Texans released OT Will Yeatman.
Yeatman, 27, has missed most of the last two seasons to injuries. The Texans don't have any proven options behind Duane Brown and Derek Newton, so it's not a good sign for his future. Yeatman shouldn't draw interest as more than training camp depth. Fri, Jul 31, 2015 07:30:00 PM

Texans signed OT Will Yeatman.

Yeatman, 26, wasn't tendered an offer by the Dolphins as a restricted free agent. He tore his ACL in November but should be nearing 100 percent. Yeatman is a tight end-turned-tackle and is a better fit for zone-blocking teams. He has the athleticism to thrive as a pass blocker and get out in space in the run game.

Free agent OT Will Yeatman visited the Texans and Vikings this week.

Yeatman wasn't tendered by the Dolphins as a restricted free agent in March. He played just 18 snaps before tearing his ACL last November. Shortly after coach Joe Philbin was hired by the Dolphins, he pointed to Yeatman as a potential starting left tackle. As a former tight end, Yeatman has plus athleticism.

The Dolphins did not tender offers to restricted free agents OT Will Yeatman and CB R.J. Stanford, making them free agents.

Yeatman played a total of 18 offensive snaps last season before tearing his ACL in November. Coach Joe Philbin had previously been "excited" about Yeatman as a potential starter. They could bring him back at the minimum.

Dolphins placed OT Will Yeatman on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

Yeatman emerged as the Dolphins' swing tackle prior to going down with the injury. A restricted free agent, he'll enter the offseason with major concerns about his health. OL Sam Brenner was promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Dolphins OT Will Yeatman is done for the season with a torn ACL.

Yeatman suffered the injury in Monday night's loss to Tampa Bay. A converted tight end, Yeatman had emerged recently as the Dolphins' swing tackle.

Coach Joe Philbin is "excited" about third-year OT Will Yeatman.

"We have a chance to really kind of sink our teeth in with him," Philbin said. "I think he might have some position flexibility. I think he’s athletic enough. He might be able to go to the right side. He might be able to go to the left side. He can move." A converted tight end, Yeatman stands a realistic shot at a roster spot because the Fins' zone scheme plays to his strengths.

The Palm Beach Post mentions Dolphins OT Will Yeatman as a player who could be a starter in 2013 should impending free agent LT Jake Long leave.

Yeatman, 25 in April, is a converted tight end with solid athleticism. Coach Joe Philbin was at the University of Iowa when they transformed tight ends Robert Gallery and Eric Steinbach into quality linemen. Yeatman has bulked up to 305 pounds and is working out in San Diego with offensive line guru Hudson Houck.

The Dolphins have moved TE Will Yeatman to offensive tackle.

The 24-year-old is a worthy prospect. Yeatman was already a viable blocking tight end, and at 6-foot-6 with athleticism could make for a nice long-term project in the Dolphins' zone-blocking scheme. He won't have to be 300 pounds.

Dolphins claimed TE Will Yeatman off waivers from the Patriots.

Coach Bill Belichick can't be happy about losing both Yeatman and Lee Smith on waivers. A former college lacrosse star, Yeatman is a work in progress with excellent size and athleticism. He's more of a blocking specialist at this stage, so Anthony Fasano's snaps won't be threatened.

Patriots waived TE Will Yeatman.

An undrafted free agent, it was thought Yeatman's roster spot was secure after New England released fellow rookie TE Lee Smith earlier in the day. Instead, the Pats will likely try to stash the bruising blocker on the practice squad.

Undrafted free agent TE Will Yeatman could beat out fifth-round pick TE Lee Smith to make the Patriots roster.

The two are competing to replace Alge Crumpler, who was essentially a glorified offensive lineman for the Pats last season. Yeatman played 20 snaps with the Patriots' first-team offense last evening, and "seemed to respond well" in the words of ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss.
