Dontrelle Inman (groin) is questionable for Week 2 against the Dolphins.
Inman is set to make his season debut on Sunday after putting in a full week of practice. In a crowded receiving corps featuring Keenan Allen, Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin, it's doubtful Inman will draw enough targets to warrant fantasy consideration. Sep 15 - 3:44 PM

Chargers declared Mike Williams, Dontrelle Inman, Jerry Attaochu, Cardale Jones, Dexter McCoil, Sam Tevi and Sean McGrath inactive for Week 1 against the Broncos.

Inman popped up on the injury report on Thursday and was limited in practice. The Chargers signed Geremy Davis from their practice squad, so they were prepared for Inman not to be out there.

Dontrelle Inman (groin) is questionable to play against the Broncos on Monday Night Football.

He was limited in practice on Thursday, so this isn't a major injury. Even with rookie Mike Williams (back) out for tonight, Inman is still behind Travis Benjamin for the third receiver spot, and they won't need him in the slot with Keenan Allen ready to roll. Even if healthy, there's a chance he won't be active.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Chargers have had trade discussions involving WR Dontrelle Inman.

They're not going to get much for him, but it is an indication they intend on Travis Benjamin playing a bigger 2017 role with Keenan Allen moving inside and outside and Tyrell Williams as the RAC/vertical threat on the perimeter. Inman is a trusty slot receiver who originally went undrafted out of Virginia and is signed only through 2017. He would fetch a late-round pick at best.
Aug 30 - 9:38 PM

Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman recently underwent core muscle surgery.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Inman will be out six weeks, a timeline which will keep him from participating during the rest of the offseason program but have him ready for training camp. Inman caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four touchdowns last season, but he projects as no better than No. 5 on the depth chart this year if everyone stays healthy.
May 20 - 9:02 AM

Chargers re-signed WR Dontrelle Inman to a one-year, $2.746 million contract.

It's his second-round restricted tender. Forced into an expanded role due to Keenan Allen's 2016 ACL tear, Inman responded with a career-best 58-810-4 (14.0 YPR) receiving line. While Inman's role is unlikely to be nearly as voluminous this season, he is a versatile wideout capable of playing all three receiver spots and should be assured of a top-four spot in the rotation.
Apr 25 - 8:09 PM

Chargers tendered restricted free agent Dontrelle Inman at the second-round level.

Inman nabbed 58 catches for 810 yards and four touchdowns last season while leading all Chargers receivers with 958 snaps. His role should be scaled back this year with Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin expected to be at full health.
Mar 9 - 1:19 PM

Dontrelle Inman caught 4-of-5 targets for 51 yards Week 17 against the Chiefs.

Inman briefly left to be evaluated for a concussion, but he returned to finish out the game. Inman slowed down a bit over the final three weeks, but he still easily posted career-highs in targets (97), catches (58), yards (810), and touchdowns (4). Inman should be retained with an RFA tender this offseason, but he could return to a much smaller role with Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin returning healthy and Tyrell Williams emerging as a great No. 2 option. Despite the breakout season, Inman will likely open 2017 in the same low-volume role he occupied early this season.
Jan 1 - 9:48 PM

Dontrelle Inman caught 3-of-10 targets for 44 yards in the Chargers' Week 16 loss to the Browns.

There were several missed connections between Philip Rivers and Inman on Sunday, a surprise for a duo that has been very efficient to this point. The Chargers will need more from Inman in Week 17 against Kansas City, which has been vulnerable to slot receivers for most of the year.

Dontrelle Inman caught 5-of-7 targets for 68 yards in the Chargers' Week 15 loss to the Raiders.

Inman's touchdown streak ended at three games, but he led the Chargers in catches and receiving yards and has emerged as San Diego's most reliable possession receiver. Inman primarily runs slot routes, where Week 16 opponent Cleveland has struggled all season. With a secure role, Inman will continue to be a good bet for five-plus-catch games for the rest of the season.
Sun, Dec 18, 2016 08:10:00 PM

Dontrelle Inman caught 6-of-7 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' Week 14 loss to the Panthers.

Inman was one of the only Bolts to show up in this one. The slot threat now has at least 40 yards in each of his past seven games, and made himself a weekly top-40 option. He'll be a legit WR3 against the Raiders' porous defense in Week 15.

Dontrelle Inman caught 2-of-5 targets for 49 yards and touchdown in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to the Bucs.

Now playing ahead of Travis Benjamin, Inman starred early in this game with both of his catches coming in the first quarter, including a 35-yard touchdown where Bucs CB Alterraun Verner fell down on the play. Inman has moved past Travis Benjamin on the depth chart and is now San Diego's No. 2 wideout behind Tyrell Williams. Inman will be a fringe WR3/4 in Week 14 at Carolina.

Dontrelle Inman was cleared of a concussion after leaving late in the fourth quarter Week 12 against the Texans.

Inman was not placed in the protocol. It is a break for the Chargers, who also saw Tyrell Williams leave late with a shoulder injury. If Williams' injury turns out to be serious, Inman could end up serving as the No. 1 receiver over Travis Benjamin after exploding for 119 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. He should be a hot name on the wire this week.

Dontrelle Inman exited Week 12 against the Texans late in the fourth quarter with a possible concussion.

Inman had a great game before exiting, hauling in all six of his targets for 119 yards and a touchdown. He broke open what had been a limited passing game with a great double-move to shed Quintin Demps on a 52-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Inman stayed involved after the break, catching a perfectly thrown ball by Philip Rivers in the third quarter and converting a big third down in the fourth. With Tyrell Williams also leaving the game late with an arm injury, the Chargers could be in trouble at receiver next week against the Bucs.
Sun, Nov 27, 2016 04:08:00 PM

Dontrelle Inman caught 5-of-9 targets for 43 yards Week 10 against the Dolphins.

Inman had a solid if not spectacular day. He came up with several big grabs late in the game to keep drives alive, and he drew three penalties. Two of those converted third downs, and the other set San Diego up with first-and-goal at the one. Inman's fantasy value will depend on Travis Benjamin's (knee) health coming out of the bye. Even in a tough matchup, he will have WR3 appeal if Benjamin sits.
