Nov 27 - 2:06 PM

Larry Donnell's (neck) MRI came back positive and he's now expected to miss Week 12 against the Redskins.

In the medical field, positive is a bad thing. "Obviously something is wrong," Donnell said. There's a report Donnell may have a fracture in his neck. It sounds like he could be done for the season. In Donnell's absence, Will Tye will continue to handle tight end duties. Jerome Cunningham is the backup.
Nov 25 - 2:54 PM

Larry Donnell (neck) is not practicing Wednesday.

Donnell said he's been cleared to play and feels 100 percent. The Giants obviously feel differently. Either way, if he plays, Donnell isn't fantasy-relevant.
Nov 25 - 10:49 AM

Larry Donnell (neck) said he has been cleared to play and feels 100 percent.

Donnell took part in practice Monday and should play this week. Donnell was nothing but a touchdown-or-bust tight end before the injury, and he may lose snaps to Will Tye. He does not need to be owned.
Nov 23 - 1:04 PM

Larry Donnell (neck) is out for Week 10 against the Patriots.

The Giants are hoping he'll be 100 percent after the bye week. Donnell resumed running earlier this week. Will Tye will get another start at tight end Sunday against New England.
Nov 12 - 2:24 PM

Larry Donnell (neck) will not practice Thursday.

Donnell reportedly resumed running Wednesday, but missing Thursday's session puts his Week 10 status in serious doubt. Will Tye started and saw six targets last week against the Bucs, but he is not worth using against the Patriots even if Donnell sits.
Nov 12 - 11:25 AM

Larry Donnell (neck) will resume running Wednesday.

Donnell went down in Week 8 and missed last week's game against the Bucs. He was initially labeled week-to-week and isn't guaranteed to play Week 10.
Nov 11 - 10:56 AM

Giants declared TE Larry Donnell, WR Victor Cruz, CB Prince Amukamara, G Bobby Hart, CB Leon McFadden, OLB J.T. Thomas and MLB Uani' Unga inactive for Week 9 against the Buccaneers.

Donnell is week to week with a sore neck. Craig Dahl (neck), Owa Odighizuwa (hamstring), Rueben Randle (hamstring), Geoff Schwartz (ankle) and Orleans Darkwa (back) are all active for the G-Men. So is DE Jason Pierre-Paul (hand).
Nov 8 - 2:57 PM

Larry Donnell (neck) is out for Week 9.

Donnell said he expects to resume practicing next week. "Will Tye" is the next man up at tight end, and isn't a recommended punt play in DFS leagues.
Nov 5 - 2:28 PM

Larry Donnell (neck) is considered week-to-week.

Coach Tom Coughlin didn't seem interested at all in talking about injuries Wednesday, saying Donnell is week-to-week or day-to-day. Either way, Donnell isn't practicing today. Will Tye will fill in at tight end against the Bucs.
Nov 4 - 11:28 AM

The New York Daily News describes Larry Donnell's injury as a "sore neck."

Donnell has thankfully avoided major injury after being carted to the locker room in Sunday's loss. He's day to day. Donnell will be a mid-range TE2 if he suits up against the Bucs.
Nov 3 - 2:19 PM

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said TE Larry Donnell was suffering from a muscle spasm in his shoulder or neck Week 8 against the Saints.

He had to be carted off the field in the second quarter, so Donnell dealing with "just" a muscle spasm sounds like great news. The Giants have just one other tight end on the roster. They will likely add someone this week.
Nov 2 - 8:56 AM

Giants TE Larry Donnell was carted to the locker room in the second quarter of New York's Week 8 game against the Saints.

It's unclear when Donnell was injured, but obviously the cart and a neck injury is a scary combination. Donnell was having a good game before going down, making a tough 22-yard catch near the goal line and drawing a penalty in the end zone. Will Tye is the next man up at tight end.
Nov 1 - 2:06 PM

Larry Donnell caught 4-of-5 targets for 18 yards in New York's Week 7 win over the Cowboys.

Donnell has yet to surpass 40 yards this season, and has only two touchdowns. He can be dropped during bye week roster crunches.
