Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer called third-year WR Brian Quick the "most improved player I've seen" at OTAs.
"He’s competing for playing time," Schottenheimer said. "He’s made the most of his opportunities." Quick is becoming a bit of a summer superstar in shorts and t-shirts. It didn't translate to the field last season, and we're not taking the bait this year until he proves it in September. With Kenny Britt, a similar player to Quick, now in the fold, Quick's snaps may be even harder to come by in 2014. Quick has mostly been a red-zone-only option since being the No. 33 overall pick in 2012. Jun 18 - 2:11 PM

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch expects Brian Quick's playing time to suffer most if the Kenny Britt signing works out.

In two seasons since getting selected 33rd overall, Quick has totaled just 29 catches for 458 yards and four touchdowns. And like Britt, he's a big-bodied outside wideout that profiles as an "X" receiver. If Britt's knee is right and his head is on straight, Quick may not even get the 361 snaps he saw in 2013.

GM Les Snead said he doesn't think the Rams need another receiver.

Tavon Austin led all Rams receivers with just 40 grabs in 2013, and Chris Givens (34 catches) / Austin Pettis (38) project as complementary receivers down the line. That leaves the 6'4/220 Brian Quick as the only real candidate to develop into a go-to wideout on the outside. We haven't seen any real signs of that yet, but Snead appears confident in his corps. "I think our receivers right now, I truly believe as they progress ... we cannot have another receiver around here," he said. "And we're going to be a good football team." The Rams hold the Nos. 2 and 13 overall picks in the draft.

Brian Quick was held without a catch on one target in the Rams' Week 17 loss to the Seahawks.

The 33rd pick in the 2012 draft, Quick is the most talented of St. Louis' receivers but the light has yet to flip on for the mild-mannered Appalachian Stat alum. Quick ends his second NFL season with 18 receptions for 302 yards and two touchdowns. The Rams have publicly compared Quick to Vincent Jackson, who similarly began his career slowly. We like Quick's Dynasty upside, but he's clearly not yet been ready for prime time. He'll be a late-round flier in 2014 re-draft leagues.

Brian Quick caught three passes for 41 yards and one touchdown in Week 13 against the 49ers.

Quick saw four targets on the day, with him mostly getting his action in garbage time. That's when the touchdown came. Quick reeled in a three-yard touchdown on a fade pass with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Quick remains intriguing in dynasty formats, but he's not on the re-draft radar.

Brian Quick caught two passes for 19 yards in St. Louis' Week 12 win over the Bears.

Quick's grabs were his only two targets of the afternoon. Still incapable of anything more than bit duty in the Rams' newly run-based offense, Quick has yet to catch more than two passes in a game this season, and has only 13 grabs on the year. Patience is likely wearing thin in the Rams' front office.

Brian Quick caught two balls for 30 yards in the Rams' Week 9 loss to the Titans.

Quick outproduced Austin Pettis (1-13), behind whom he's played all season. Quick remains an intriguing long-term talent, but he's the Rams' No. 4 receiver behind Pettis, Chris Givens, and Tavon Austin in a Kellen Clemens-quarterbacked offense. Quick is only worth owning in Dynasty leagues.

Brian Quick caught two passes for 97 yards in St. Louis' Week 7 loss to the Panthers.

Quick's 73-yard catch in the third quarter was the Rams' longest play of the season. He undid the good will fairly quickly, committing two ugly drops — one a surefire 29-yard touchdown — and getting flagged for a personal foul. The lightbulb doesn't appear likely to come on for the No. 33 overall pick of the 2012 draft any time soon.

Brian Quick caught a four-yard touchdown in Week 6 against Houston.

Quick was targeted twice on the day. The other pass hit him in the back as he and Sam Bradford weren't on the same page. Quick is still far too inconsistent, but he's starting to see increased playing time. Coach Jeff Fisher told the FOX announcing crew that Quick has been coming on in the past few weeks. He's not worth watching closely in re-draft leagues, yet.
Sun, Oct 13, 2013 05:55:00 PM

Brian Quick caught two passes for 45 yards in Sunday's Week 5 win over the Jags.

Quick saw just two targets as he continues to run as the No. 4 receiver. He has a total of six catches through the first five games of the season.
Sun, Oct 6, 2013 04:39:00 PM

Brian Quick had one catch for 12 yards in Thursday night's loss to the 49ers.

He was targeted just three times in the passing game. Quick saw the majority of his snaps as an outside receiver in three-wide sets. He remains off the fantasy radar in re-draft leagues.
Fri, Sep 27, 2013 01:53:00 AM

Brian Quick caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss to Dallas.

Quick was targeted four times on the day. He saw two end-zone throws come his way, and then dropped a quick slant. Quick isn't going to leapfrog Austin Pettis by dropping passes. He remains off the re-draft radar.
Sun, Sep 22, 2013 06:38:00 PM

Brian Quick reeled in his lone target for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Falcons.

Quick may have only played the one snap. He took a receiver screen up field, shedding one tackle in the process. Quick remains behind Austin Pettis for snaps opposite Chris Givens. He's not worth a spot in re-draft leagues.
Sun, Sep 15, 2013 07:23:00 PM

Brian Quick caught one pass for 16 yards in St. Louis' Week 1 win over the Cardinals.

Quick racked up some major yards after the catch on his grab, but was targeted only twice, and remained a bit player. With Tavon Austin and Jared Cook joining Chris Givens as big-play threats for Sam Bradford, Quick is going to have a hard time establishing value in re-draft leagues.
Sun, Sep 8, 2013 08:38:00 PM

The Rams are expected to use second-year WR Brian Quick in "select situations," like red-zone packages.

Quick has some Marques Colston to his game and goes 6-foot-4, 220. Although he was unable to unseat Austin Pettis for a starting job in training camp, ESPN Rams beat writer Nick Wagoner believes Quick "has a chance to break through to the starting lineup at some point opposite (Chris) Givens." Quick is still squarely on the fantasy radar and worth rostering in deep leagues.
