Brian Quick caught 2-of-2 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' Week 3 win over the Bucs.
Quick entered the afternoon with four catches for 31 yards, but amazingly ended up scoring the Rams' first touchdown of the season. Running a simple post, Quick scorched Alterraun Verner for a 44-yard touchdown. At best the No. 3 receiver in the Rams' limp passing attack, Quick won't be coming into 2016 fantasy value. Brian Quick caught 3-of-3 targets for 15 yards in Saturday's third preseason game.

Quick spent some time with the first-team offense. Quick has had a horrendous preseason, catching only six passes for 55 yards and getting called out by coach Jeff Fisher for drops, but doesn't appear to be on the roster bubble. He is behind rookie Pharoh Cooper. Quick hasn't been the same since his severe 2014 shoulder injury.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher called out WR Brian Quick for his drops.

"Your receivers have to catch it, not drop it," Fisher said. "He’s had too many drops, so he’s going to have to focus on that." Quick dropped two passes in the second preseason game and has failed to do anything of note through two games. He also appears to be behind rookie Pharoh Cooper on the depth chart. He does not need to be drafted in any format.

Brian Quick absorbed 2-of-5 targets for 27 yards in Saturday's preseason game.

His night also included a costly drop. Quick has failed to make an impact in either of his two preseason games (one catch for 13 yards last week versus Dallas) and wasn't even mentioned when coach Jeff Fisher spoke about the team's receiving corps last week. Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin and Pharoh Cooper seem to be locked in as the Rams' top three receivers, leaving Quick to battle Michael Thomas, Nelson Spruce and Paul McRoberts for one of the last few spots. Even if Quick survives final cuts, he won't carry any fantasy relevance.

Coach Jeff Fisher said he's seen "significant improvement" from WR Brian Quick at OTAs.

Quick has always seemed to flash in shorts and shells on the practice field, but at 27 (next week) time is really running out for the fifth-year receiver to become something. Quick had a big first half of the 2014 season with 25-375-3 through six games, but tore up his shoulder and couldn't find the field in 2015. Quick is expected to compete for the No. 2/3 receiver job this summer.

ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner projects Brian Quick to be the No. 3 receiver.

Quick was technically the No. 3 receiver for stretches of last season as well, but that role only netted him 10 receptions on 352 offensive snaps. Perhaps the Rams open up the offense more with No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff calling the shots, but it is highly unlikely Quick carries any fantasy value playing behind Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt.

Rams re-signed WR Brian Quick to a one-year deal.

It's worth "up to" $3.75 million, and includes $1.5 million guaranteed. It's a surprising move from Quick, who caught only 10 passes last season after being hidden away behind Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt. Quick never seemed healthy after suffering a severe shoulder injury in 2014, but he appeared out of the Rams' plans. Going on 27, he was a prime candidate for a fresh start elsewhere. It's hard to see Quick approaching WR3 value with Case Keenum apparently set to start as the Rams make the move to Los Angeles. Dynasty league stashers take it on the chin with this one.

Brian Quick caught 2-of-5 targets for 23 yards in the Rams' Week 17 loss to San Francisco.

Quick looked poised for breakout in the first month of the 2014 season, but it's been a downhill descent ever since with a significant offseason shoulder surgery followed by a disappearing-act 2015 campaign. Quick finished at 10 receptions for 102 yards on the year, showing nothing overly promising in his handful of opportunities. Quick is now headed for free agency at age 26. A one-year "prove-it" contract would make sense for Quick on a receiver-needy team.

Brian Quick caught 1-of-6 targets for 14 yards in St. Louis' Week 13 loss to the Cardinals.

Quick has drawn 11 targets over the past two weeks, but turned them into three catches for 22 yards. He remains well off the re-draft radar. An impending free agent, Quick would benefit from bolting the Rams. He still has playmaking upside.

Brian Quick wasn't targeted in the Rams' Week 11 loss to the Ravens.

After seeing a team-high seven looks last week, Quick barely played on Sunday. It's become a guessing game. Quick can be left on waiver wires.

Brian Quick caught 1-of-7 targets for 37 yards in the Rams' Week 10 loss to the Bears.

The targets were a team-high, but Nick Foles' inaccuracy played a big role in Quick not having a more productive day. We also wouldn't read too much into Quick's seven targets; this offense can't support many pass catchers, and the snaps out wide in St. Louis are too much of a mess at this time.

Brian Quick failed to catch his lone target in the Rams' Week 7 win over the Browns.

Quick actually caught the pass, but previously ran out of bounds before coming back in to make the grab. It was an illegal play that wiped out a 30-plus-yard gain. Quick has some serious depth chart climbing to do in St. Louis.

Brian Quick caught 1-of-3 targets for 10 yards in the Rams' Week 5 loss to the Packers.

Quick played only six snaps in his 2015 debut last week, but was more involved today. Unfortunately, he failed to make an impact, with one of his missed connections being a truly dreadful drop. Quick jumped for no reason, screwing up his hands and timing. Quick's other look was a deep shot to the back of the end zone, but there was a ton of contact on a play where the refs refused to throw a flag. In theory, Quick continues to offer upside as a WR5 stash in 12-14 team leagues, but the Rams' "passing attack" is so anemic, he's not a must hold, even as he finally begins to play.

Rams WR Brian Quick is active for Week 5 against the Packers.

Quick should see more than the six snaps he played in his Week 4 debut, but he remains off the starting radar for the time being. Inactive for the Rams are WLB Alec Ogletree, QB Sean Mannion, S Maurice Alexander, LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar, OT Darrell Williams, OG Cody Wichmann and DT Ethan Westbrooks.

Brian Quick played six snaps in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

It remains a bit of a mystery why the Rams are taking things so slow with a player who was their best receiver before injuring his shoulder last season, but his role can obviously only increase. Quick should eventually have value in 12-14 team leagues.
