Police say Titans WR O.J. Murdock has died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday morning in Tampa Bay.
Murdock had been absent from Titans camp for "personal reasons." Police reportedly discovered him at 8:30 a.m. in his car in front of his old high school, after he attempted suicide. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and later died. Titans rookie WR O.J. Murdock "popped" his Achilles' tendon in training camp practice Sunday.

All signs point to an Achilles' tear, which would threaten his career. Murdock was signed as a UDFA last week after playing his college ball at Fort Hays State, where he's the small school's single-season receiving yards record holder.
