Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks (calf) was limited in his return to action Sunday.
Normally an every-down linebacker, Kendricks played on just 23-of-73 snaps and looked far from his usual special self. "I'm not 100 percent, no," he admitted. The good news is Kendricks appeared to avoid setbacks heading into a Week 9 game at Houston. Oct 27 - 11:15 AM

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks (calf) returned to practice Tuesday.

Kendricks, arguably the Eagles best defender and certainly their best cover linebacker, has missed the last three weeks. Getting him back would be huge for a unit that is getting absolutely embarrassed of late. Owners of Larry Donnell and Eli Manning should be watching closely ahead of Week 6.

Eagles declared ILB Mychal Kendricks (calf) inactive for Sunday's Week 4 game at San Francisco.

The Eagles will have to go with a hideous three-headed monster of Casey Matthews, Emmanuel Acho and Marcus Smith once again. It's a major upgrade for the entire 49ers offense. The rest of the Eagles inactives: Matt Barkley, Josh Huff, Jaylen Watkins, Jason Kelce, Kevin Graf and Taylor Hart.

Mychal Kendricks (calf) has still not resumed practicing.

Kendricks is fighting a pretty severe calf pull and it would be a shock if he can play against the 49ers Sunday. As we saw against the Redskins last week, it leaves a massive hole in the Eagles defense. The two-headed monster of Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho can't play.

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks underwent an MRI on his calf.

Sep 15 - 11:00 PM

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks has been assisting with defensive play-calling in OTAs.

Fellow ILB DeMeco Ryans called the plays in 2013, but Kendricks is being groomed to potentially help. It could mean anything from Ryans will play less, to the Eagles want Kendricks to be ready if Ryans goes down with injury. Ryans played 96 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps last season, but was bandied about as a release candidate. Ryans is on the downside of his career, while Kendricks has All-Pro upside.
Jun 10 - 8:04 PM

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks battled thumb issues last season and had it placed in a cast for about a month this offseason to let the loose tendons tighten up.

With his hand in a cast, Kendricks worked on his conditioning over the winter and expects to play faster. He also worked on his core strength to help prevent missed tackles. PFF credited Kendricks with a whopping 21 missed tackles in 2013. He's a sideline-to-sideline linebacker with All-Pro potential.
