Ravens signed WR Tori Gurley, OT David Mims, LB Spencer Adkins, DT Swanson Miller, and TE Steve Watson to reserve/future contracts.

Gurley will enter his third season out of South Carolina in 2013, but he has yet to crack a 53-man roster in the NFL after proving to be a workout warrior. He's been with the Packers, Vikings, Raiders, Bucs, and Chargers since August. Mims stands at 6-foot-8, 335 pounds and spent the 2012 season on the Kansas City practice squad. All five will fight for roster spots this summer.

Updating an earlier item, the Raiders signed WR Tori Gurley to the practice squad, not active roster.

A second year undrafted free agent out of South Carolina, Gurley has proven to be a workout warrior, but has yet to crack anybody's 53-man roster. Considering the state of Oakland's receiver corps, however, he'll likely be promoted at some point this season.

Raiders signed WR Tori Gurley.

It's a sign that the Raiders don't expect Darrius Heyward-Bey (concussion) back anytime soon. Gurley, a former standout on the Packers' practice squad, knows Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie from their time together in Green Bay. He'll start off buried on the depth chart behind Derek Hagan and Rod Streater.

Packers waived WR Tori Gurley.

Teams in need of wideout help should have their ears perked up. Gurley was a darling of the practice squad last season and the offseason program this year. The 6'4/232 South Carolina product was simply buried in the Packers' deep receiving corps.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Packers WR Tori Gurley is "making plays in the red zone" in camp.

"I'm trying to do it all," Gurley said. "But especially in the red zone. ... That's what it's all about — catching it in the end zone and sending the field-goal team out there." A towering 6-foot-4, Gurley has bulked up from 216 to 232 pounds. He's battling Diondre Borel and Shaky Smithson for the Packers' sixth and final receiver spot.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has joined the Green Bay Press-Gazette in predicting the Packers will keep six receivers on their 53-man roster.

The Journal-Sentinel was previously on the record as expecting the Pack to keep only five wideouts, as they've done every season since 2007. Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Donald Driver and Randall Cobb are locks, leaving Tori Gurley, Diondre Borel and Shaky Smithson to battle for the final spot. Borel is considered the favorite for the job. It's possible Jones will be dealt during camp.

The Packers are expected to keep only five wide receivers on their 2012 roster.

It's going to be tough for practice squad stars Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel to make it, without an injury in the top five. Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Randall Cobb, and Donald Driver are all virtual locks. Look for Gurley and Borel to generate interest if they're among Green Bay's final cuts.

Packers signed WR Tori Gurley to a reserve/future contract.

The Packers upped Gurley's practice squad salary after the Vikings tried prying him away in November, suggesting GM Ted Thompson is high on his long-term potential. Though unproductive at South Carolina, Gurley has an intriguing blend of size (6'4/225) and athleticism. He'll battle to be Green Bay's fourth or fifth receiver in 2012 training camp.

Packers practice squad WR Tori Gurley turned down an offer this week to join the Vikings' 53-man roster.

Gurley confirmed that he received a raise from the Packers, but wanted to stay in Green Bay regardless because he didn't want his season to be over in three weeks. An undrafted rookie, Gurley posted 70 receptions for 824 yards in his career at South Carolina.
