Giants signed WR Juron Criner, WR Chris Harper, WR Julian Talley, OL Michael Bamiro, CB Bennett Jackson, P Robert Malone, DB Josh Victorian, DB Thomas Gordon, DE Jordan Stanton, FB Nikita Whitlock, and LB Unai Unga to reserve/future contracts.

The most notable name here is Criner, a failed Reggie McKenzie pick in Oakland. A favorite of draftniks coming out of Arizona in 2012, Criner often shined in Raiders offseason practices, but disappeared when the pads went on. The 25-year-old will head to the spring as a member of New York's 90-man roster.

Giants signed WR Juron Criner to their practice squad.

Criner (6-foot-3, 220) was let go by the Raiders at final cuts. He's always been a star in OTAs and non-padded practices, but hasn't been able to translate it to games. Criner has also battled a number of injuries since being the 168th pick in the 2012 draft. The Giants will look to develop him on the practice squad.

Raiders waived or released WR Juron Criner, QB Trent Edwards, and OG Lucas Nix.

Criner was shining at spring practices, and was even called "far and away" the best receiver at OTAs. It didn't translate when the pads came on. Criner has good size at 6'3/220. But he's never been able to stay healthy. He ended up catching 2-of-4 targets for 22 yards this preseason. Edwards is a journeyman.

The Contra Costa Times observes Juron Criner has "far and away" looked like the best receiver on the field at Raiders OTAs.

At 6-foot-3 and 221 pounds, Criner is going to catch the eyes of observers in non-contact practices in gym shorts. The third-year receiver has appeared in just 13 career games due to injuries and has just 19 catches for 183 yards and one score to his name. He ended last season on I.R. with a shoulder injury and was active just once. Behind James Jones, the receiver depth chart is wide open.

Raiders placed WR Juron Criner on injured reserve with an AC sprain in his right shoulder, ending his season.

Criner has dealt with injures all season and wasn't close to returning from a shoulder issue suffered in Week 9. The former fifth-round pick will compete for a roster spot in 2014.

Juron Criner (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 10.

Criner played 62 snaps, surprisingly, in last week's loss to the Eagles, but only due to pass-happy comeback mode. He's not on the re-draft league radar.

Raiders WR Juron Criner has been diagnosed with an AC sprain in his right shoulder.

Criner finally got healthy and on the active list for Week 9, contributing three catches for 22 yards. Now the oft-injured possession receiver is back on the shelf.

Raiders WR Juron Criner's right shoulder is in a sling.

Criner was active for the first time this season last week and played 63-of-92 snaps. He's been rather injury-prone his first two seasons. Criner battled hip and ankle issues as a rookie. He seems unlikely to play in Week 10.

Raiders WR Juron Criner played 63-of-92 snaps in his 2013 debut Sunday.

Criner was on the field more than either Rod Streater or Jacoby Ford. He parlayed the snaps into three catches for 22 yards. Criner hasn't moved ahead of Streater on the depth chart, but the playing time is an indication he won't be back on the inactives list any time soon. Criner is not a re-draft league consideration.

Raiders declared WR Juron Criner, SS Tyvon Branch, LB Martez Wilson, DE Ryan Robinson, C Andre Gurode, T Menelik Watson, and T Tony Pashos inactive for Week 8 against the Steelers.

Darren McFadden is back near 100 percent -- for now -- and the Raiders have C Stefen Wisniewski again following a multi-week knee injury.

Raiders second-year WR Juron Criner has been "outshined" by waiver pickup Andre Holmes in training camp.

A onetime draftnik favorite, possession receiver prospect Criner was all but a zero as a rookie and has made precious little noise in his second training camp. He finished 2012 with 16 catches for 151 yards (9.4 YPR) and was a healthy scratch for four games. Criner is worth dropping in Dynasty leagues.

Raiders declared WR Juron Criner (hip) inactive for Sunday's Week 17 finale against the Chargers.

Criner was listed as probable, but there's no reason for the Raiders to risk him in this meaningless game. The fifth-round rookie finishes with 16 catches for 151 yards and one touchdown while playing behind the likes of Rod Streater and Derek Hagan. He'll be back next season to battle for the No. 4 wideout job. The rest of the Raiders' inactives: QB Carson Palmer (ribs), RB Jeremy Stewart, S Tyvon Branch, LB Rolando McClain, G Mike Brisiel and DL Brandon Bair.

Raiders WR Juron Criner sustained a hip injury during Sunday's Week 15 win over the Chiefs.

Criner lasted just eight plays before departing. He's been acting as the Raiders' No. 4 wideout behind Denarius Moore, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Rod Streater. Criner has just 16 catches all season.

Juron Criner reeled in four passes for 26 yards in Week 13 versus the Browns.

Criner did see nine targets on the day, but they weren't turned into much production. The rookie is nothing more than the fourth or fifth option in the Oakland passing attack. Leave him on the waiver wire.
