Dolphins waived WR Jeff Fuller, LB David Hinds, DE Emeka Onyenekwu, WR Andrell Smith and LB Nathan Williams.
Fuller has now failed to latch on in back-to-back camps despite the presence of his college quarterback and coach. He has NFL size at 6-foot-4, 223 pounds, but can't separate from professional defensive backs. Tue, Aug 27, 2013 04:33:00 PM

Dolphins signed WR Jeff Fuller, OTs Jeff Adams and Andrew McDonald, OG Chandler Burden, DT Chas Alecxih, and DB DeAndre Presley to reserve/future contracts.

Fuller is easily the most notable name of the bunch. The 6-foot-4, 223-pound receiver was Ryan Tannehill's top target at Texas A&M before latching on in Miami last offseason. He owns pans for hands and is slow of foot, though. Alecxih saw his fair share of air time on last summer's season of Hard Knocks. This handful of players will be among dozens to spend the offseason in Miami for spring workouts before hoping to make it to training camp.

Dolphins signed WR Jeff Fuller and Chris Hogan to their practice squad.

Ryan Tannehill's top college target, Fuller caught seven balls for 55 yards in the preseason. Hogan earned the nickname "7-11" because Reggie Bush says he get open and stays that way. Fuller might get an early-season call-up.

Dolphins waived WR Jeff Fuller.

At 6'4/223, Fuller's size gave him a chance to stick in the Dolphins' undersized receiving corps. He's a decent bet to get a practice squad invite.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald does not envision undrafted WR Jeff Fuller making the Dolphin's 53-man roster.

Fuller has shown "flashes", but he's struggled with drops and hasn't emerged despite what is essentially a wide open competition at wide receiver in Miami. Considered a borderline first-round talent by draft pundits just one year ago, a poor senior season led to a plummet down draft boards.

Two NFL front office men told the National Football Post's Dan Pompei last fall that Dolphins undrafted rookie WR Jeff Fuller was a first-round talent.

Fuller had no worse than second-round grades from scouts entering his senior season. He dropped far too many passes in 2011, however, and struggled at the Senior Bowl before suffering a stress fracture in his foot. Fuller will have to rebound in a big way, but he definitely has skill level to make the Dolphins.

SI's Peter King believes undrafted Dolphins WR Jeff Fuller could win a starting job.

"I think you should pay attention to one undrafted player if you play fantasy football: Jeff Fuller," King said. King, of course, doesn't typically weigh in on fantasy matters, but believes Dolphins coach Joe Philbin has a "blank-slate philosophy" with everyone on the roster, and that Fuller is "absolutely an NFL-caliber receiver" if he displays good hands in training camp. Fuller struggled mightily with drops as a senior, but will be reuniting with his college coach and quarterback. At the very least, he'll be given every chance to earn a roster spot.

Dolphins signed Texas A&M WR Jeff Fuller.

Fuller is reuniting with his college coach and quarterback. Fuller followed up a disappointing senior season with a disappointing Senior Bowl, and then missed the Combine with a stress fracture in his foot. He has NFL size (6-foot-4, 217 pounds), but is not a burner and has displayed inconsistent hands and effort. Still, his Ryan Tannehill/Mike Sherman connection could give him an inside track to a roster spot.

Texas A&M WR Jeff Fuller ran a 4.53 forty with a 36-inch vertical jump at his Pro Day on Wednesday.

Fuller sat out the Combine due to a stress fracture in his foot, so a low 4.5 time is solid for his 6-foot-4 frame. Another big name that failed to meet expectations in his senior year, Fuller showed inconsistent hands and a lack of effort at Texas A&M and during the Senior Bowl. Now likely a third-day pick, we think Fuller has some Dwayne Jarrett to him.

Texas A&M WR Jeff Fuller has a stress fracture in his foot and won't work out until the Aggies' March 29 Pro Day.

He'll sit out the Combine. Fuller, who suffered the injury at the Senior Bowl, had a disappointing week of practices in Mobile after an even more disappointing senior season. He's a candidate to be drafted in the later rounds.

According to Sporting News draft analyst Russ Lande, Texas A&M WR Jeff Fuller was among the most disappointing players at the 2012 Senior Bowl.

The NFL Network crew of Charles Davis and Mike Mayock also alluded to his struggles. Fuller was highly rated after a mammoth junior season capped by a stellar one-on-one showing against Patrick Peterson in last year's Cotton Bowl, but he's been crashing to Earth ever since. According to Lande, Fuller "failed to create any separation" from defensive backs in Mobile, showed "extremely stiff hips," and "had too many drops on easy balls."
