Brian Quick (shoulder surgery) is running routes "against air" at Rams OTAs.
The good news is he's doing anything at all. Coming off a severe shoulder operation, Quick will be in a race to be ready for training camp, though he is considered likely to be ready for Week 1. Quick is the favorite to serve as St. Louis' No. 1 receiver this season, ahead of Kenny Britt. Jun 4 - 10:48 PM

ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner believes Brian Quick (shoulder surgery) has a "realistic" chance to be ready by Week 1.

The Rams haven't committed to a timetable for Quick's return, but there haven't been any known setbacks. Coach Jeff Fisher said before last month's draft that Quick is "progressing quickly," though he hasn't participated in post-draft practices. Quick saw nine targets in three of St. Louis' first four games last season, before quarterback woes and his significant shoulder injury curtailed what might have been a true breakout year.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday that Brian Quick (shoulder surgery) is "progressing quickly," and left open the possibility of Quick participating in some OTAs.

He would do so "with protection" on the shoulder, per beat reporter Jim Thomas. Quick's surgery was major, repairing three torn ligaments and his rotator cuff. We've considered it questionable that Quick will be ready for training camp, but he does sound on track. GM Les Snead said he recently saw Quick dunk a basketball, though Quick did so with his non-surgically-repaired arm.

ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner expects Brian Quick (shoulder surgery) to miss the team's entire offseason program, and considers him questionable for training camp.

Per Wagoner, the team "privately hopes" Quick will be ready for camp. As previously reported, coach Jeff Fisher hedged on the question Wednesday. "It was a very, very difficult early rehab process," Fisher said. "It was an extensive, extensive injury. He's starting to see the light now." It sounds like the team's ultimate goal for Quick is Week 1, meaning he could begin camp on the active/PUP list, and miss some preseason action.

Speaking Wednesday, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Brian Quick (shoulder surgery) is "starting to see the light," but hedged when asked if he'd be ready for camp.

Quick's injury was severe, as he suffered both a dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff. It requires a methodical rehab. Barring setbacks, he should be ready for Week 1, but it's possible he'll be limited in preseason action. Neither Quick — who is in a contract year — nor the Rams need to take any chances with his recovery.

Brian Quick is still "at a relatively early stage" in his rehab from shoulder surgery.

"I’m doing range of motion right now, just trying to get that strength back," Quick said. "I’m using a little weight right now, a three-pound weight." Quick went down in Week 8, tearing his rotator cuff and three other ligaments inside his shoulder. He's facing a long recovery and is expected to miss OTAs before hopefully being back for training camp. Quick has one year left on his contract.

Brian Quick recently underwent surgery to repair his dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff, but coach Jeff Fisher revealed the injury was worse than originally thought.

In other words, there was more damage than the team believed, though Quick is still expected to make a full recovery sometime next year. Shoulders can be troublesome, nagging, and tough to fully get over. Quick will likely be sidelined until next summer, with him entering the final year of his rookie deal.

Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Brian Quick (shoulder) needs season-ending surgery.

Quick dislocated his shoulder and tore his rotator cuff in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. After a red-hot start to the season, Quick had slowed down in recent weeks, but had showed he's a legitimate No. 1 receiver for an offensively-challenged Rams team. Look for Stedman Bailey to step in as the starter opposite Kenny Britt over the final nine weeks. Quick has one year left on his rookie deal.

A source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that WR Brian Quick (shoulder) is likely done for the season.

Quick suffered a dislocated left shoulder and torn rotator cuff in Sunday's Week 8 loss at Kansas City. It suddenly halts the momentum Quick had built up during his third NFL season, as he had finally established himself as a rising No. 1 wideout for the receiver-starved Rams. Although he played in just seven games, Quick set career-highs in catches (25), yards (375) and touchdowns (3). Now Austin Davis will have to deal with Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey as his top-two wide receivers. Quick will be back in 2015 for the final year of his rookie deal.

Brian Quick (undisclosed) left the stadium Sunday with his left arm in a sling.

Quick went down in the second quarter of the loss at Kansas City and did not return. We can only speculate that it's some kind of shoulder or collarbone issue. After the game, coach Jeff Fisher declined to get into specifics but allowed that some of his injury players would "miss some time." Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey project as the Rams receivers against the 49ers in Week 9 if Quick can't go.

Brian Quick was carted off the field in the second quarter of the Rams' Week 8 game against the Chiefs with an arm injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the day.

Quick caught a 10-yard pass on the first play of the Rams' third possession. After getting tackled, he landed on his left shoulder/arm. Trainers were called out, and Quick was escorted to a cart where he couldn't move his arm. It might be a collarbone issue. Stedman Bailey is in opposite Kenny Britt. Quick finishes the day with just the one catch on two targets. He has just four catches for 53 yards the past three weeks.

Brian Quick caught two passes for 33 yards in the Rams' Week 7 win over the Seahawks.

He caught the only two targets that came his direction. The Rams leaned on their running game and special teams creativity to pull off the upset. Quick has had a down past two games, but has a plus matchup in K.C. next week.

Brian Quick caught just one pass for 10 yards in the Rams' Week 6 loss to the 49ers.

He was targeted just four times on the night. It's unclear if the 49ers were paying more attention and focusing on stopping Quick or if he just wasn't winning his routes. Quick wasn't going to continue to his torrid pace with the Rams getting into their NFC West division schedule, but he's still a solid WR3. He'll see plenty of Richard Sherman next week when the Rams host the Seahawks at home.

Brian Quick caught five passes for 87 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 5 loss at Philadelphia.

Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher predictably had no shot against Quick, who continues his third-year breakout. Most encouragingly, Austin Davis looks like a real gunslinger that has eyes for his size/speed wideout. The first touchdown came off a scramble play and the second one was a perfectly executed back-shoulder goal-line throw. Now averaging 7.7 targets a week through four games, Quick is an every-week WR3. He's on pace for 84 catches, 1,288 yards and 12 touchdowns. Quick gets a home game against the 49ers in Week 6.

Brian Quick had two catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Cowboys.

Quick got behind Morris Claiborne for a 51-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It was his only notable play of the game, but he continues to show well as the clear No. 1 option in the offense. Quick has at least 60 yards or a touchdown in all three games this season. He'll be a strong WR3 when the Rams come out of their bye in Week 5.
