Lions signed LB Nick Bellore, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year contract.

Bellore started 10 games for the lowly Niners last season, but in Detroit he'll surely be asked to play more of a special teams role as a backup.

49ers placed ILB Nick Bellore on injured reserve with an elbow injury, ending his season.

A sub-par talent, Bellore was forced into far too many snaps for the 49ers' historically-bad run defense, playing nearly every down. Headed back to free agency, he's unlikely to be brought back as the 49ers begin to pick up the pieces on defense.

49ers ILB Nick Bellore was forced from San Francisco's Week 12 game against the Dolphins with a knee injury, and will not return.

Bellore has been an every-down player for the 49ers' abysmal defense.

49ers signed ILB Nick Bellore, formerly of the Jets.

The Niners continue to grasp for straws at inside linebacker. Bellore, 26 in May, appeared in all 16 games with the Jets last season, registering 15 tackles. Ideally, he would only be a special teamer in San Francisco.

Jets re-signed LB Nick Bellore to a one-year, $1.431 million contract.

It's just a formality after the Jets extended an original pick tender to Bellore as a restricted free agent. He'll return as the team's top core special teamer.

Jets extended the original pick tender to restricted free agent LB Nick Bellore.

Bellore led the Jets in special teams tackles in 2013. The original pick tender is the lowest possible and would pay Bellore $1.431 million this season.
