Kellen Moore finished the preseason 41-of-78 (52.6 percent) for 434 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Moore was at his best in the preseason finale against the Bills when he was allowed to play the final three quarters. Lions coach Jim Schwartz says undrafted rookie QB Kellen Moore "grasped the offense very well" in minicamp.

"It’s well documented that he doesn’t have the strongest arm, (or) prototypical size," Schwartz said. "(But) you get seven points for moving the ball and getting it into the end zone, and that’s what he has done so far. ... He finds a way to get it done." Moore has drawn almost universally negative reviews from the media, but the Lions sound prepared to give him a long look in camp. He's still almost certainly headed for the practice squad, however.

According to MLive.com's Anwar Richardson, undrafted rookie QB Kellen Moore's lack of arm strength "has been noticeable" in offseason workouts.

Per Richardson, Moore's passes lack "a significant zip," and "many ... float toward receivers." Moore had a great college career, but he's going to get exposed in live, game action. He's a practice squad candidate at best in Detroit.

Coach Jim Schwartz isn't sure if the Lions will carry three quarterbacks.

The Lions have only Shaun Hill and UDFA Kellen Moore under contract behind Matthew Stafford. Moore says he signed with the Lions in part because they had just two other quarterbacks. He may just end up on the practice squad, though.

Lions agreed to terms with Boise State QB Kellen Moore.

The all-time winningest quarterback in NCAA history, Moore is a classic case of a player who was elite in college but doesn't project favorably at the next level. A four-year starter, Moore's intangibles and outstanding anticipation and timing in his throws will have to compensate for his lack of physical tools to make it in the NFL. In Detroit, he would compete as a third-stringer behind Matthew Stafford and Shaun Hill.

Sporting News draft analyst Russ Lande believes Boise State QB Kellen Moore is in danger of going undrafted after a poor Senior Bowl.

Per Lande, Moore "will have to be amazing at the Combine and his Pro Day if he hopes to get drafted." Compared in stature to an equipment manager rather than a quarterback by FOX's Alex Marvez, Moore reportedly showed "below average arm strength" and was inaccurate on passes beyond ten yards in Mobile.

After watching Kellen Moore practice for two days at the Senior Bowl, The Sideline View's Adam Caplan compares the former Boise State star to Tyler Palko.

It's not a good thing. According to Caplan, Moore's arm strength is "less than ideal," and he struggles putting any mustard on downfield passes further than 20 yards. SI.com draft analyst Tony Pauline recently stated that Moore has the least velocity of any quarterback in Mobile. At under 6-foot and 191 with a noodle arm, Moore may be lucky to be drafted at all this April.

Boise State QB Kellen Moore measured just 5-foot-11 3/4 and 191 pounds at Monday's Senior Bowl weigh-in.

He's a hair taller than Wisconsin's Russell Wilson, but both quarterbacks' height will be working against them on draft weekend. Moore's arm strength is also considered to be weaker than Wilson's. A prolific college quarterback, Moore projects as a late-round pick or undrafted free agent in the pros.
