Kai Forbath has retained the Redskins' placekicker job.

The Skins blew a draft pick on Zach Hocker, who was cut Saturday morning. In a suspect Washington offense, Forbath isn't worth a fantasy draft pick.

The Redskins want Kai Forbath to improve on kickoffs.

Forbath averaged just 60.0 yards per kickoff last season and managed a pitiful 14 touchbacks. Forbath also battled a groin injury in 2013, but made his final 14 field goals. Washington drafted Zach Hocker in the seventh round of May's draft. He has a booming leg but will have to show well on field goals to beat Forbath.

Redskins K Kai Forbath went 13-of-13 on field goals across the final eight games of last season.

Forbath battled a groin injury early in the season and struggled upon his return, missing three attempts between Weeks 5 and 8. But he got healthy and righted the ship, setting himself up to be the Redskins' kicker again this season. Forbath will have streamer appeal in the right matchups as we're expecting Washington to be in plenty of shootouts.

Redskins declared K Kai Forbath (groin) inactive for Week 2 against the Packers.

The recently signed John Potter will handle kicking duties. You can do better for a fantasy fill-in. Also inactive for the Redskins are QB Rex Grossman, RB Evan Royster, S Jordan Pugh, S Jose Gumbs, OG Josh LeRibeus and NT Chris Neild. Royster has the looks of a weekly inactive this season. S Brandon Meriweather (groin) is ready to roll after missing Week 1.

Redskins K Kai Forbath is questionable for Week 2 with a sore groin.

The Redskins are currently working out kickers. We're usually averse to kicker blurbs, but they can affect fantasy. Feel free to drop Forbath from rosters.

The 2009 Gorza Award winner from UCLA won out over veterans Josh Brown and Olindo Mare, who also tried out for the Redskins. The Redskins are expected to release Billy Cundiff, leaving Forbath to handle kicking chores versus the Vikings in Week 6.

Cowboys waived K Kai Forbath.

Followed by the release of David Buehler, the moves leave Dallas with only Dan Bailey on the roster at placekicker. Undrafted out of UCLA, Forbath spent all of last season on the non-football injury list with a torn quadriceps muscle.

Cowboys K Kai Forbath (NFI, quad) has been cleared to resume practicing.

Forbath has been on the NFI list since early August. Dan Bailey has broken the franchise record with 19 consecutive field goal conversions, so there will be no room for Forbath on the 53-man roster.

Cowboys signed K Kai Forbath.

Incumbent David Buehler is now joined on the roster by the 2009 Groza Award winner (Forbath) as well as the 2010 Groza Award winner (Dan Bailey). Considered more of a roster stash, Forbath will start out on the non-football injury list due to a quad strain in his kicking leg.
