Chiefs hired former Eagles WRs coach Greg Lewis for the same position in Kansas City.
Lewis is replacing David Culley, who is joining the Bills as a QBs coach. Lewis took the fall for Philly's disastrous receiver group in 2016, but it is hard to blame him considering the level of talent he was working with. Lewis played under Andy Reid for six seasons with the Eagles in the mid-2000s. Tue, Jan 24, 2017 09:50:00 AM

Eagles hired Greg Lewis as wide receivers coach.

Lewis has a history with Philadelphia, having played there from 2003-08 and working for the Eagles as a coaching intern in 2012. He was an assistant receivers coach with the Saints in 2015. Philadelphia's previous wide receivers coach, Bob Bicknell, has already joined Chip Kelly's staff in San Francisco.

Vikings WR Greg Lewis (concussion) is officially listed as questionable for Week 13 at home against Buffalo.

Lewis didn't practice Friday, and it remains a game-time decision as to whether he'll play. With Percy Harvin's (questionable) migraines flaring up again, Lewis might be needed as depth behind Greg Camarillo if Harvin can't go.

Interim coach Leslie Frazier revealed that WR Greg Lewis sustained a concussion in Week 12.

With Lewis, Sidney Rice, and Percy Harvin all sitting out Thursday, Greg Camarillo ran with the starters. The Vikes don't seem to be overly concerned about their depth for Sunday's game.

Greg Lewis caught two passes for 40 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.

Lewis picked up extra reps because Bernard Berrian once again aggravated his groin issue in the game. His four targets are about four too many for the Vikings.

If the season started today, Greg Lewis would be the Vikings' No. 3 receiver.

Assuming the Vikings don't add a receiver better than Javon Walker, Lewis will play as an outside receiver in three-wideout sets, kicking Percy Harvin into the slot. Still, there's no sleeper value here. Lewis is a 30-year-old career special teamer with poor speed and physicality.

Greg Lewis is expected to start Sunday's exhibition game against the 49ers.

With Sidney Rice (hip) and Percy Harvin (migraines) both out, Lewis is filling in. Once those two return to action, Lewis will resume his role as the No. 4 receiver directly behind Bernard Berrian.

Vikings WR Greg Lewis is the favorite for the No. 4 receiving job, but he'll have to hold off a couple younger players.

Jaymar Johnson and Logan Payne are Lewis' primary combatants. Lewis and Johnson have been practicing on the first team with Bernard Berrian with Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin unavailable, and Payne has "been able to impress." We still like Lewis to win the job here, but no one in this group is likely to make any sort of fantasy impact.

Vikings re-signed WR Greg Lewis to a one-year contract.

Now, the Vikings have one half of the most memorable regular season hook-ups back. Lewis registered just eight catches in 2009 and figures to be no better than the fourth receiver in 2010, assuming he even makes the roster.

Greg Lewis' only catch in his Vikings debut was a game-winning 32-yard touchdown with two seconds left in Week 3 against the 49ers.

Amazing. Brett Favre will get all the credit, of course, but Lewis made an absolutely spectacular leaping, feet-dragging grab at the back of the end zone to give Minnesota a dramatic come-from-behind victory. Lewis' odds of making a consistent week-to-week impact are slim, but dropping Bobby Wade to pick up the Brad Childress favorite has already paid off.

Vikings signed WR Greg Lewis.

Lewis, who was released by the Patriots on Monday, knows Brad Childress from their time together in Philadelphia. Lewis takes the spot of Bobby Wade, who was released earlier today. Lewis will be a fifth receiver at best in Minnesota and won't be a factor in fantasy.

Patriots released WR Greg Lewis.

Lewis was outplayed by Joey Galloway and undrafted free agent Terrence Nunn in the preseason, catching just three balls for 58 yards to Nunn's 8/133/0 line. Nunn went on the practice squad. Lewis will hit free agency.

Bill Belichick recently disclosed that he's been trying to trade for WR Greg Lewis since his rookie season in 2003.

"Greg has killed us every time we played them," Belichick said. "We haven’t been able to cover him." As a high football-IQ fourth receiver/special teamer, Lewis has more value to Belichick than he does to your fantasy squad. Joey Galloway is a better grab.

ESPN's John Clayton expects Greg Lewis to fill Jabar Gaffney's old role as the Patriots' third receiver behind Randy Moss and Wes Welker.

Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post expects the same. Lewis offers better speed than Gaffney, but probably won't see any more targets. Gaffney averaged 37 catches for 459 yards a season between 2007 and 2008.

Patriots acquired WR Greg Lewis from the Eagles and a seventh-round 2010 draft pick in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Lewis, 29, only has 56 catches over the last three years, but has always been a Patriot killer and carries a cheap contract through 2011. Mostly a special teamer in Philly, he'll be a candidate for a bigger role now. He could replace Jabar Gaffney as a third receiver behind Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Lewis' kickoff coverage value probably assures him of a roster spot.
