Chris Givens caught 2-of-7 targets for 25 yards in the Ravens' Week 11 win over the Rams.
Givens got up for this one against his former Rams' teammates but made a very minimal impact. He seemed more concerned with trash talking his ex-mates. Givens isn't anything more than a low-impact WR5/6. Nov 22 - 5:27 PM

Chris Givens caught 4-of-7 targets for 37 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens' Week 10 loss to the Jaguars.

Givens filled the No. 2 receiver role behind Kamar Aiken in the absence of Steve Smith Sr. (Achilles'). Aiken saw the first nine receiver targets, but Joe Flacco made sure to get Givens involved. He caught a 14-yard touchdown over the middle late in the fourth quarter, giving Baltimore the lead. Givens will be a low-floor, high-upside WR5 with Flacco the remainder of the season.
Nov 15 - 7:10 PM

Chris Givens is listed as a starting wide receiver on the Ravens' unofficial depth chart.

Though the depth chart is not gospel, Givens getting the nod over Marlon Brown and Jeremy Ross is a good sign. Givens' role in the offense has grown in recent weeks, and coach John Harbaugh said Givens and Joe Flacco's chemistry is improving. The Ravens are desperate for a deep threat, and Givens has the skill set to fill that role. He is a name to monitor in all leagues.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Chris Givens is building chemistry with Joe Flacco.

"He’s starting to feel it a little bit," Harbaugh said. "He and Joe are starting to develop something, an understanding for one another." With Steve Smith (Achilles, IR) out, the Ravens are desperate for offensive playmakers. Givens has flashed field-stretching skills in his career, and he could fill the deep-ball void the injury to rookie Breshad Perriman (knee) created in the offense. He is a name to watch in deeper leagues.
Nov 7 - 12:30 PM

Chris Givens secured 3-of-4 targets for 57 yards in the Ravens' Week 8 win over the Chargers.

Givens got more involved this week, most notably dusting Chargers LCB Brandon Flowers for a 39-yard bomb in the first half. As Steve Smith Sr. is now out for the season, Givens' role will continue to expand. We'll be interested to see whether Breshad Perriman (PCL surgery) will be able to give it a go following the Ravens' Week 9 bye. If not, Givens could line up as the starter opposite Kamar Aiken.
Nov 1 - 5:00 PM

Chris Givens caught 1-of-2 targets for 31 yards in the Ravens' Week 7 loss to the Cardinals on Monday night.

His other target should have been a 34-yard touchdown, but Joe Flacco under-threw the ball and missed Givens, who had beaten CB Tyrann Mathieu pretty badly down the seam. The under-throw allowed Mathieu to catch up and knock the ball away at the last second. Much like he was in St. Louis, Givens is serving as a deep-ball specialist for Baltimore.
Oct 27 - 12:39 AM

Chris Givens (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Givens is expected to play, but won't be more than a situational deep threat. He had two targets behind Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown in his debut last week. Givens isn't a Week 6 fantasy option.
Oct 17 - 2:36 PM

Chris Givens saw two targets in his Week 5 Ravens debut, but caught neither.

Givens worked into the game behind Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown, and was out-produced by Jeremy Ross (2-24), who was also acquired recently. Givens has great vertical speed and may break a big play or two as the season moves along, but for now he has no relevance in fantasy leagues of any size.
Oct 11 - 6:05 PM

New Ravens WR Chris Givens believes his style of play complements Joe Flacco well.

"I’ve watched Joe for years," Givens said. "He has a strong arm, and I feel like our talents match up and we can complement each other pretty well." Givens has the speed to be a dangerous deep threat and has averaged 16.3 yards on 88 career receptions. With Breshad Perriman (knee) out indefinitely, Givens has the opportunity to seize a role in the Ravens' offense.
Oct 8 - 9:58 AM

Ravens acquired WR Chris Givens from the Rams in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

Givens has just two touches so far this season, but he was a semi-effective deep threat for St. Louis in 2012 and 2013. Still only 25, the Ravens will hope he can find that form again. Acquiring Givens suggests Baltimore plans to be without rookie Breshad Perriman (knee) for the foreseeable future. With Michael Campanaro (back) on injured reserve and Steve Smith dealing with a back injury, Givens could play a role quickly.
Oct 3 - 9:52 AM

Chris Givens caught 2-of-2 targets for 63 yards and a touchdown.

The deep threat added a six-yard rush. Givens' 44-yard touchdown came on a perfectly executed play fake on an end around from Nick Foles. Givens showed tremendous speed in getting behind the entire defense. Givens made waves as a rookie in 2012, but his production has steadily declined since. Still only 25, however, he's now up to 7/179/2 this preseason. Perhaps he'll put himself back in the WR5 conversation.
Aug 29 - 11:43 PM

Chris Givens caught 2-of-2 targets for 18 yards in the Rams' Week 17 loss to the Seahawks.

He hauled in just 11 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown on the season. Givens has fallen a long way since his strong rookie season in 2012. He was merely the No. 4/5 receiver on a Rams team starving for offense. Givens’ Dynasty stock is in the toilet. He’ll have to compete for a roster spot next summer.

Chris Givens caught one pass for a 47-yard touchdown in Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Giants.

Givens has barely played all season and hadn't had a catch since early November, which could be why the Giants left him wide open on a blown coverage in garbage time. Givens now has 9-141-1 on the season.
Sun, Dec 21, 2014 08:12:00 PM

Rams declared WR Chris Givens, QB Case Keenum, CB Trumaine Johnson, CB Brandon McGee, RB Chase Reynolds, OL Barrett Jones, and DT Alex Carrington inactive for Week 6 against the 49ers.

Givens has tumbled all the way to the bottom of the depth chart as a healthy scratch. He's behind Austin Pettis, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey as the backups to Brian Quick and Kenny Britt. Givens is a one-trick pony as a deep-ball threat who doesn't cover kicks. He's no longer needed with Quick and Bailey taking leaps. Third-round rookie RB Tre Mason is also active for the first time.

Chris Givens caught 2-of-3 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game.

The grabs were his first of the preseason. Givens shed a tackle on a simple crossing route and was off to the races for a 75-yard touchdown. Givens is no higher than No. 4 on the depth chart, but should continue to serve as a deep-ball specialist for the Rams this season.
