcom Floyd (concussion) across from Keenan Allen, Inman delivered a clutch 68-yard reception that gave San Diego an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter when Philip Rivers hit John Phillips for a goal-line TD pass. A crafty possession-type receiver, Inman could be the Chargers' No. 2 wideout in Week 5 against Pittsburgh.
Oct 4 - 7:33 PM

Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman was forced from Saturday's preseason game against the Cardinals with a concussion.

The roster-bubble wideout had two catches for 26 yards before going down. He now has four grabs for 41 yards through two preseason tilts. Inman is highly questionable for next week's all-important regular season dress rehearsal.
Aug 23 - 12:20 AM

ESPN Chargers reporter Eric Williams said WR Dontrelle Inman's roster chances are "looking good."

Following a solid two-game run to close out the season, Inman headed into the offseason in a good position to earn a significant role. The arrival of Stevie Johnson scuttled those plans, but Inman has the talent to stick on the roster at his meager $510,000 base salary.
Jun 28 - 5:58 PM

ESPN Chargers reporter Eric Williams confirms Dontrelle Inman is a good bet to stick on the 2015 roster.

Inman, a former CFL stud with plus size, really flashed over the last two games of the season (12-158-0). The Chargers have him at a meager $510,000 base salary for 2015, so he'll be back to compete for a role behind Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd. Eddie Royal is a free agent.
Jan 26 - 9:49 AM

Dontrelle Inman caught five passes for 79 yards in Week 17 against the Chiefs.

Inman was the No. 3 receiver with Keenan Allen sidelined. He had at least 70 yards over the final two games and will be a candidate for a bigger role next season. A former CFL star, Inman should return as one of San Diego's top four wideouts.

Dontrelle Inman caught 7-of-9 targets for 79 yards Week 16 against the 49ers.

Substituted in for an ineffective Seyi Ajirotutu at halftime, Inman made his presence known early and often in the second half. He seemed to get open at will against the 49ers' secondary, and showed strong hands on several contested catches across the middle including a 4th-down conversion on the game-tying drive. A former CFL star, the 25-year-old Inman is a good bet to carve out a role in 2015 in the Chargers' nondescript receiver corps. He is an excellent add in Dynasty formats.

Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman has had a "productive start" to training camp.

"He's done a nice job the past couple of days," said coach Mike McCoy. "He had a nice offseason also." The top of the Chargers' wide receiver depth chart is set, but Inman could carve out a role as a reserve receiver and special teams player. Inman posted a 50-739-6 line for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL last season.
