At the NFL Owners Meetings in March, coach John Harbaugh and owner Steve Bisciotti both brought up 2012 sixth-round pick Tommy Streeter when quizzed about how the Ravens will replace Anquan Boldin.
Streeter ran a 4.40 flat official forty time at 6-foot-5, 219 two Februaries ago before redshirting his rookie NFL season. "(The coaching staff) liked Tommy Streeter's development by the end of the year," Bisciotti said. "They thought that he finally started to get what it was like to be a pro." Streeter is a height-weight-speed prospect to keep tabs on during training camp. Apr 17 - 7:51 PM

Ravens placed WR Tommy Streeter on injured reserve with sprained ligaments in his left ankle and foot, ending his season.

Streeter's foot sprain proved to be more serious than originally anticipated. He is not a candidate for the league's new IR exception. The 6'5/220 sixth-round rookie will essentially take a redshirt year.

Ravens rookie WR Tommy Streeter has been diagnosed with a sprained foot.

The Ravens have yet to determine a return timetable, but he's certainly in jeopardy of missing Week 1. Streeter drew praise during the offseason program, but has had a quiet camp, catching just four passes for 52 yards and a score through three preseason games. He may open the year as a game-day inactive.

Coach John Harbaugh indicated that sixth-round WR Tommy Streeter and undrafted WR Deonte Thompson "have made big strides" in offseason practices.

Streeter has impressed with his height and leaping ability in red-zone drills while Thompson continues to use his 4.3 speed to blaze by corners on go routes. A drop machine at Florida while posting just 21 catches and 264 yards last season, Thompson projects as a special teams "gunner" if he makes the team.

The Ravens may use No. 198 pick WR Tommy Streeter in red-zone packages as a rookie.

Streeter is an imposing 6-foot-5, 219 with 4.40 speed, but admits he's extremely raw as a route runner after starting for just one year at Miami. "I wasn’t asked to run all the double-moves and different routes due to the offense I was in," Streeter said. With Anquan Boldin, Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta all still in the fold, we doubt Streeter will see frequent red-zone targets as a rookie.

Ravens agreed to terms with No. 198 overall pick WR Tommy Streeter on a four-year contract.

Taking over the No. 1 receiver role from Leonard Hankerson, Streeter was too big and fast for college defensive backs as a junior. Although his inexperience, inconsistent hands, and raw route running scared teams off early in the draft, Streeter is an interesting flier as a future deep threat.

Ravens selected Miami (FL) WR Tommy Streeter with the No. 198 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

Streeter moved into the starting lineup as a junior in 2011, posting a 46/811/8 line for the Hurricanes. Boasting impressive size (6'5/219), athleticism, and body control, Streeter also blew up the Combine, clocking as fast as 4.34. Although Streeter needs work on his route running and will have trouble getting off the line against press coverage, he's an ideal developmental project for the Ravens.

Miami (FL) WR Tommy Streeter ran an official forty-yard dash of 4.40 at the Scouting Combine, and was "unofficially" clocked as fast as 4.34.

At 6-foot-5, 219, he's a freak of nature. Streeter will particularly appeal to NFL teams that upgrade prospects for workout numbers. (And there are plenty of them, even in the post-Al Davis era.) In terms of production, Streeter was less impressive in college. His only big year came as a junior (2011), when Streeter caught 46 balls for 811 yards. He's a project.

Miami (FL) WR Tommy Streeter will forgo his senior season and enter the 2012 NFL draft.

He'll be joined by DT Marcus Forston, whose junior season was limited to three games by year-ending knee surgery. Streeter is listed at 6'5/215 and ran a 4.4-flat forty time as a freshman. He led the 'Canes in receptions (46), receiving yards (811), and touchdown catches (8), replacing Leonard Hankerson as Miami's No. 1 wideout during a breakout junior year. Streeter could emerge as a second-day prospect by corroborating his athleticism in pre-draft workouts.
