Andre Holmes caught three passes for 73 yards in the Raiders' Week 16 win over the Bills.
He was targeted six times. Holmes' big grab was a 51-yard leaping catch on a 3rd-and-22. He jumped over the top of Corey Graham to haul in the pass. Earlier in the game, Holmes was targeted in the end zone. He got both hands on the ball but couldn't complete the catch. A big-play threat with little consistency, Holmes will wrap up the season against the Broncos in Week 17. Dec 21 - 8:10 PM

Date:

Andre Holmes caught 5-of-12 targets for 70 yards Week 15 against the Chiefs.

33 of Holmes' 70 yards came on the meaningless final drive of the game. Derek Carr is not playing well enough for Holmes to be a fantasy option right now. He is still a high-upside hold in Dynasty.
Dec 14 - 4:40 PM

Andre Holmes (shoulder) remained limited on Thursday.

Holmes should be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, but he's fallen from fantasy consideration. That's especially true against the Chiefs' stout pass defense.
Dec 11 - 6:07 PM

Andre Holmes secured 2-of-5 targets for 38 yards in the Raiders' Week 14 win over the 49ers.

Holmes had a touchdown catch pulled from his grasp by a 49ers defensive back early in the fourth quarter. Mychal Rivera scored on the very next play. Holmes has regressed since a fast early-season hot run. He's a fantasy WR4 entering a Week 15 date with the Chiefs' top-ranked pass defense.
Dec 7 - 7:54 PM

Andre Holmes secured 3-of-6 targets for 28 yards in the Raiders' Week 13 loss to the Rams.

The vertical element has disappeared from Oakland's offense, rendering Holmes a fantasy WR4. He needs garbage-time targets to pay fantasy dividends in a given week. Holmes won't be worth starting in Week 14 against San Francisco.
Nov 30 - 5:14 PM

Andre Holmes caught 5-of-10 targets for 55 yards in Oakland's Week 10 win over the Chiefs.

The five catches were Holmes' most since Week 8. Altogether, it wasn't that great of a night for the fourth-year pro, who had a few miscommunications with Derek Carr. His biggest catch could have easily been a Chiefs interception, but DB Ron Parker mistimed his jump. Holmes will remain a crapshoot WR4/5 for Week 13 against the Rams.
Nov 21 - 12:20 AM

Andre Holmes secured 2-of-6 targets for 19 yards in the Raiders' Week 11 loss to the Chargers.

Holmes' target totals the past four weeks are 7, 5, 1, and 6. With Oakland's offense now seemingly incapable of powering throws downfield, Holmes has disappeared from the fantasy WR3 radar. The Raiders will play their next game on Thursday night against Kansas City. Avoid Holmes in re-draft leagues.
Nov 16 - 8:35 PM

Andre Holmes played on 40-of-63 snaps (63.4 percent) in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

It's roughly the same percentage Holmes has been at for the last month, quelling some concerns that he had been passed up by Vincent Brown (24 snaps). James Jones led the way with 43 snaps, intriguing Brice Butler saw 34 and Denarius Moore got 23. So we can partially chalk Holmes' airball up to a brutal matchup against Chris Harris/Aqib Talib and partially blame it on a pass game that is suddenly spreading the wealth wide. The Week 11 matchup against the Chargers is good, but Holmes will carry risk as a WR3. Tight end Mychal Rivera seems to be Derek Carr's favorite garbage-time target right now.
Nov 10 - 8:12 AM

Andre Holmes was held catch-less in Week 10 against the Broncos, seeing one target.

We watched the game, but didn't chart it, and didn't see much of Holmes. Increasingly inefficient, it's possible Holmes' role has been reduced on OC Greg Olson's offense. He did have a tough matchup against Chris Harris and Aqib Talib, and shouldn't have been started in fantasy leagues in the first place. But now it's fair to wonder if Holmes will even be a WR3 option against the Chargers in Week 11.
Nov 9 - 8:13 PM

Andre Holmes secured 2-of-5 targets for 28 yards in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Seahawks.

The Raiders predictably got nothing from any of their wide receivers in a matchup with Seattle's defense. They get another tough one against stingy Broncos outside CBs Aqib Talib and Chris Harris next week. Despite his big-play ability, Holmes has settled in as a bit of a boom-or-bust fantasy WR3 option.
Nov 2 - 7:49 PM

Andre Holmes secured 5-of-7 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 8 loss to Cleveland.

Holmes continued to run routes on the perimeter, with Kenbrell Thompkins mixing in for season-high usage. Holmes had a solid gain down the sideline negated when he was flagged for offensive pass interference, and save for Mychal Rivera (7-83) no member of Oakland's pass-catching corps had a big box score against the Browns. Holmes saved the fantasy owners who started him with a ten-yard touchdown in fourth-quarter garbage time. He'll be a WR4 when the Raiders take on the Seahawks in Week 9.
Oct 26 - 7:50 PM

Andre Holmes secured 3-of-5 targets for 34 yards in the Raiders' Week 7 loss to the Cardinals.

Holmes had an ugly early-game drop on a pass that would've gone for about 15 yards in Patrick Peterson's coverage. He did draw a 13-yard pass interference flag on Peterson in the third quarter. Holmes' first reception went for 18 yards down the left sideline just in front of Cardinals RCB Antonio Cromartie. He caught his second ball on a wide receiver screen, gaining three. There will be better days ahead for Holmes, but the Raiders are quarterbacked by a rookie and will have pass-game ups and downs. Holmes will be a WR3 in Week 8 against the Browns.
Oct 19 - 8:10 PM

Andre Holmes led all Raiders receivers in snaps played in Week 6, handling 48 downs.

James Jones was second on the team with 47 snaps, while Brice Butler (23) and Denarius Moore (22) essentially shared third receiver duties. If Holmes isn't Oakland's No. 1 receiver by now, he definitely is Derek Carr's go-to vertical passing game option. He leads Oakland in targets (20) over the last two games.
Oct 13 - 3:57 PM

Raiders WR Andre Holmes caught 4-of-8 targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 6 loss to San Diego.

Holmes made highlight reels by securing a first-drive pass from Derek Carr for a 77-yard score. After dropping a short pass, Holmes peeled off a 30-yard gain in the second quarter to set up James Jones' TD catch. Holmes converted his second score from six yards out in the fourth quarter. It speaks volumes about Oakland's ineptitude that they refused to play Holmes until injuries and benchings forced them to. He's easily the best receiver on the team. Holmes will continue to be an intriguing WR3 play in Week 7 against the Cardinals.
Oct 12 - 7:57 PM

Andre Holmes caught 5-of-12 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in Oakland's Week 4 loss to the Dolphins.

A fine day for Holmes' fantasy owners, but his score and most of his yards came deep into garbage time. One of his missed targets was a perfectly catchable ball he let clang off his hands for an interception. It wasn't exactly a game that offered major hope for a blow up after the Raiders' Week 5 bye. It's unclear who will be chucking Holmes passes in Week 6, as Derek Carr (ankle, knee) is sidelined. Neither Matt McGloin nor Matt Schaub are enticing options. Holmes is a boom-or-bust WR4.
