Signed from the practice squad in later November when both Kyle Rudolph and Visanthe Shiancoe were banged up, Reisner had been inactive each of the past three weeks. He tallied one catch in six total games this season.

Vikings promoted TE Allen Reisner from the practice squad.

It's the surest sign yet Kyle Rudolph (quad) won't be active against the Falcons. Reisner appeared in two games earlier this season, failing to make a catch. He could see a few snaps Sunday, but isn't likely to be targeted with Visanthe Shiancoe on track to play.

Reisner was just promoted off the practice squad ahead of Week 2. The undrafted free agent out of Iowa is likely headed back there as long as he clears waivers.

Vikings promoted TE Allen Reisner from the practice squad.

Reisner was one of the Vikes' final cuts last week. His signing could be an indication that Visanthe Shiancoe's hamstring injury has acted up. If Reisner is active on Sunday, he won't show up on the stat-sheet.

Undrafted out of Iowa, Reisner opened a few eyes with his reliable hands in training camp. If he clears waivers, the Vikings could try to develop him as an H-back type on the practice squad.
