Redskins re-signed ILB Zach Brown to a three-year, $24 million contract.
Brown had been seeking "top-three inside linebacker" money but didn't get there. He is getting a significant raise on 2017's $2.3 million. Brown was all over the field last season before missing the final three games with a shin injury. He's a three-down player who wraps up tackles and generates a decent amount of sacks and turnovers. ESPN's Josina Anderson reports impending free agent ILB Zach Brown wants "top-three inside linebacker" money.

Luke Kuechly ($12.36 million), Bobby Wagner ($10.75 million), and Alec Ogletree ($10.5 million) are currently the league's three highest-paid inside linebackers. 28-year-old Brown has strung together back-to-back strong seasons with the Bills and Redskins and wants to cash in after settling for a one-year, $2.3 million deal last March. We doubt he gets the $10 million-plus annually he's seeking.

"Multiple sources" told ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim the team wants to re-sign free agent ILB Zach Brown.

The Skins kept Mason Foster on a cheap, two-year, $4 million deal, but Brown will be far more expensive after another solid mercenary season. Brown now figures to generate multi-year interest from clubs in search of a rangy, sideline-to-sideline linebacker. Browns will draw interest from 4-3 and 3-4 teams alike with experience in both systems. He played inside with Washington.

ESPN's John Keim reports the Redskins may not be willing to meet free agent ILB Zach Brown's asking price.

The Redskins want to keep Brown but there's a "decent gap" in contract talks between the sides. After settling for a prove-it deal, Brown is looking to cash in coming off another strong season. Brown could push for $7 million annually.

Redskins ILB Zach Brown (foot) has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Giants.

Brown suffered a foot injury in Week 14 which ultimately ended his season, but it was just one of several injury issues he dealt with throughout the year. Despite the maladies, Brown was a quality starter for 13 games. He is scheduled to be a free agent, but the Redskins will likely look to bring him back.

ESPN's John Keim reports Redskins ILB Zach Brown (foot) is not dealing with a season-ending injury.

Brown left the Week 14 loss to the Chargers with a foot injury which had him on crutches and in a boot after the game. Keim reports Brown "might miss a week," but it does not sound like he is headed to injured reserve. Martrell Spaight will play a bigger role if Brown is forced to miss time.

The Redskins plan to extend contract-year ILB Zach Brown.

Brown has played an every-down role for DC Greg Manusky this season, starting all 12 games and getting 98-percent of snaps. He leads the league in tackles (117), but has graded out negatively at PFF. After settling for a prove-it deal last offseason, Brown could push for $5 million annually.

Redskins ILB Zach Brown was spotted with a walking boot on his right foot following Thursday's loss to the Cowboys.

Brown was announced with a shin injury, but ended up missing only a handful of snaps. Having a solid enough first year as a Redskin, Brown has been an every-down player. Obviously, the fact that he played through the injury tonight bodes well for his chances of suiting up on 10 days rest in Week 14.

Redskins ILB Zach Brown has been working with the first-team defense.

Will Compton and Mason Foster started the preseason opener, but Brown replaced Compton in the starting lineup during practice this week. The pecking order could certainly change again before Week 1, but Brown offers more athleticism than the other two options, which could help him earn a starting role.

Redskins agreed to terms with ILB Zach Brown, formerly of the Bills, on a one-year contract.

The deal is worth "a maximum value of $4.65 million" and contains a $500,000 signing bonus. 27-year-old Brown established career highs in tackles (149) and forced fumbles (2) in Buffalo last season, although his play leveled off after a hot start, and the Bills' run defense ultimately went in the tank. Washington's defense also struggled versus the run in 2016. In D.C., Brown will compete with incumbents Mason Foster and Will Compton for two starting inside linebacker spots.

Free agent ILB Zach Brown will visit the Redskins on Monday.

Mason Foster and Will Compton are the Redskins' incumbent starters at inside linebacker. Brown would likely replace Compton in the starting lineup. Brown has also drawn interest from the Dolphins, Raiders, and Bills. Miami is believed to have dropped out of the running, making Oakland, Washington, and a return to Buffalo Brown's likeliest destinations.

The Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins are doubtful to sign free agent LB Zach Brown.

It leaves the Raiders as his most likely landing spot. Brown has been holding out for more money, but it sounds like he's going to have to settle for a reduced deal.

The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports free agent LB Zach Brown has narrowed his list down to the Dolphins and Raiders.

The report suggests his visit with the Bills, who he played for last season, did not go well. Salguero points out neither team has met his asking price to this point, so it is possible another team swoops in with a better offer. Brown would be a great get for either team, especially if it comes at a discounted price.

Free agent LB Zach Brown is "exploring all options."

Brown has visited Buffalo, Miami and Oakland. He wasn't close on money with the Dolphins, but hasn't ruled out signing with any of the teams. 27-year-old Brown is the top linebacker remaining on the market.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins and free agent LB Zach Brown are "not close" on money.

That being said, Barry Jackson reports Brown has "by no means" ruled out the Dolphins if "more financially lucrative options do not emerge." Brown would reportedly play strong-side linebacker for the 'Fins. After leaving Miami without a deal, Brown is meeting with his 2016 club Buffalo. He's reportedly also still open to signing with the Raiders, whom he visited last week.
