Vikings signed K Kai Forbath.
A career 84.1 percent field goal kicker, Forbath provides an immediate upgrade on Blair Walsh. With the Vikings' offense in the gutter of late, Forbath won't be on the streaming radar very often. Nov 15 - 2:30 PM

Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports the Vikings are expected to sign K Kai Forbath.

He impressed during a workout with the Vikings last week and is now expected to replace Blair Walsh, who was released on Tuesday. Forbath was among the Saints' final cuts this summer after losing out to UDFA Will Lutz. He made 9-of-13 field goals last season with a long of 57 yards.
Nov 15 - 12:16 PM

Saints released K Kai Forbath.

The Saints are going with UDFA Wil Lutz. Forbath beat Connor Barth in a summer competition, but evidently didn't convince the coaching staff he deserved to keep his job. Lutz is coming from small-school Georgia State, so it's definitely a gamble for a team that can never seem to settle on a kicker.
Sep 6 - 4:43 PM

Kai Forbath has won the Saints' kicker battle.

Re-signed in March, Forbath beat out veteran Connor Barth. Forbath converted 9-of-13 attempts in 10 appearances for the Saints last season. Even in a good offense, he does not need to be drafted.
Sep 3 - 3:20 PM

Saints re-signed Kai Forbath.

Forbath was cut by Washington in September but resurfaced with New Orleans a month later after the team waived erratic rookie Zach Hocker. He made just 10-of-15 field goal attempts with a long of 57 yards. Forbath will compete with former Jaguar Josh Scobee for kicking duties next year.
Mar 9 - 5:23 PM

Saints signed K Kai Forbath.

Forbath will replace Zach Hocker, who was waived on Monday. Forbath opened the season as the Redskins' kicker, but he was released partly because of his inability to force touchbacks on kickoffs. Washington faced a return on 62.5 percent of Forbath's kickoffs last season. Forbath is an accurate kicker, however, and has converted 87 percent of his kicks over 41 career appearances. He will be worth streaming consideration when the Saints are at home.

Redskins released K Kai Forbath.

The leash could not have been much shorter for Forbath, who is released after missing a 46-yard kick Week 1 against the Dolphins. Forbath made 87 percent of his kicks for the Redskins over the last four seasons including an 88.9 percent mark last year. He will find a new home soon.

Redskins re-signed restricted free agent K Kai Forbath to a one-year, $1.54 million contract.

The Redskins only gave Forbath a right of first refusal offer, and wouldn't have received compensation if he signed elsewhere. One of the more accurate kickers in the league last year, Forbath converted on 24 of his 27 field goal attempts (88.9 percent). Forbath is entering his fourth season in Washington.

Kai Forbath has retained the Redskins' placekicker job.

The Skins blew a draft pick on Zach Hocker, who was cut Saturday morning. In a suspect Washington offense, Forbath isn't worth a fantasy draft pick.

The Redskins want Kai Forbath to improve on kickoffs.

Forbath averaged just 60.0 yards per kickoff last season and managed a pitiful 14 touchbacks. Forbath also battled a groin injury in 2013, but made his final 14 field goals. Washington drafted Zach Hocker in the seventh round of May's draft. He has a booming leg but will have to show well on field goals to beat Forbath.

Redskins K Kai Forbath went 13-of-13 on field goals across the final eight games of last season.

Forbath battled a groin injury early in the season and struggled upon his return, missing three attempts between Weeks 5 and 8. But he got healthy and righted the ship, setting himself up to be the Redskins' kicker again this season. Forbath will have streamer appeal in the right matchups as we're expecting Washington to be in plenty of shootouts.

Redskins declared K Kai Forbath (groin) inactive for Week 3 versus Detroit.

Forbath misses his second straight game. John Potter will handle the duties.

Redskins declared K Kai Forbath (groin) inactive for Week 2 against the Packers.

The recently signed John Potter will handle kicking duties. You can do better for a fantasy fill-in. Also inactive for the Redskins are QB Rex Grossman, RB Evan Royster, S Jordan Pugh, S Jose Gumbs, OG Josh LeRibeus and NT Chris Neild. Royster has the looks of a weekly inactive this season. S Brandon Meriweather (groin) is ready to roll after missing Week 1.

Redskins K Kai Forbath is questionable for Week 2 with a sore groin.

The Redskins are currently working out kickers. We're usually averse to kicker blurbs, but they can affect fantasy. Feel free to drop Forbath from rosters.

Redskins agreed to terms with K Kai Forbath.

The 2009 Gorza Award winner from UCLA won out over veterans Josh Brown and Olindo Mare, who also tried out for the Redskins. The Redskins are expected to release Billy Cundiff, leaving Forbath to handle kicking chores versus the Vikings in Week 6.
