Chris Givens said he signed with the Eagles in part because he wanted to reunite with Sam Bradford.
Givens had the best season of his career as a rookie with Bradford, catching 42 passes for 698 yards and three scores in 2012. Givens was never able to regain his form after injuries ended Bradford's time with the Rams, and he was terribly inefficient (36 percent catch rate) in 12 games with the Ravens last year. On the bright side, Givens reportedly showed well both underneath and as a deep threat during the offseason program. With just Josh Huff and Rueben Randle to beat for the No. 3 job, Givens could find himself in a regular role this season. Jun 27 - 9:21 AM

CSN Philly's Dave Zangaro says WR Chris Givens has "really shown something" at Eagles' OTAs.

Givens seemed like an afterthought when the Eagles signed him in March for only $100,000 guaranteed. He's been a bright spot at OTAs, impressing as a deep threat while also showing surprising polish underneath. Givens has seen plenty of first-team reps and could challenge Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor and Rueben Randle for snaps this year. The 26-year-old tallied 20 catches for 353 yards and one touchdown with Baltimore and St. Louis in 2015.

Eagles signed WR Chris Givens, formerly of the Ravens, to a one-year contract.

Givens reunites with Sam Bradford, who he had the most success with in St. Louis from 2012-2013, posting a 60-993-3 line across 22 games. Givens' career arc has been in steady decline ever since. In Philadelphia, he'll compete with Josh Huff for snaps behind Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor.

Free agent WR Chris Givens is visiting the Eagles on Wednesday.

Givens just wrapped up a visit with the Jets on Tuesday. The 26-year-old is a one-trick pony as a deep threat, but he's at least shown signs of doing it somewhat well. Givens caught 60 passes for 993 yards (16.55 YPR) and three touchdowns from Sam Bradford with the Rams in 2012-2013.

Free agent WR Chris Givens visited the Jets on Tuesday.

Givens would be a streak route specialist for a team waiting on 2015 second-rounder Devin Smith (torn ACL) to return to full health.

The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec doesn't expect the Ravens to re-sign free agent Chris Givens.

Givens posted a 19-346-1 line across 12 games with the Ravens after coming over in a trade with the Rams. He saw his snaps increase after Steve Smith Sr. tore his Achilles', but the extra work didn't lead to many plays for Givens, who struggles with anything outside of a "go" route. Givens hasn't made much noise since a decent 42-698-3 rookie season back in 2012.
Feb 10 - 10:01 AM

Chris Givens failed to catch any of his four targets in the Ravens' Week 17 loss to the Bengals.

He was super inefficient after being acquired from the Rams ahead of the trade deadline back in October. In 12 games with the Ravens, Givens caught 19 balls for 346 yards and one score as a deep threat. He caught just one seven-yard pass for St. Louis in September. Givens has deep speed that teams like, but he's a one-trick pony for the most part. He'll be a free agent in March and just turned 26 last month. Givens won't command any guaranteed money.
Jan 4 - 12:15 AM

Ravens WR Chris Givens caught 1-of-5 targets for 17 yards in Baltimore's Week 15 loss to Kansas City.

Givens was an inefficient receiver in St. Louis, and that inefficiency has followed him to Baltimore. He has 18 catches on 46 targets this season.

Chris Givens caught 3-of-8 targets for 68 yards in the Ravens' Week 13 loss against the Miami.

Givens got most of his yards on two 20-plus yard catches on the final drive of the first half. He was the No. 3 option behind Kamar Aiken and Buck Allen. Despite the solid game, Givens remains just a deep threat.

Chris Givens caught 1-of-3 targets for 48 yards in the Ravens' Week 12 win over the Browns on Monday night.

Matt Schaub hit Givens perfectly in stride deep down the middle of the field to set up Buck Allen's 13-yard catch-and-run touchdown two plays later. It was all the noise Givens made, and his three targets were sixth-most on the team. Givens isn't a serious fantasy option behind default No. 1 WR Kamar Aiken.

Chris Givens caught 2-of-7 targets for 25 yards in the Ravens' Week 11 win over the Rams.

Givens got up for this one against his former Rams' teammates but made a very minimal impact. He seemed more concerned with trash talking his ex-mates. Givens isn't anything more than a low-impact WR5/6.

Chris Givens caught 4-of-7 targets for 37 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens' Week 10 loss to the Jaguars.

Givens filled the No. 2 receiver role behind Kamar Aiken in the absence of Steve Smith Sr. (Achilles'). Aiken saw the first nine receiver targets, but Joe Flacco made sure to get Givens involved. He caught a 14-yard touchdown over the middle late in the fourth quarter, giving Baltimore the lead. Givens will be a low-floor, high-upside WR5 with Flacco the remainder of the season.

Chris Givens is listed as a starting wide receiver on the Ravens' unofficial depth chart.

Though the depth chart is not gospel, Givens getting the nod over Marlon Brown and Jeremy Ross is a good sign. Givens' role in the offense has grown in recent weeks, and coach John Harbaugh said Givens and Joe Flacco's chemistry is improving. The Ravens are desperate for a deep threat, and Givens has the skill set to fill that role. He is a name to monitor in all leagues.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Chris Givens is building chemistry with Joe Flacco.

"He’s starting to feel it a little bit," Harbaugh said. "He and Joe are starting to develop something, an understanding for one another." With Steve Smith (Achilles, IR) out, the Ravens are desperate for offensive playmakers. Givens has flashed field-stretching skills in his career, and he could fill the deep-ball void the injury to rookie Breshad Perriman (knee) created in the offense. He is a name to watch in deeper leagues.

Chris Givens secured 3-of-4 targets for 57 yards in the Ravens' Week 8 win over the Chargers.

Givens got more involved this week, most notably dusting Chargers LCB Brandon Flowers for a 39-yard bomb in the first half. As Steve Smith Sr. is now out for the season, Givens' role will continue to expand. We'll be interested to see whether Breshad Perriman (PCL surgery) will be able to give it a go following the Ravens' Week 9 bye. If not, Givens could line up as the starter opposite Kamar Aiken.
