Steelers signed RB Isaiah Pead.

The ex-Ram will provide end-of-roster depth behind DeAngelo Williams, Dri Archer, Jordan Todman and Roosevelt Nix after Le'Veon Bell (MCL) was sent to injured reserve. There are no fantasy ripples here.
Nov 2 - 2:25 PM

Free agent RB Isaiah Pead will work out for the Steelers Monday.

If it goes well, he could take the roster spot of Le'Veon Bell, who is expected to be placed on season-ending injured reserve with a torn MCL. Pead has shown nothing in the NFL, and he will be seldom-used depth behind new starter DeAngelo Williams if he signs.
Nov 1 - 10:18 PM

Free agent RB Isaiah Pead worked out for the Jets on Tuesday.

It's Pead's first known workout since he was cut by the Rams last month. The former No. 50 overall pick showed nothing as a running back in St. Louis.
Oct 21 - 9:33 AM

Rams waived RB Isaiah Pead.

It's a miracle Pead lasted in St. Louis as long as he did. With Todd Gurley back at full strength, Pead's time finally ran out. The former second-round pick will likely be greeted by crickets in free agency.
Sep 29 - 4:41 PM

ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner projects Rams RB/KR Isaiah Pead as a cut.

It remains stunning that Pead has yet to be released. Pead has been a comprehensive bust since the Rams selected him with the No. 50 overall pick of the 2012 draft. He's unlikely to survive until final cuts in training camp.
Jul 23 - 4:41 PM

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch concedes Rams RB Isaiah Pead's roster spot is in trouble.

We're shocked Pead has lasted as long as he has on the Rams' roster. Perhaps the team is showing compassion as he recovers from a torn ACL. One of many running backs Jeff Fisher's Rams have taken early in the draft, Pead has been by far the least successful. The No. 50 overall selection of the 2012 draft has zero career touchdowns.
May 3 - 2:24 PM

Isaiah Pead (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp.

Pead is eight months removed from ACL surgery. When healthy, he’ll be no higher than the No. 4 back. The Rams can save $941,000 by releasing Pead.
Apr 25 - 7:09 PM

The Rams can save $941,000 against the cap by releasing RB Isaiah Pead this offseason.

St. Louis shouldn't have much trouble getting under the salary cap, but cutting Pead, who has mostly been a non-factor during his tenure with the Rams, seems like a no-brainer. The former second-round pick missed all of last season after injuring his knee in a preseason game. Even if Pead was healthy, he'd only be fourth on the team's depth chart behind Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy. Pead's future doesn't look like it's in St. Louis.
Feb 9 - 12:21 PM

Rams RB Isaiah Pead (torn ACL) has cleared waivers, and reverted to injured reserve.

Pead is signed through 2015, but didn't show enough through his first two years in the league for a team to take a chance as he recovers from a major knee injury. Pead will be on the outside looking in of the 53-man roster next summer.

Rams waived/injured RB Isaiah Pead (torn ACL).

Pead tore his ACL while returning the opening kickoff last weekend against the Packers. If he clears waivers, he'll go to the Rams' injured reserve list. He's obviously out for the season, but the former second-round pick has two years left on his rookie contract. A claiming team would have him for 2015. For Pead's sake, it might be best to get claimed and get a fresh start in a new city.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Sunday that RB Isaiah Pead has a torn ACL and will be lost for the season.

Drop him in Dynasty leagues if you haven't already. The 2012 second-rounder had been reduced to special teams since falling to No. 4 on St. Louis' tailback depth chart. Pead will enter the last year of his rookie deal in 2015.

Coach Jeff Fisher said after Saturday night's preseason game the Rams believe RB Isaiah Pead has a torn ACL.

The 50th overall pick in the 2012 draft, this should solidify Pead as a bust in St. Louis. He had been relegated to special teams after falling behind Zac Stacy, Benny Cunningham, and rookie Tre Mason on the running back chart.

Isaiah Pead will undergo an MRI Sunday on his knee.

Per's Ian Rapoport, the "prospects aren't good." Pead left Saturday's game in the first quarter after suffering a non-contact knee injury. He could be headed to injured reserve.

Isaiah Pead was forced from Saturday's preseason game with a knee injury

Pead got hurt on a kick return in the first quarter. It was a non-contact injury, so this has potential to be serious. Pead had to be helped off the field and was later carted to the locker room. The Rams should provide an update on his status after the game.
