Giants waived WR Marcus Harris and S Justin Currie.

Harris caught nine passes for 93 yards last preseason before injuring his shoulder and missing the entire season. In addition to the sprained AC joint in his shoulder, Harris also required hip and knee surgeries over the past year. The fourth-year UDFA out of Murray State missed much of the offseason program.

Giants WR Marcus Harris is recovering from recent arthroscopic knee surgery.

Harris missed much of the offseason program after undergoing shoulder and hip surgeries that caused him to miss all of last season. Now with a scope added to his record, Harris faces an uphill battle to earn a roster spot. One of Harris' biggest supporters, beat writer Jordan Raanan has Harris' "stock falling."

Giants.com’s Michael Eisen doesn’t expect WR Marcus Harris to make an impact this season.

Harris was in the mix for a starting job last preseason before landing on I.R. He’s competing with Corey Washington for No. 4 receiver duties, but needs to prove his health coming off a lost season. Harris could see time in the slot if Victor Cruz (knee) isn’t ready for Week 1.

A Giants assistant coach told NJ.com's Jordan Raanan that Marcus Harris was the team's "best receiver" in 2014 training camp and preseason.

Keep in mind Odell Beckham was out with a hamstring injury at this time, but Raanan has been beating Harris' drum for awhile. The Giants were reportedly considering starting Harris before he suffered a year-ending shoulder injury late last August. Undrafted out of Murray State in 2011, Harris stands 6-foot-1, 189 with an underwhelming 33-inch vertical. He does have solid agility scores, which suggests Harris could excel in the slot.

NJ.com's Jordan Raanan was told "to keep an eye out for" Giants WR Marcus Harris in 2015.

The Giants were considering Harris for a starting role before a shoulder injury ended his season prior to Week 1. That was also before Odell Beckham Jr. blew up and became one of the NFL's best receivers. If Victor Cruz (torn patellar tendon) returns to his old form, New York is going to have a very deep receiving corps.

Giants placed WR Marcus Harris on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.

Joining Harris there is S Cooper Taylor. Harris sprained his AC joint last weekend and was only expected to miss 3-4 weeks. He'll spend his rookie season "redshirting" on I.R., or he could be released with an injury settlement at some point. Harris caught nine passes for 93 yards this preseason.

Giants WR Marcus Harris (shoulder) is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

Harris has a sprained AC joint. He was in the mix for the No. 5 receiver job prior to going down. The Giants would need to cut Preston Parker, Julian Talley, and KR Trindon Holliday to keep a roster spot for Harris, who was having a strong camp. Harris had nine catches for 93 yards in four preseason games.

ESPN Giants reporter Dan Graziano expects WR Marcus Harris to make the final roster.

Harris has routinely made big plays in camp, and played well in the Hall of Fame game, hauling in four passes for 49 yards. Though his roster chances look good, Harris would need several injuries to become fantasy relevant.
