Rams CB Tim Atchison suffered a grade-2 hamstring injury in Monday night's game.

Coach Steve Spagnuolo confirmed that Atchison could be out awhile with the injury. Undrafted out of Baylor, Atchison will be placed on injured reserve, so the Rams can add depth at the position.

Rams signed CB Tim Atchison from the practice squad.

Atchison is an undrafted rookie out of Baylor, where he was a two-year starter. He had just two interceptions in college. Atchison figures to play mostly special teams, but he's the No. 4 corner in an injury-riddled secondary right now.

James Butler should be holding his breath, but for now the Rams appear set to enter the season with five safeties: Darian Stewart, Quintin Mikell, Craig Dahl, rookie Jermale Hines, and Butler. Atchison was an undrafted rookie.
