Shaun Draughn rushed 10 times for 19 yards in Sunday's Week 5 blowout of the Jets.
Draughn was forced into action after starter Donald Brown suffered a concussion. He played a firm second fiddle to wildly impressive UDFA Branden Oliver, who rolled to 114 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Draughn may get some change-of-pace work next week if Brown can't get cleared, but he'd be a desperation add only. Oct 5 - 7:40 PM

Chargers signed RB Shaun Draughn, ILB Kevin Reddick and OLB Cordarro Law.

Law was promoted from the practice squad. Waived by the Bears last week, Draughn will slide in as the Chargers' No. 3 running back as they wait for Ryan Mathews (knee) to get healthy. Despite the Chargers' unsettled running back situation, Draughn is well off the radar in 12-14 team leagues.
Sep 23 - 6:03 PM

Chargers worked out free agent RBs RB Shaun Draughn and D.J. Adams.

The Bolts need a back after sending Danny Woodhead (ankle) to injured reserve. The player they probably wanted to sign, Marion Grice, was plucked off their practice squad by the Cardinals on Monday. The Chargers took Grice with the 201st pick of May's draft.
Sep 23 - 5:36 PM

Bears waived RB Shaun Draughn.

It's a bit surprising, as Draughn outplayed rookie Ka'Deem Carey in training camp, while undrafted free agent Senorise Perry is the only other running back on the Bears' roster. Carey was already Matt Forte's handcuff, but it's now set in stone. Going on 27, Draughn has averaged 3.7 yards on his 63 career carries.
Sep 16 - 4:02 PM

Shaun Draughn is expected to open the season as the Bears' No. 2 running back.

Rookie Ka'Deem Carey has not been impressive and Michael Ford has been released. Through three preseason games, Draughn has eight carries for 39 yards and three catches for 29 yards. He's a weak handcuff for Matt Forte.
Aug 25 - 11:24 AM

Bears RB Shaun Draughn rushed four times for four yards in Friday night's third preseason game at Seattle.

Draughn operated as Chicago's No. 2 back in each of the first two exhibition weeks, but the Bears gave rookie Ka'Deem Carey the backup nod in this one. It's abundantly obvious Chicago wants Carey to grab the reigns there, and Draughn did nothing to help himself against the Seahawks' backup defenders. On the preseason, Draughn has eight carries for 39 yards, and three catches for 22 yards.
Aug 23 - 1:03 AM

ESPN Bears reporter Michael C. Wright says Shaun Draughn "appears to have solidified the No. 2 spot."

In an important note for Matt Forte handcuffers, Draughn has beaten out unimpressive rookie Ka'Deem Carey. However, it's unlikely Draughn would be a true feature back if Forte went down. He's averaged 3.73 YPC in his career and been waived by both the Chiefs and Ravens in the last two seasons.
Aug 18 - 12:49 PM

Running as the Bears' clear No. 2 back, Shaun Draughn rushed three times for 33 yards in Thursday's preseason game, adding two catches for 12 yards.

Draughn replaced Matt Forte on the Bears' third series, and finished out the first half. Draughn looked slippery and quick, but has never been impressive in the regular season. Nevertheless, he's clearly ahead of Ka'Deem Carey and Michael Ford right now. It's possible he'll open the season as Forte's No. 2.
Aug 14 - 10:14 PM

Shaun Draughn was the No. 2 back through the Bears' rotation in Friday night's preseason opener.

He finished with one carry for two yards and a ten-yard catch. A 26-year-old journeyman, Draughn ran ahead of rookie Ka'Deem Carey and sophomore UDFA Michael Ford. Carey did nothing to make headway, so it's conceivable Draughn will maintain the No. 2 tailback job entering Week 2 of preseason. Draughn can play on special teams, and pass protection is one of his strengths.
Aug 8 - 9:29 PM

Bears signed RB Shaun Draughn.

Draughn carried the ball four times for two yards in three games with the Ravens last season before being released and spending four days on the Colts' roster. He can also return kicks and will compete for a roster spot.
Apr 23 - 2:13 PM

Colts waived RB Shaun Draughn.

Draughn was on the roster for four days. With Donald Brown (stinger) ready to rock Sunday against the Chiefs, Draughn was no longer needed. He heads back to the street where he's been for much of the season.

Colts signed RB Shaun Draughn.

Draughn has been out of football since being released by the Ravens in Week 6 and is strictly a depth signing. With Donald Brown (stinger) up in the air for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, he'll provide insurance behind Trent Richardson.

Ravens released RB/KR Shaun Draughn.

Draughn lost kick return duties to Deonte Thompson and didn't get a touch from scrimmage in each of the last two weeks.

Ravens RB Shaun Draughn (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Bills.

Draughn being active despite not being 100 percent looks like an insurance move. The Ravens will have a chance to rest Ray Rice (hip) if the game turns into a blowout.

Ravens RB Shaun Draughn sustained a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Texans.

Draughn, who was operating as Bernard Pierce's backup, went down in the fourth quarter and did not return. "I don't know the severity of it, but it is termed right now as a high ankle," coach John Harbaugh said. The Ravens are going to have to sign a free agent running back with Ray Rice (hip) and Draughn both sidelined.
